Hey everyone. These are the (mostly) unedited minutes of the AMA from last week. It's 60+ pages of reading, but it didn't feel like that much! Keep an eye out for more game events, or suggest your own! and so, here they are...

Volgathras (Admin):

Mya. We don't want to go in to specifics too deep here because it would be unfair for the vulns of other races. But perhaps morl can give you a little something.

Volgathras (Admin):

And to clarify, it isn't a physical vuln, but a weapon vuln. Very different.

mya:

Aren't Vulns modifiers to damage?

Volgathras (Admin):

Morl can be more specific perhaps, but from an OLC (building) perspective, vulns/resistances/etc can be set for a wide range of things; from negative to holy to magic to afflictive to bash to pierce and on and on.

mya:

Share only what you wish, but understand my position here is to try to learn as much as I can.

mya:

Aren't those the damage types Volg?

mya:

Vuln to afflictive? That's interesting.

Volgathras (Admin):

They are, and resistances are set to those as far as I'm aware.

Anume (Admin):

anyway. lose some of their resistance to magic = they still got a resistance to magic, just a little less

Anume (Admin):

gain a slight vuln to weapon = gain a SLIGHT (=not like ogres to magic) vuln to weapon mundane damage

mya:

So a lower damage reduction. What about the effect on saves vs spell?

Magick:

I thought that was just answered.

mya:

Got your question Magick?

Volgathras (Admin):

We'll come back around. time for the next.

Volgathras (Admin):

Professor, you're up.

Volgathras (Admin):

Ok, we'll get back to you. Magick?

The Professor:

I turned up as a spectator, more as a means to stay informed. I don't really have anything of merit to contribute... I suppose an estimated time when we can expect to see the release of some of the bigger projects you're currently doing. (Herald revamp/Draconian/etc.)

Volgathras (Admin):

Oh wow, big one, ok

Volgathras (Admin):

As with any project of those sizes, it's difficult to give a strict ETA. What we DO have is an order of operations and a to-do list.

Volgathras (Admin):

On that list are necro revamps, heralds, bards, army warfare, a new race, not necessarily in that order.

Volgathras (Admin):

Several things go in to the implementation of these projects, not limited to but including available time, difficulty of thep roject, and whether other more pressing things crop up.

Volgathras (Admin):

what I can say with confidence is that we're taking hes projects - of which there around around... six? curently under intense scrutiny... very seriously and we hope to get them done ASAP.

Volgathras (Admin):

But won't roll out anything until we feel it's in the best interests of the players and the game.

The Professor:

okie dokie, I appreciate the insight.

Volgathras (Admin):

PERSONALLY, I have a huge interest in the Herald rework.

The Professor:

:D

mya:

I think we all do.

Volgathras (Admin):

Any follow up question, Professor, before we move to Magick?

The Professor:

oh, no... thank you kindly though.

Volgathras (Admin):

Any question or commonet contributes, so ready your next salvo.

Volgathras (Admin):

Magick, you're up to the plate.

Magick:

Mine is more a question of approximate time frames between newly started RP lines with yet unfinished ones. Like our newest Imms and possible religious takeovers in addition to wrapping up the Drkshtyre plot(s) amongst others.

mya:

There's still a Drkshtyre plot?

Magick:

I believe there is.

Volgathras (Admin):

Well, the Drkshtyre plot (the gor'gorak) is in progress. Recently, Anthesitiaga and a few players managed to fracture the beast, but it'll be back soon.

Volgathras (Admin):

That is currently in the playe's field, as they work towards figuring out a more permanent solution.

Volgathras (Admin):

Other RP plots are ongoing, and usually require additional input and effort from players to move forewrd.

Volgathras (Admin):

Religious takovers for imms are up to Anume as the staff imp. s far as I understand it, it takes a little time for the switch over, like a 'trial period' sort of thing.

Magick:

So light a fire. Got it.

Volgathras (Admin):

For RP plots, the more players get in to it, the harder imms work for it. Basic fact of life.

Volgathras (Admin):

now that's not to say that's all of it. The Gor'gorak plot was stalled to due outside circumstances. But we're moving foreward.

Volgathras (Admin):

Any follow-up?

Magick:

Thus the question about that directly. I've no further questions thus far.

Volgathras (Admin):

Do you feel like I answered your question?

Magick:

Yes, as some time frames are ballpark at best and are (can be) directly influenced by player input.

Volgathras (Admin):

I try not to commit to strict ETAs to avoid dissapointment for that reason.

Volgathras (Admin):

Mya, we're back to you.

mya:

:D

Anume (Admin):

there are almost constantly also some small scale plots going on, sometimes started by players, which we try to support.

mya:

Volg, what do you FEEL is going the be the next project to come out.

Volgathras (Admin):

Thank you. If you're present give me a quick message so I know to wait for your question.

Morlhach (Admin):

sorry guys - working while trying to be here (so if I don't answer something keep me a list)

Volgathras (Admin):

We have a work-in-progress To-Do list on the imm forums with projects in the works. I don't want to give specifics to give away the surprie but Morl has been hard at work at big and small projects both.

Volgathras (Admin):

sa Let me see...

mya:

It's FEEL, so I'm only asking for your guess.

Volgathras (Admin):

It isn't a guess, we're in constant communication and working towards finishing projects. That said, sometimes things take precedence like hotfixes or balance issues.

Volgathras (Admin):

The next change will be a fun, if largely cosmetic change. After that we're looking at something more meaty.

f0xx:

heeeeeeellllooooooooooo

Volgathras (Admin):

Hey foxx.

Volgathras (Admin):

Follow up question Mya?

f0xx:

this thing started already?

mya:

So you can't name the large cosmetic change?

Volgathras (Admin):

I'm not sure we're far enough along for me to commit to revealing that, yet.

Volgathras (Admin):

Morl, as I mentioned, is very busy. It's not for me to say.

mya:

Allright...

Volgathras (Admin):

Note that these are game-wide changes, there is also constant building ork going on.

Volgathras (Admin):

Professor?

mya:

To be frank I though you were going to say Herald.

The Professor:

would it be an acceptable use of the prayer forum to provide comprehensive character concepts that are out of the norm as a means to have the staff better understand the specifics of the character and where the player wants to take it? I'm sure you can get bogged down by the prayer forums a lot, but trying to convey everything through IC apps can be a bit difficult.

Volgathras (Admin):

We absolutely encourage players to bring their thoughts and concerns to the prayer forum. I feel like that's a misconception, so let me be clear about the purpose of the prayer forum in it's entirety..

mya:

@The professor> Isn't that what the journal is for ?

f0xx:

My thoughts exactly.

Volgathras (Admin):

The Prayer Forum is there as a direct means of communication by players to staff, on any topic. whether that's concerns over game issues, bugs, even rants anf tirades over things you feel are a problem. We are a professional group and we care deeply about how player's feel.

Volgathras (Admin):

This also includes character concepts and plot ideas.

Volgathras (Admin):

THAT SAID, we are people too, and while we are professionals we get hurt feelings like anyone else. So please make sure you keep that in consideration when speaking with us over prayer. no one wants to be abused.

Volgathras (Admin):

Feelings runs high in competitive settings, of hich FL is. We understand that, but communication is a mutually respectful manner is paramount to a healthy community.

Volgathras (Admin):

Any follow-up?

The Professor:

no, thank you for your time.

Volgathras (Admin):

Wow, that post was just... so bad with the spelling.

Morlhach (Admin):

I was going to comment on spelling - but your feelings and all...

f0xx:

Mya approves it.

Volgathras (Admin):

Magick, then f0xx. Fire away.

f0xx:

Lol morle haha

mya:

@f00x :P

Magick:

Still taking building/built areas with the usual stipulations (intellectual rights, etc, etc)?

