Magick
Half of Canada wants to be in the US. The other half wish they were French so they can surrender to the US.
Iyorvin
Yeah, it's always ok for Americans to make those jokes, but if Canada does it.....ooo boy. But I hardly see any backing to your point, who in their right mind would want to join a county who votes in George W. Bush.
Magick
Join? Well. Easilly the simple fact that noone can hold the presidency for more than 10 years. In addition that while he's not the greatest president we've had, he's the best that we had to choose from. At the time anyway. In the majority's eyes anyway. Excepting Florida. Iyorvin
Hey, no hate. Just saying, I'm happy to live in my country with it's diverse population, low crime rate, free health care, abundance of social services, and vast amount of hockey coverage and beer and wine stores. Warpnow
he's the best that we had to choose from. At the time anyway. In the majority's eyes anyway. Excepting Florida. Actually that is not true. At all. He was voted into office without a majority of the votes. But, hey, at least vast portions of the US aren't uninhabited. And its just FUN to make fun of the french. Did anyone see the final episode of 70s show? Red has to show the house to a family named "du bois" and he says, "Ahh, Kitty...I don't want germans living here." Kitty says, "Oh, they're french." Then red says, "Oh, I know...but they'll give the house to the first germans that knock on the door." :-p

Chayesh
Since majority, by most common definitions, means 1 more than half, President Bush's re-election was the first time a president HAS had a majority of the popular vote since his father.
