Implementor Volgathras Posted August 6, 2014 Implementor Report Share Posted August 6, 2014 So my wife has decreed that I require a new keyboard. Apparantly the one I use now is somewhere between a jackhammer and that gravity piston thing they used in the awful spiderman reboot. It needs to be durable, because i routinely have to redo all my work on test 5 times, and silent as the grave.Nothing fancy, just quiet and reliable. Suggestions please.

Cephirus
So basically you want a non-mechanical keyboard (silent), what are your thoughts on Ergonomical vs. Standard? Any other preferences or must haves? Depending on your price range, here are a few ideas I would look into: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA4831KG2659 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823109148 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823162013
dewaholic
Don't use a jack hammer or gravity piston for typing? Would probably solve your redoing things five times issue too. More seriously, I use one sometimes that is just projected onto my desk. Works well and its pretty silent unless you have heavy fingers or are looking for something to throw in frustration. Implementor Volgathras Posted August 7, 2014 Author Implementor Report Share Posted August 7, 2014 How accurate are those things, really? It just seems to me there'd be all sorts of issues with ghosting keys, missing input, etc etc.
Magick
Been wondering that myself.
dewaholic
It is very rare that you miss a keystroke because of the device, though it does happen. I wouldn't use one for keyboard controls of a game like minecraft but for what I do it works fine. Some of the hardcore players here probably wouldnt use them for fear of their PK's getting away I would think. I still use it here though and I cant think of a single time that I have died because of the device and not my own Newbie Splendor kicking in.