Volgathras (Admin):

I'm sorry, I don't quite follow..

Volgathras (Admin):

Do you mean that if we build an area with us it becomes the intellectual property of the forsaken lands?

Magick:

More along the lines of are you still accepting player made areas?

Magick:

With the stipulations mentioned in the thread.

Magick:

If said thread is still there.

Volgathras (Admin):

We are absolutely accepting player areas. In fact, we have three areas on test in thep rocess of being made by players. The process is the same as it was under Malchaeius, hich can be found in the Divine Mandates...

Volgathras (Admin):

If you're interested in building an area, post on prayer your idea, the basic layout, some example rooms, and if approved I will give you access to test and train you in the basics of building.

Volgathras (Admin):

Now what we often see if that people underestimate the effort building takes. It is not a one-off thing. I take it seriously, and if you're given access to test you're expected to provide results, within reason.

f0xx:

hmmm interesting

Volgathras (Admin):

I won't be a slave-driver, but if you go two months without loging on I'll assume you gave up, which is what happens 80% of the time.

Magick:

Of course.

mya:

Males sense.

Volgathras (Admin):

So in short, yes. I personally LOVE it when players express an interest in building... but it rarely pans out.

Volgathras (Admin):

Any follow-up?

Magick:

Negative.

Morlhach (Admin):

Don't let Volg fool you - he's a machine when it comes to building and areas.

Volgathras (Admin):

F0xcx, you're shot.

f0xx:

Ok then.

Morlhach (Admin):

in other words - not human.

Morlhach (Admin):

Demon-y and faerie-yish.

f0xx:

My questions are more related to the administration of the game and such.

Volgathras (Admin):

Cool.

f0xx:

Do you know each other as players, I mean does Volg know who actually stays behind the Morle alias and so on.

Magick:

I'm going to be AFK for a bit.

Volgathras (Admin):

Do you mean do I know these guys personally on a first name basis?

f0xx:

I mean, if lets say I become an IMM, do you have some introduction thread where it's said like "f0xx's IMM alias will be Voodoo"

f0xx:

for example

Volgathras (Admin):

I'm sorry, I'm not 100% on what you mean. We do know an imm's forum handle before they were immed, the characters they play, etc. As we do for eveyone.

f0xx:

And everyone in your team knows exactly who Voodoo is

f0xx:

Do all IMMs have access to this info or just the higher level ones?

Volgathras (Admin):

If you mean, like, codenames.. well, Anume is bosllady, Morl is.. what was it, black? Isn't that what it means?

Morlhach (Admin):

o.0

Volgathras (Admin):

We have tools to help us identify players by IP. this is available to all imms.

Morlhach (Admin):

I know Anume on a first name basis, as she does me. I don't know Volgs name.

f0xx:

No you don't get it.

Volgathras (Admin):

I apologize, please clarify for me.

f0xx:

Do all the IMMs know which players stands behind every IMM alias.

Volgathras (Admin):

I'm not sure. Probably? Anume is staff imm, so she reaches out. She'll often come to me for questions concerning my thoughts. As for the other imms I assume they talk and figure it out.

mya:

I think what F0xx is trying to ask is if I Mya was raised to lowbie imm by the name punpkin would the other imms know that Pumpkin is mya.

Volgathras (Admin):

I personally don't usually ask what they're forum handle was before they were immed, doesn't matter much to me.

Volgathras (Admin):

their*

f0xx:

ok then, another question.

Volgathras (Admin):

ok

f0xx:

Is there an IMM accepted policy to cover up each other, like if one IMM makes a mistake, you don't argue each other publically?

Morlhach (Admin):

If you're asking if I know who a player in behind a character (ie an IMM) I don't. I usually don't look unless I have reason to find out.

f0xx:

Aye, that's what I was asking Morle.

Volgathras (Admin):

Ahh, no. To find out who plays a character takes some searching. Like he said, we usually don't care unless they require looking up.

Morlhach (Admin):

(and I can find out without a doubt, usually, if I must. But I try to keep every character a mystery to me as to stay as unbias as possible)

f0xx:

I meant IMMs and their player aliases lol ;p

Volgathras (Admin):

Interesting follow-up. It isn't our policy to call out ANYONE's mistakes, as you may know if you've ever posted a prayer about an issue. We deal with these things individually with the personal in question.

Volgathras (Admin):

Imms most certainly HAVE made mistakes and acted in a fashion we felt was unbecoming of an administrator, and these things are dealt with internally. We don't publisize punishments or talking-tos for anyone, staff or player.

f0xx:

Yes. I've seen such recently, but only recently.

Volgathras (Admin):

Does that answer your question?

f0xx:

Yes it does.

Volgathras (Admin):

Alright. Trick, are you there?

f0xx:

wait

f0xx:

i got more ;p

Volgathras (Admin):

One follow-up please, we'll come back around. I'd like to give everyone ample chance to speak.

Trick:

If he is going to ask more about aliases and if the Staff "outs" each other, then I'll go. If not, he can keep asking.

Volgathras (Admin):

We'll come back around. ask your question.

Trick:

Not sure if it was already asked as I am late, but, does the Staff have any ideas or things going to increase the player base?

Volgathras (Admin):

Do you mean do we have any ideas or plans to increase player numbers?

Trick:

I understand the complexity of the issue, but yeah..

Volgathras (Admin):

Th short answer is no. We considered for a while using player donations for advertisement, but determined that was, essentially, a waste of your money. We are consistantly working towards better game environment, immersion, and newbie-friendliness.. but as to specificaly looking to draw in new people, no we have no concrete plans.

Volgathras (Admin):

If you guys have any ideas, please share them.

Volgathras (Admin):

Any follow up?

Trick:

That's all I had. Thanks, my dude.

Volgathras (Admin):

Line up your next. Mya, it's you.

mya:

All right.

mya:

Haa, what can we discuss about Cabal skills up to T.

mya:

I get pointed out by Magick that we can only ...

mya:

Conjecture about them and say their name.

mya:

Not actualy say stuff about them.

Volgathras (Admin):

You know, perhaps Anume or morl can correct me, but I was under the impression cabal skills up to to T were to be named, but specifics not shared. Anything further was off limits.

mya:

So what does that really means?

f0xx:

That's what she basically said ;p

f0xx:

That is the rule indeed.

Trick:

Means you can say Gladiator gets close combat, but not say what it does.

Morlhach (Admin):

Name them in a log, but don't describe what they do. Let the player viewing or fiddling with it figure it out. Keeps the mystery in the game refreshing.

Volgathras (Admin):

Thanks Morl. any follow-up?

mya:

Even if the player just joined the cabal and has no idea what they do?

Volgathras (Admin):

In game is different.

Volgathras (Admin):

If someone is in your cabal and struggling, please feel free to help them.

mya:

So in game we can speak of everything?

Volgathras (Admin):

Quests, should be hinted at. Giving specifics will get you in trouble. Cabal abilities can be generalized, but saying something like "x skill gives you sanc and +hit chance" will earn you a slap.

Morlhach (Admin):

Most everything. But please keep the mystery in the game. Giving out quest info, step by step will get you a smite, as will explaining in detail how something works.

Volgathras (Admin):

Syncronisity five!

mya:

But can I say "X gives you Sanctuary like protection and improves your aim?"

Volgathras (Admin):

Professor, ball's in your court.

The Professor:

I'm just spectating. imagine, if you will, a fly on the wall. :)

Volgathras (Admin):

Don't miss your chance! No question is off-limits!

mya:

Please ask. Your view is unique and contributes.

Volgathras (Admin):

Do I eat my toe-nails? Yes, on occaision. I find the fungus gives an interesting if tangy after-taste.

f0xx:

10:28pmugh...

mya:

grose...

The Professor:

I'm thankful for the opportunity, but I've nothing of import.

Volgathras (Admin):

K, well keep thinking. That brigns us to... magic

Magick:

Still AFK. Pass.

Volgathras (Admin):

K, Foxx.

Anume (Admin):

was afk a bit, think I caught up now.

Volgathras (Admin):

Bosslady's back.

f0xx:

Do you have some kind of a player file which you take into consideration when you are about to give them something... like Qthings for example?

f

0xx:

like for example

Anume (Admin):

several such things, e.g. the rp rewards get listed with text of what they were fore

f0xx:

If a player has a bad player file, it takes longer to achieve getting something

Anume (Admin):

there's also a kill list for each char, saying at which level both chars were at the time and when it happened

Volgathras (Admin):

A physical file? No. We DO take in to consideration a player's history when they apply for things that are traditionally given to players who exemplify good behavior; qthings.

f0xx:

No, I mean a player file, like f0xx has done this and this in the past, he knows whats to get avatar (for example).

Anume (Admin):

if someone really catches our eye in a negative way, we usually start a thread about them on the imm only forum

Volgathras (Admin):

Specific characters, yes, as Anume mentioned; RP lists (reasons for RP points) kill list, history, logs, etc.

Anume (Admin):

if they then apply for a qthing and are a notorious ganger, we'll probably consider it a bit more and perhaps also talk to them about these foreseeable problems.

f0xx:

Like people who have broker rules, does their past make it harder for them to get Qthings for example?

Anume (Admin):

see above, depends on severity.

mya:

*cough F0xx is a rule breaker*

Volgathras (Admin):

If you are a consistantly problem player, we are unlikely to give you something that we give to people who don't give us headaches. That said, we have bent over BACKWARDS to work with people to try and rehabilitate them.

f0xx:

And the opposite, people who are known with good rp and stuff, does this make it easier for them to get things

Volgathras (Admin):

I will give an example..

Volgathras (Admin):

Dharg, as some of you may know him, was consitantly a problem. I worked with him a LOT, nume as well, when he tried for a qthing. We denied the qithing but tried another tactics that was unique to his character.

Anume (Admin):

easier to get things, in a way, yes: they usually also exhibit excellent rp on the new char, and that is 80% of what will accelerate getting a qstuff.

mya:

Who was Dharg?

f0xx:

Zrothum

mya:

Thanks.

Volgathras (Admin):

Not important, the allegory is enough. I wont go in to specifics, but it;'s used rather as an example.

Trick:

Lol, F0xx..

Volgathras (Admin):

So f0xx, let me put it thusly...

Morlhach (Admin):

I think f0xx is fishing for a qthing.. :P

Volgathras (Admin):

None on the staff believe someone is beyond saving, but for a very, very, very select few. We work HARD to make the gme as enjoyable as we can for evetyone.

Anume (Admin):

for everyone is key here.

Anume (Admin):

if someone goes out of their way to make it a miserable experience for everyone ELSE, we'll look into that.

f0xx:

I ask this because I see problematic players getting Qthing over and over and then doing bad things with them, like 90% of the cases

Volgathras (Admin):

It has to be made ABUNDANTLY clear someone is a problem for the entire game before we treat them rdically different.

f0xx:

Like my RL friends, Anume knows him.

Anume (Admin):

and I denied his last 2 undead thief apps.

Volgathras (Admin):

I know who you're referring ot, I think. You'll also not he hasn't ben a problem for a while.

Anume (Admin):

after he had 2 or 3 chances at them and kept messing up.

f0xx:

Ah that's the other one I you speak of.

Volgathras (Admin):

Anyway, we're getting a little too much in to specific player information that i'm not confortable with.

Volgathras (Admin):

Next, Trick.

Anume (Admin):

the other friend of yours has more a rage problem.

mya:

lol

f0xx:

aye

Trick:

Class balance has and always will be a hot topic as PK is such a big factor. Does the Staff(those here of course) consider the PK aspect balanced? Small vs large warriors, for example, is ALWAYS a hot topic and I think we can agree that large is fundamentally stronger than small.

Anume (Admin):

so is a drow mage stronger than a human.

Anume (Admin):

some races will always be better as some classes than others.

Anume (Admin):

blademasters were introduced for the high dex smaller races as a melee alternative to warriors

Anume (Admin):

they are not even viable for the big races

mya:

I disagree with Drow mages being stronger than Humans.

f0xx:

I'll take a mino BLM every day.

Anume (Admin):

that's ok mya.

Morlhach (Admin):

As of right now, even if I don't have exact specifics on class and race differences, I'm pretty confident that every class/race combo is balanced against a number of others.

Anume (Admin):

@ foxx perhaps rather they are not even an allowed option for the bigger races would express more what I mean

Morlhach (Admin):

10:40pmthat said, one race/class will completely and utterly get destroyed by another, while the one doing the destroying will get destroyed by yet another, and so on and so forth. A drow invoker isn't going to be balanced against a minotaur berserker, for instance.

Trick:

Does the Staff consider the race/class roll history into account when looking at the balance of a class? IE: If there are a ton of Ogre warriors vs hardly ANY dwarf/halfling warriors, is this considered and thought to bump up the strength of the latter?

Anume (Admin):

some combis will never be THAT strong in pk, but they are in as rp choices. e.g. a drow warrior.

Anume (Admin):

I think dwarven warriors are ok. I've played some myself. When I did they ended up as the best warrior class in the player polls.

Anume (Admin):

halfling warrior -> drow warrior.

Trick:

Due to PK or RP consistency?

Anume (Admin):

huh?

Volgathras (Admin):

Trick, yes. We get reports from the mud every month. We review those and consider or future track based on that, player reports, personal observation and future plans.

Anume (Admin):

if someone thinks something is truly imbalanced, we usually ask them to give us logs and suggestions.

Anume (Admin):

foxx for example got some blademaster changes implemented that he suggested

Volgathras (Admin):

Next. We're at Mya I believe?

f0xx:

to WEAKEN the class ;p

mya:

Yes.

mya:

1) What does the staff thinks of me.
2) What the staff thinks of my characters?

f0xx:

I'm probably the only player that suggest things that will weaken his favourite class.

Anume (Admin):

@ fox not at all.

f0xx:

lol mya

Volgathras (Admin):

Wow, er... interesting question. Really... I have no idea who you playnow. Personally I like your forum presence, though.

mya:

Not to annoying?

Volgathras (Admin):

It's hard to be too anooying. We're public servants.

Magick:

She's admitted to 37 characters. Time to do some digging. ;}~

Volgathras (Admin):

Alright, magick.

Volgathras (Admin):

No! Professor.

Volgathras (Admin):

My chat list got all wonky

The Professor:

quite alright, still just a fly on the wall. :D

Volgathras (Admin):

K, magick then.

Anume (Admin):

10:47pmhold on a sec

Anume (Admin):

I'll answer Mya's

Volgathras (Admin):

All your osslady.

Volgathras (Admin):

bosslady*

Magick:

Still pass. More or less catching up and trying to formulate a new Q.

Chesta6384:

a tea party, how nice

Anume (Admin):

personally, I think you comment a lot to topics when your understanding of how it really works is not that good. What is astonishing though, is that it completely works out for you for your characters, most of the time.

Anume (Admin):

I think you usually surprise people, Mya. and that works out for you

Anume (Admin):

btw, nobody but volg calls me bosslady and I think it rather embarrassing ;)

Chesta6384:

...

f0xx:

Great answer :P

Volgathras (Admin):

She hired me, what else am I supposed to call her.

Morlhach (Admin):

I call her "hey."

mya:

"is that it completely works out for you for your characters" what does this means?

Magick:

Suggestion: Mama-san.

Anume (Admin):

that you'll often win or at least not die using a very ODD strategy, bc you totally surprise people with it

Anume (Admin):

pff.

mya:

lol

Volgathras (Admin):

Her husband will turn my spleen in to pulp.

Magick:

lol

Chesta6384:

why is nobody playing!

Volgathras (Admin):

Chesta, they're too busy asking us questions, duh.

Chesta6384:

FINALLY have time off work and 0 online

Chesta6384:

why?

Volgathras (Admin):

...

Chesta6384:

something special goin on?

Magick:

We're here for the AMA.

mya:

Didn't you get the memo?

The Professor:

lol

Chesta6384:

must have got lost in the mail

Volgathras (Admin):

We're moving on! Who are we up to.. Trick.

Morlhach (Admin):

Wait.. AMA hurts numbers?

Morlhach (Admin):

DAMN.

Trick:

Does the Staff consider the affects the weapons will have on the PK-world before or after implementation? With the increased availability is the vuln going to be lessened, etc etc…?

Trick:

IE: Storm Forger

Volgathras (Admin):

Absolutely. I will build a weapon on test and post all items on the imm forums for review before tehy go live.

Anume (Admin):

10:51pmthe storm forger was brought in for balance reasons and toned DOWN before it was put in

Anume (Admin):

we also brought in some good only weapons in the past few areas for balance reasons.

Chesta6384:

like you did with the Pit Lord Leggings

Anume (Admin):

some of these are insanely good.

Chesta6384:

:)

Anume (Admin):

rod of light

mya:

The Abbot staff was a great idea.

Magick:

Unique for a reason. Best staff in the game, IMO.

f0xx:

I personally think the storm forger ain't as strong as people make it out.

Magick:

ROL, that is.

Volgathras (Admin):

Is it, time to change...

Trick:

So, the increased availability of a water weapon was intentional despite the massive vulnerability dwarves have? Or was it done in spite of it to give an edge against dwarf blade masters?

f0xx:

Try fighting Thulgan dual wielding water whips wtih your dwarf blm

Trick:

My point exactly. ^

Anume (Admin):

you never died, so don't exaggerate ;)

f0xx:

3 times, when I was inductee ;p

mya:

lol

Anume (Admin):

and no, not really your point. We've made GOOD weapons more available to uncaballed people.

Anume (Admin):

not as a dwarf blademaster

f0xx:

Yeah, as Hedegaard, I still got the logs ;p

f0xx:

anyway, offtopic

mya:

Post logs.

Trick:

Alright.

Anume (Admin):

off topic indeed.

Chesta6384:

I have a questttioonnnn

Anume (Admin):

so, more good weapons were put in to make the gap between caballed and uncaballed a bit smaller

Trick:

And the affects it had on races was not considered?

Volgathras (Admin):

Let's keep side-commentary to a minimum, please, or we'll be here till next week.

Trick:

That sounded aggressive..

f0xx:

lol

Anume (Admin):

yes, the affects were considered, thus we took out the 4 or so average 31 vuln weapons that were first suggested.

Volgathras (Admin):

Trick, yes, vulns and how they react ARE taken in to consideration. We are constantly re-cehcking, however, and if something is in need of changing we do so. Our change logs can confirm this.

Anume (Admin):

as I said, we toned vuln weapons DOWN before putting them in and also changed a few away from vulns

Volgathras (Admin):

Chesta, you're up. bottom of the list.

Chesta6384:

10:58pmis there a way to increase the strength of a dwarf warrior vs that of a dwarf BLM

Chesta6384:

in the sense that dwarf warriors are lacking and dwarf blms are far more powerful

f0xx:

We can argue this...

Anume (Admin):

via eq it would be doable, but hard to do. via code probably, but that's morl's call

mya:

I disagree with that assessment.

Chesta6384:

what i meant to say was, can you strengthen one but keep the other the same

Anume (Admin):

what you'll see is that with some races, the classes will differ in stats

f0xx:

I don't like how some people express their opinions as a fact.

Chesta6384:

everyone knows non giant warriors are average at best in the end

Anume (Admin):

also, as I said before, I don't think dwarven warriors are bad.

Chesta6384:

guess I missed that

Trick:

Just Ogres and giants are way better?

f0xx:

Yes Chesta, it's called realism. In real life a trained giant will be better than a trained dwarf.

Volgathras (Admin):

This is not intended as a forum for argumentation, but a dialogue between staff and player.

Anume (Admin):

as you don't have to deal with the saves aspect that much, you can get as much hr dr on one than an ogre

Trick:

No one in end game wears saves eq.

Anume (Admin):

lol. I sure do.

Anume (Admin):

anyway.

f0xx:

eh...

Trick:

Massive hit/dam overrides the necessity for saves and its been shown TIME and TIME again.

Anume (Admin):

next?

Chesta6384:

ok

f0xx:

again, an opinion

Volgathras (Admin):

Back to Mya.

Anume (Admin):

matter of playstyle.

Anume (Admin):

certainly not how I play.

Anume (Admin):

11:01pmone more thing as food of thought here.

mya:

Ok.

Anume (Admin):

there are diminishing returns on hr dr as well.

Anume (Admin):

just keep that in mind.

Trick:

I am very much aware.

Anume (Admin):

mya?

mya:

What are yours favourite combos? Class´race.

Volgathras (Admin):

I always loved monks.

f0xx:

We know Anumes ;p

Morlhach (Admin):

Immortal IMP.

Volgathras (Admin):

lol Morl.

Morlhach (Admin):

Oh.. actually PLAYING..

The Professor:

lol

mya:

:D

Anume (Admin):

I've had a ton of warriors, I also like vamps, rangers, ninjas and dks.

Anume (Admin):

blademasters

Volgathras (Admin):

Heretics.

Morlhach (Admin):

I'm a jack of all trades.

Volgathras (Admin):

What was the other one hiden in there? I forget..

Anume (Admin):

I suck with pure mages.

Anume (Admin):

though I#ve had some

mya:

There appears to be a trend in years that favors meele.

The Professor:

Conjurers

Volgathras (Admin):

That might be it.

mya:

Does any of the IMM's champions for mages?

Volgathras (Admin):

I have been building tons for mages, lately.

Volgathras (Admin):

Wait till Ayluins Lament is done. The ultimate rewards are mage-tastic.

Anume (Admin):

we also put in a ton of mage eq lately. If you think it not useful, feel free to make suggestions, as was done before

Anume (Admin):

I did a thread on mage eq for some building project a while back, asking what you guys like.

mya:

The problem is in my view EQ benefits Meeles, not mages, primarely.

f0xx:

Agreed with Mya here.

f0xx:

Also, the new RP things you can buy from bazaar do too

f0xx:

and the edges

Anume (Admin):

so make some suggestions. As I said we've already put in a lot of mage eq in lately.

Volgathras (Admin):

I'd be interested in your thoughts. How about you make a spooky thread about it?

mya:

Allright.

Volgathras (Admin):

Speaking of, your spooky threads have sparked some awesome discusions on imm-only.

Volgathras (Admin):

Next. Professor.

f0xx:

wait!

f0xx:

my turn

The Professor:

still just standing on the sidelines.

Volgathras (Admin):

Oh, I missed f0xx? I thought oyu were after magic..

Volgathras (Admin):

Whatever, go for it.

f0xx:

OK then I ask now:

Volgathras (Admin):

Yup yup!

f0xx:

Is that going to be the final version of feign?

Anume (Admin):

I think we need some logs to see how it works now, but we got very little there

Morlhach (Admin):

I've been meaning to buff it a little bit more. No it's not the final version.

Anume (Admin):

it was buggy at first, and that bug has been removed.

Morlhach (Admin):

haven't got to it yet.

f0xx:

It still appears to be slightly buggy and a bit useless ;p

Anume (Admin):

as with most new stuff, if you want it changed, post logs and argue in a nice matter and it may well happen.

Anume (Admin):

then post about it

f0xx:

11:08pmVery well.

Trick:

The problem with that is time.

f0xx:

agreed trick

Trick:

I don't want to roll a dwarf warrior to show that it is lacking and spend the time.

Trick:

When I can make an ogre and do FAR better.

f0xx:

Noone is arguing that it is lackign compared to ogres though

Volgathras (Admin):

Magick, your turn

Trick:

The numbers prove it.

Magick:

Are there any plans for L51's to be integrated into the regular staff or will they continue to be a no-man's land between Imms and players?

Volgathras (Admin):

Hero classes have been phased only, mostly because we don't have the pbase to support them.

Anume (Admin):

we usually do not make any heros any more, as the player numbers are too low to take people out of pk

Volgathras (Admin):

They remove a player from the game, in essence, and that's not beneficial to anyone.

Morlhach (Admin):

I was a Hero for a little while.

Volgathras (Admin):

You're still my hero, Morl.

Morlhach (Admin):

A hidden hero, anyway :P

Morlhach (Admin):

<3

Volgathras (Admin):

Follow up?

Magick:

Nope.

Volgathras (Admin):

11:20pmWe're at Trick

Anume (Admin):

kk

Trick:

I got nothing.

Volgathras (Admin):

Mya -> Profssor -> F0xx -> Magic -> Trick -> Chesta I believe.

f0xx:

the chat list is messy and keeps rearranging itself ;p

Volgathras (Admin):

K, hesta?

Chesta6384:

ummmm

Volgathras (Admin):

Good quetion.

Chesta6384:

oh

Magick:

lol

Chesta6384:

i do have one

Chesta6384:

blademasters

Volgathras (Admin):

That ould have been funnier if MY FAT FINGERS DIDN'T RUIN IT.

Chesta6384:

i've seen their weapon procs

Volgathras (Admin):

fire away.

Chesta6384:

has theere been any discussion on fixing that? I mean their weapons proc more than their attacks sometimes.

f0xx:

procs go off twice sometimes

f0xx:

that's about it.

mya:

The death of a thousand cuts.

f0xx:

Also, some of the current BLMs have been using a bug that has not been fixed yet

Volgathras (Admin):

We've seen the prayer posts and are looking in to it. Morl, anything to add?

Chesta6384:

try fighting raemus and athemis, they go off alot.

f0xx:

I have been fighting them

f0xx:

and died, and defeated them multiple times

Volgathras (Admin):

I am raemus and athemis, that's why they go off a lot.

Chesta6384:

a full screen of procs every round.

f0xx:

and those two ARE using said bug

mya:

I though you played monks.

Morlhach (Admin):

I haven't had a chance to take those weapons away yet.

Volgathras (Admin):

I actually don't have am ort currently :P

f0xx:

That bug is even logged and even posted in the PK logs

Magick:

He prefers monks. Not he's got all the monks and is now spilling over into blademasters.

Chesta6384:

well, at least he fixed the bigger bug

Chesta6384:

like solar plexus lagging indefinately thru prot shield

Volgathras (Admin):

That, I believe, has been dealt with.

Chesta6384:

thats what I said

f0xx:

I am talking about procs from sockets volg

Volgathras (Admin):

K, we're at... Mya.

f0xx:

they stay

f0xx:

even after you remove the socket

Volgathras (Admin):

That bug is specific to certain items if I recall. They need to be fixed individully.

Volgathras (Admin):

As morl said, we'll get them soon.

mya:

So fast? Are you sure it's me again=

f0xx:

just as blood vow removes procs, it also adds

Volgathras (Admin):

Trick, Professor and Magc skipped.

mya:

right.

mya:

Ok adventurers.

Magick:

I wasn't skipped this round, just a quick answer.

mya:

I think adventures, due to their added practices which translate into HP are a necessity.

mya:

Any way to prod players to not go Adventurer first?

f0xx:

that's like 10-20 hp at most

Anume (Admin):

what hinders you to?

Volgathras (Admin):

I'm not sure what you mean. Do you think that playing an adventurer first gives an unfir advantage with trains?

mya:

20 hours spent in adventurer mode are 20 hours they are of your PK range.

Anume (Admin):

if you're really out after the 20 hp or so, go for it

Volgathras (Admin):

Adventurers are actually pretty rare to see...

mya:

I would love to not be forced to go for them.

mya:

but 20 HP is a very good bonus.

Volgathras (Admin):

Mya, perform quests. A lot of quests give trains.

mya:

In the end, an adventurer still has +20 HP.

Volgathras (Admin):

weel, maybe not a lot, but a few of my harder ones.

mya:

I escaped the other day with 1 hp. It's common.

Morlhach (Admin):

So go Adventurer from now on :)

mya:

I do, but I hate it.

Anume (Admin):

so just rank through without training, shrug

Anume (Admin):

will never take you 20 hours

mya:

11:21pmCan't we have like adventurer skills/pracs start at 2% for everyone?

Volgathras (Admin):

Won't that give them more trains?

mya:

No.

f0xx:

Nah she means something else

f0xx:

that would be annoying

mya:

The net HP gain is zero.

f0xx:

and will do more harm than be helfpuf

f0xx:

helpful*

Anume (Admin):

how so, I think she means give dodge at 2 instead of 1 so she doesn't have to put in any pracs but can train it up

mya:

Yes.

f0xx:

Mya, the HP gain is VERY rarely 20, its more like 10-15 pracs you gain in the end.... it's silly to complain about it

Volgathras (Admin):

But pracs can be converted to trains..?

Anume (Admin):

yes, mya wants the same benefit you'd get going adventurer if you train from 2 on

f0xx:

when you convert from adv you keep the prof of the trained skills so you don't have to invest new pracs in them

Volgathras (Admin):

Ohhh, I see, I see.

mya:

Just applied to the skilsl adventurers have.

Anume (Admin):

which will be 1 - 3 (4 doable?) trains

f0xx:

the trains ARE lost

Anume (Admin):

if you convert them, foxx.

Anume (Admin):

1 - 3 trains in saved pracs

f0xx:

you usually keep not more than 10 skills

f0xx:

so it's like 1 train

Anume (Admin):

perhaps 4

f0xx:

4 is quite a stretch...

f0xx:

esp if you 1 prac train

Volgathras (Admin):

honestly, I don't see the benefit worth the cost there. If you're willnig to put in the extra efort for the small gain, then alright... but we'll discuss it among the staff.

Volgathras (Admin):

Professor?

mya:

Thanks.

The Professor:

there was a time when you asked the player base to design individual crests/insignia for each of the cabals. whatever came of that and are there plans to finish it? I think it would be quite nice to have a visual representation that can be drawn from and used IG... as well as something for help files on the website.

Anume (Admin):

I don't think this will work either.

Anume (Admin):

that was still at mya. Prof: I think these were more a forum thing of volgs?

f0xx:

they asked for a motto iirc.

Volgathras (Admin):

Professor. Interesting question. We did that, if I recall, during one of tina's tantrums. We were also, at the time working towards a new website. This was before Morl saved our little world.

Volgathras (Admin):

Motto and insignia.

mya:

Tina?

f0xx:

the hacker

Anume (Admin):

ddoser

mya:

thanks.

Volgathras (Admin):

It was more of a distraction, but if the pbase things that was a good idea we may work towards making those a staple of our cabals and placing them on teh webpage. We need someone with more artistic ability than I, though.

Volgathras (Admin):

I thought it was fun.

The Professor:

me too. :)

f0xx:

the mottos sucked ;p

The Professor:

11:28pmno followup.

Volgathras (Admin):

I can't remember the watcher one, but I thought it was good. One of Palis... whatever happend to him.

Volgathras (Admin):

F0xx, you're up.

f0xx:

Ok then

f0xx:

What do you guys think of Zhokril as a coder, as imm and as player :)

Anume (Admin):

we will not answer this question, sorry.

f0xx:

understandable

Anume (Admin):

uhhh I got my (admin)!

Anume (Admin):

:)

Anume (Admin):

another question instead?

f0xx:

I dont have another one for now.

Volgathras (Admin):

What a weird question.

Volgathras (Admin):

Magick?

Magick:

11:31pmTwo part about unlinked area's. Are there any plans to remove them from the main port if they've been replaced (IE Solace/Paelloran)? For those that have yet to be linked, what's the official stance on items that may or may not be leaked from them?

Anume (Admin):

belt of scrolls

f0xx:

aye

Anume (Admin):

yeah, we've been made aware of this problem

Volgathras (Admin):

Belt is fixed.

Anume (Admin):

I think volg made the guy nosummon for now?

Volgathras (Admin):

Yeah, belt won't be available any longer.

f0xx:

I still got some of them stashed ;p

Volgathras (Admin):

bringon foxxchar - purge foxcharr - dall foxchar death 60 - slay foxchar - reset.

f0xx:

what a nice item it is

Anume (Admin):

if you find anything like this, please post on prayer.

f0xx:

ok then, I will remove them instantly ;p

Volgathras (Admin):

To speak more generally, unlinked areas are under the mandate that, if you appear in one, get out. If you're found loitering you will be punished.

f0xx:

Will the belt of scroll be available at some point though?

Anume (Admin):

err volg, if you purge him as 2. none of this would work ;)

f0xx:

I like the item a lot (although I never used it)

Volgathras (Admin):

Any items discovered in those areas are offlimits. Currently, there are no specifics plans to remvoe them entirey as they may be repurposed later.

Volgathras (Admin):

Anume.. bosslady.. i thought we were on the same page.

f0xx:

haha

Anume (Admin):

and if you dall 60 and then slay you won't need to purge at all :)

Volgathras (Admin):

Magick, followup?

Anume (Admin):

one command less to type in!

Volgathras (Admin):

11:44pmBut I like purging!

Magick:

So drop/sac for those that have such items, what about the first half? Removal of replaced areas?

Volgathras (Admin):

Yes, if you have an item no longer avilble in game destroy it or face my wrath. Which usually involved feather dusters and nippl clamps.

The Professor:

o.O

Volgathras (Admin):

Unlinked areas, as mentioned, are offl imits. If you somehow find yourself there via teleport, for exmaple, then get out.

Magick:

Kinky.

f0xx:

second part of the question volg...

Volgathras (Admin):

I THINK, though, that fixed via code...?

Anume (Admin):

in that case I suggest you do an objfind 11803 some time, lot of them out there

Volgathras (Admin):

Will put on my todo list.

Anume (Admin):

28 belt of scrolls, just checked.

Volgathras (Admin):

Did that answer your question Magick, I wasn't 100% clear.

Volgathras (Admin):

blach, cheaters.

Magick:

I was asking about removal or lack there of from the viewpoint of 'locate item'. You can still see the Pincer staff, for example. Kept for nostalgic reasons or for future re-imp?

Magick:

I'll do mine next I log, Anume.

f0xx:

Eh... the pincer staff is still available for grabs?

Volgathras (Admin):

Magick. Not usually. Items and locations removed are removed permantnly, to have their items and areas replaced later.

Magick:

Probably not as Paelloran wasn't summonable. But you can still locate it,

Foxx.

Volgathras (Admin):

Tere are also semi-abandoned and half-ade areas that never got completely done, moved over with teist copies.

f0xx:

pincer staff is held by crab keeper

f0xx:

which is still linked and fine...

Volgathras (Admin):

Trick ,you're up.

Magick:

Whichever Paelloran's staff was. Picky.

Trick:

11:40pmCan we get list of changes in expected chronological order to give us an idea of what to be excited for? Class/Race only, if so.

Chesta6384:

no

Chesta6384:

next question

f0xx:

lol

Volgathras (Admin):

I'm not comfortable with giving pecifics for that. Primarily, because there's a lot that goes in to it. I know that's a lame resopnse, but I'd rather you call bullshit then get excited and then upset when we don't meet a fictitious deadline.

Trick:

I understand no pecifics, but can we get specifics?

f0xx:

he just said no

Trick:

F0xx. Shut the hell up.

Volgathras (Admin):

I can say we are looking in to a new race, the EARLY EARLY stages of a new class, maybe, a few new areas, class rebalances and herald rework.

Volgathras (Admin):

And army warfare revamp.

Trick:

I was teasing about his spelling typo.

Volgathras (Admin):

but WHEN, I can't tell you.

f0xx:

figured out, too late tho

Morlhach (Admin):

There's only one of me.. and there's a lot to argue about on the IMM thread

Volgathras (Admin):

No lie.

Volgathras (Admin):

And Trick, I will mispell your ass in to DS.

Morlhach (Admin):

wish I had some amateur coders.

Volgathras (Admin):

Any followup?

Trick:

No follow ups.

Anume (Admin):

if things work out, it may well get to be a MAJOR change.

Volgathras (Admin):

chesta!

f0xx:

dwarf warriors, make them better.

Chesta6384:

I have an issue with cabal trains.

f0xx:

;)

Chesta6384:

as it is now, someone can not put trains in certain stats and use cabal points to train them

Chesta6384:

11:45pmthus, using those trains for HP

Chesta6384:

with certain races/classes this can add up to over 100 extra hp

Anume (Admin):

that's always been that way

mya:

You to can do that now, with RP points.

Chesta6384:

hmm

Chesta6384:

i know its always been that way

Chesta6384:

but for newer players that don't know how to do it, it gives vets a bigger edge

mya:

Journeyman.

Chesta6384:

by doing it, I mean saving trains, getting into a cabal, questing for CPs and training up

Chesta6384:

journeyman isn't perm.

f0xx:

They will learn then, as we all have.

Chesta6384:

I just feel bad raping them is all

Anume (Admin):

I think the cabal trains are necessary for when your con falls due to deaths

f0xx:

New players will be raped regardless that chesta...

f0xx:

esp by you lol

Anume (Admin):

not sure how we could limit it to be used only for this though

Magick:

They certainly are the most likely to lose con fast.

Volgathras (Admin):

Chesta, I myself have been looking in to a general rebalance of gaming concepts we use, trying to bring things in line. Part of that if readjustments that'll make game knowledge less of a game-breaker, though it isn't a HUGE difference now.

mya:

Please don't. It would completly upset all balance.

Volgathras (Admin):

Remeber that a newb vers a vet is at a disadvantage due to skill level mostly, not primarily through game mechanics.

Volgathras (Admin):

But that said, That - along with things like consumables, are on my nerf bat list.

Chesta6384:

make cabal trains for CON only

f0xx:

I'm against that.

Anume (Admin):

foxx, why?

f0xx:

and your arguing makes no sense

f0xx:

just cause you have a char that doesn't do it, don't force other not to do it.

f0xx:

thats basically mya wanting to change adventurers a few minutes ago

Anume (Admin):

11:49pmhe says that he doesn't want to have a drow running around with a base of 100 hp more than he'd usually have

f0xx:

then he knows what to do Anume.

f0xx:

don't spend trains when you are ranking up

Trick:

Its power gaming.

Trick:

Just like adventurer THEN pick your class.

f0xx:

I'm a power gamer

f0xx:

so is he

Trick:

Im not saying its a bad thing, just saying thats what it is

mya:

I didn't want to change adventurers. I wished the skills adventurers have to be avaiable to other classes at 2% insted of 1%, so to make going adventurer to veteran players irrelevant.

f0xx:

we all are power gamers, those who dont admit it are liers

Morlhach (Admin):

liars

Morlhach (Admin):

**

Volgathras (Admin):

Back on topic. We're at Mya.

Chesta6384:

i actually don't use the cabal trains for extra hp

mya:

Jsut to say that change will favor Ogres and giants over elves...

Chesta6384:

just know it can be done

f0xx:

I hate it when someone tries to change mechanics to suit HIS playstyle.

f0xx:

/rant

f0xx:

Exactly what I said chesta

mya:

Ok, question. Will we be hainvg Hallowen MadnesS?

Volgathras (Admin):

I dunno...?

f0xx:

good one mya

Magick:

Damn. That was my next.

Volgathras (Admin):

Bette hury and pick another then.

mya:

Now you have to think harder Magick.

Volgathras (Admin):

Bosslady, Morl?

Magick:

Nah. I'd rather not think.

Volgathras (Admin):

I don't see why not..

Anume (Admin):

we could make a poll this year

Volgathras (Admin):

Though last time I got called a teacher for slaying a mort and stealing the kreyis.

Volgathras (Admin):

teacher, lol, cheater*

Magick:

AFK/pass my next question.

mya:

Can I give the idea to pospone it 1 week. So we can enjoy Hallowen, and alert players to the date of the madness.

mya:

Since we have some players back.

Volgathras (Admin):

We'll poll it, I think that's a good idea.

Anume (Admin):

in halloween madness we ALL cheat, else you wouldnt have someone with 3k hp running around and gechos of get em!

Chesta6384:

lol

mya:

Next.

f0xx:

madness is made to be cheated

The Professor:

thanks Volg, Anume & Morl. this has been fun, informative and appreciated. hopefully I'll be able to check a log of anything I miss, but I have to leave. a good day to all!

f0xx:

:)

Volgathras (Admin):

See ya. Who are we at, Foxx?

Anume (Admin):

byebye, prof

Morlhach (Admin):

Take care!

f0xx:

ok my turn

f0xx:

On tattoos

f0xx:

11:55pmcan there be 2 tattooed characters of the same religion?

Volgathras (Admin):

Nope.

Anume (Admin):

yes, but we do that very very rarely.

Anume (Admin):

:P

Anume (Admin):

we've had it for a short time.

Volgathras (Admin):

thanks lady. now i'm a liar

f0xx:

soooo....?

f0xx:

yes or no?

Volgathras (Admin)

I'VE never seen it

Morlhach (Admin):

rofl

Anume (Admin):

usually no, but there may be an exception.

Morlhach (Admin):

Anume > Volgathras > Morl

Volgathras (Admin):

But anything is possible.

Morlhach (Admin):

unfortunately.

Anume (Admin):

so yes, but not usually.

Anume (Admin):

same thing hah

Volgathras (Admin):

Followup?

f0xx:

yes

f0xx:

Could we parhaps make the "requirements" for tattooing a bit more clear?

f0xx:

do we apply for it?

f0xx:

the normal case of it I mean

Anume (Admin):

you can but you do not have to.

Anume (Admin):

all it will do if you apply is make us more aware you want one

Volgathras (Admin):

You can. It isn't exactly the same as, say, asking for a promo.

Anume (Admin):

you will not get an immediate reaction, usually.

Volgathras (Admin):

The basic requirement is' do you exemplify your religion'?

Anume (Admin):

tattoo = you encompass all your religion stands for

Anume (Admin):

and even then, you have to rp your arse off or take a major part in a plot

f0xx:

aye, I know that already

f0xx:

very well, ty

f0xx:

no follow up

Volgathras (Admin):

But that's the git. We look at your religion, and if we feel you ARE that religion, you get a tattoo.

Anume (Admin):

we sometimes hand them out as rewards after a plot is concluded

Volgathras (Admin):

gist*

Volgathras (Admin):

Trick, it's you.

Trick:

11:58pmNo question right now

Volgathras (Admin):

gist*

Volgathras (Admin):

Trick, it's you.

Trick:

No question right now

Volgathras (Admin):

K. Just a heads up, I got administration stuff to do with Morl and Anume here soon, so we're on limited time. Think quick.

Volgathras (Admin):

Chesta?

Morlhach (Admin):

Not gonna get much done with me - I'm at work for at least 2 more hours.

Morlhach (Admin):

I'll try though

Volgathras (Admin):

Quick you bastard. The game takes preceddence.

Volgathras (Admin):

Quit*

Chesta6384:

lol

Morlhach (Admin):

Pay my salary and I will

Volgathras (Admin):

I... I just shouldn't type. My spelling/grammar is an embarrassment.

Anume (Admin):

I had a cat called Morle once.

Anume (Admin):

means little black cat...

Chesta6384:

lets see

Volgathras (Admin):

THAT'S what it was, black cat. See, I told you Morl.

Chesta6384:

i don't have anything really

Volgathras (Admin):

K, moving on \. Mya?

Chesta6384:

i'm only here by accident

Volgathras (Admin):

Lucky you!

mya:

What do you think is the worst PK imbalance in the game atm.

Morlhach (Admin):

me playing a mort.

Morlhach (Admin):

:-/

Volgathras (Admin):

yuk yuk

Volgathras (Admin):

This on's not for me. On test I kill everything.

Anume (Admin):

you use slay or purge.

Volgathras (Admin):

So?

Anume (Admin):

If we'd think there was a huge pk imbalance we'd do something abotu it

Anume (Admin):

so...

mya:

none?

Volgathras (Admin):

Perfection isn't somthing we can claim, but we CAN say that we're paying attention. I something is out of wack, we look at it, and fix what is necesary.

Anume (Admin):

nothing huge anyway. We're constantly balancing and toning a little.

Magick:

I'm back. But I still don't have any questions.

Volgathras (Admin):

I.E. blademaster changes.

Volgathras (Admin):

Morl, by the by, is that added to th change log?

Morlhach (Admin):

We changed blademasters?!

Morlhach (Admin):

WHAT?!

Volgathras (Admin):

!!

Anume (Admin):

the fix to stun working through prot shield and not being affected by long time lag prot?

Morlhach (Admin):

>.>

Magick:

Heh.

mya:

Also, can you please be more frequent with the change log. I died to other day to a change.

Morlhach (Admin):

It's not on the change log - but is (will) be on hotfixes when I have a chance.

Morlhach (Admin):

What change mya?

mya:

Can't say.

Morlhach (Admin):

PM me.

mya:

I though something worked X, but worked Y.

Anume (Admin):

reminder to the three of us and a little spoiler to all else, we still need to discuss / finalize LI change.

Volgathras (Admin):

Added that, but yes we do.

Volgathras (Admin):

I like knowing stuff other people don't. It's fun.

Volgathras (Admin):

Who ar ewe on?

Anume (Admin):

wouldn't help you one tad as mort though ;)

Volgathras (Admin):

Trick i think.

Trick:

Pass.

Volgathras (Admin):

Hey, just cuase I struggle against plasm beasts doesn't men I can't dominate.

Anume (Admin):

12:08am 19th OctI remember when you got immed and told everyone to get standards they were not at war with ;)

mya:

LI ?

Anume (Admin):

Life insurance

Magick:

Life ... damn.

Anume (Admin):

who's after trick?

mya:

Never used.

Volgathras (Admin):

Chesta after trick.

Trick:

Question

Trick:

Can we get the font/background changed on the personal chats from white on white?

Volgathras (Admin):

Hey boss, looking at my recent ideas, i was just hinting at where thegame SHOULD go.

Volgathras (Admin):

I was WAY before my time.

Morlhach (Admin):

change your theme.

Anume (Admin):

heh, point to you

Morlhach (Admin):

I've never had that problem. weirdos.

f0xx:

I dont want to change my theme...

Anume (Admin):

we'll see how far we go in that direction though

Trick:

In the general chat, its white with black background

f0xx:

white on white makes no sense ;p

Trick:

in personal chats its white on white

Anume (Admin):

white on white only unless you enlarge

Volgathras (Admin):

Racists.

Anume (Admin):

yeah general for me too

Anume (Admin):

enlarge the window that fixes it and makes it black on white

Anume (Admin):

and I think this sucks too btw ;(

Anume (Admin):

and I whined about it a couple of times already

Volgathras (Admin):

Anume's a huge whiner. you guys don't have to deal with it.

Morlhach (Admin):

oh god yes.

Morlhach (Admin):

:P

Anume (Admin):

you don't have to deal with sticky small kids.

Trick:

Mmk.

Anume (Admin):

next!!

Volgathras (Admin):

I'm a TEACHER! OF COURSE I deal with sticky msall kids!

Volgathras (Admin):

Chesta, you're up.

Anume (Admin):

once they are in school, they're not half as sticky any more.

Volgathras (Admin):

I whole-heartedly disagree.

Volgathras (Admin):

Ohhh I got stories.

Anume (Admin):

get kids.

Anume (Admin):

12:11am 19th Octanyway!

Anume (Admin):

chesta?

Anume (Admin):

chesta?

Volgathras (Admin):

44 pages of this so far, dauymn.

Anume (Admin):

oh he's gone

Anume (Admin):

who#s next?

Volgathras (Admin):

Oh. Ok! last roung, people.

Volgathras (Admin):

Mya.

mya:

F00x I think.

Volgathras (Admin):

Mya is number one.

mya:

lol

Morlhach (Admin):

quote material

Anume (Admin):

don't give em ideas.

Magick:

/facepalm

Volgathras (Admin):

That better be someone's signture tomorrow.

mya:

What is the name of the class in the works?

mya:

Can you guys tell that?

Volgathras (Admin):

Em.

Volgathras (Admin):

It's just so EARLY.

Trick:

GOOD question.

Anume (Admin):

we're working on a new questrace/class apart from that I am not aware of a class?

Volgathras (Admin):

I thought they were sort of both, a qclass/race..

Anume (Admin):

unless you mean...

Magick:

It's my sig now.

mya:

arg....

Volgathras (Admin):

the race is different.

Anume (Admin):

well, I guess, we got some threads about class too but that is not priority.

Anume (Admin):

so that will take time

Volgathras (Admin):

Nah, it's on the list but super early in development.

Volgathras:

So expect it sometimes in 2050.

Magick:

lol

mya:

I'm going to take note of that deadline.

Anume (Admin):

after necro / herald / army / cabal policy changes, anyway.

f0xx:

sounds reasonable ETA

f0xx:

;)

Volgathras (Admin):

Who was asking bout priority? there ya go.

mya:

Is bards after the new class?

Anume (Admin):

I think before

Anume (Admin):

we got a concept there already

Anume (Admin):

but I am not the coder.

Anume (Admin):

so ask morl ;)

Volgathras (Admin):

Bards... ugh.. we're working on it, but I'M not happy with the current iteration. It needs more polish.

mya:

I don't think Morl likes me.

Volgathras (Admin):

As morl said, we argue.

f0xx:

Noone likes you Mya.

f0xx:

:)

Volgathras (Admin):

I like Mya. She's number one!

mya:

lol

Anume (Admin):

if we follow volg's herald concept it will change not just herald but everything.

f0xx:

New sig then.

Volgathras (Admin):

F0xx is number five.

Anume (Admin):

so that makes things a bit difficult.

Volgathras (Admin):

It would, but damn that change would be AWESOME

Anume (Admin):

yeah let's hope we get that in.

mya:

Can you hint the change?

Volgathras (Admin):

No. Hah!

Anume (Admin):

I think we should connect it to cabal wf and armies

f0xx:

she's like a little kid lol

mya:

*mutter*

Anume (Admin):

if we do that, it will be one MAJOR change

f0xx:

charming

Volgathras (Admin):

All of that should somehow be interconnected, yeah.

Volgathras (Admin):

But how, ugh.

mya:

FL 4.0 ?

Anume (Admin):

nah no pfile purging will be required

Volgathras (Admin):

Nah, not a game-destruction sort of change, but definitly big.

Morlhach (Admin):

4.0 = pwipe

Anume (Admin):

but I think it will take some getting used to the new stuff

mya:

I thought there was noi pwipe from 2 to 3.

Magick:

There wasn't.

mya:

Good, something new to argue about.

Anume (Admin):

the base problem in 2.0 was that everyone traded with everyone and avoided wars

Volgathras (Admin):

Ok, f0xx, last go for you.

f0xx:

ehm

f0xx:

ehm

f0xx:

Who do you guys thing is the stronger PKer of your IMM team

Volgathras (Admin):

Anume and Mor, for serious.

Volgathras (Admin):

And them me.

Volgathras (Admin):

Morl is only better than me because he knows the code.

Anume (Admin):

I think morl and I tie.

Anume (Admin):

we kill each other on our morts

Volgathras (Admin):

Vae is no joke.

Anume (Admin):

vae is getting decent

Anume (Admin):

but morl will still get em 9 out of 10 times

Anume (Admin):

or perhaps 8

Volgathras (Admin):

That's cuz he's an idealist. Morl is an opportunist.

f0xx:

ok no follow up

f0xx:

ty

Volgathras (Admin):

Magick, llast for oyu.

Morlhach (Admin):

10/10.. geez.

Morlhach (Admin):

he's never killed me

Magick:

I answered my own, so I forfeit my final question.

Volgathras (Admin):

Fer realsies?

Anume (Admin):

hshh, we need to encourage people here

Magick:

Well, technically you answered it, months ago. So yes. For realsies.

Anume (Admin):

I'd say vae rps better n you though ;)

Anume (Admin):

as mort anyway.

Anume (Admin):

but volg got the nr 1 there, without question.

Anume (Admin):

best rper on staff.

Morlhach (Admin):

12:23am 19th Octouch....

Anume (Admin):

:P

Anume (Admin):

anyone else?

Volgathras (Admin):

Nah, disagree there. Anume's got me beat.

Anume (Admin):

not even close.

Magick:

I think that the sum is greater than its parts. But maybe that's just me.

Anume (Admin):

I'd say I tie with morl here again

Volgathras (Admin):

If we're set then, we're done with our 2nd AMA! Thanks for participating!

Morlhach (Admin):

I think we should incorporate LV51 into the mix and give it as a reward - each class with a new spell.

mya:

Thanks.

Morlhach (Admin):

or skill.

Volgathras (Admin):

not a bad idea, morl.

Anume (Admin):

@morl, can you set up a chat for volg, you n me?

Morlhach (Admin):

yep

Morlhach (Admin):

cya suckers :D

Volgathras (Admin):

We're done here! tanks guys, see ya later!

Anume (Admin):

we need to do some concept finalizing

Morlhach (Admin):

12:25am 19th Octnah just kidding, thanks for coming.

not sure how serious Morl was about this suggestion, but I like it. a shame the pbase isn't big enough for the Hero concept. :(

Anume (Admin): if we follow volg's herald concept it will change not just herald but everything.

should I feel, in equal parts, scared and excited? o.O I'm curious nonetheless. :D

[thanks for the AMA session, Staff!]
