This right here is your problem. You are decked to the teeth in AC.

He is saving the spell and wearing bad AC. You on other hand didn't save and have very good AC.

My advice is to take t storm out of your fights and don't sit in combat for long while dirted. Run around blind and attrition a bit.

I have great tactics for killing Rangers - I held my own against Corinkorth and a couple of others of note (please note holding my own does not mean killing - It means dying more slowly)

Lack of preparation and tactics lost this fight for the druid.  Your buff was about to fall, you should have been on top of that.  No flight, no dirt kicking, lack of fleeing/healing, lack of missile shield, no cabal pet, etc.  You used hurricane as the tick was ending - so that was also a wasted two rounds. 

 

On the other foot, with all those mistakes, you brought her to 50% health so I'd say your damage output is just fine.  You need more time behind the wheel and I think you'll be able to adapt better.

Mmmmm Beer is right - Prep is the big one. 

 

Don't use thunderstorm against classes that can use it on you - more then likely they will have lower AC then you do as a druid. 

 

You need to make sure you are using: 

 

Armor, shield, flesh armor, stone skin - missile shield if you need. 

 

FLIGHT ffs

 

You need to make sure you have a large stock of: 

 

White potions, Green potions, brown/orange/yellow potions. 

 

Tactics: 

 

Either you need to go all out offence - green potion + dual weapons (axe and spear, spear and spear or mace and spear). 

 

Or all out defence - shield and druid staff - play the attrition game. You have unlimited mana resources with heal mana and clever sleeping - use lightning bolts or hurricanes or whatever. 

 

Also remember: You have two healing skills - restoration and herb - use herb early as it recharges quicker - save restoration for further into the flight to get you to the next herb. 

 

Trap of silvanus - learn exactly what it does, think about how that will help in certain situations (think about him chasing you). 

 

 

Commands: 

 

I almost always have this sort of strategy when using my druid skills - depending on where I am fighting, what I am fighting and if its offensive or attrition tactics I am using: 

 

1. Thunderclap to open (if it lands good).  - 1 round lag

2. Entangle - 2 round lags

 

Now either: 

 

If you are blind - dirt back

If you aren't blind - thunderclap again then dirt

 

By this stage you are ready to flee and herb. Re-engage with thunderclap if it hasn't landed or murder if it has (non-counter class). 

 

If you're fighting a beast  class perhaps attack a weaker to dirt or kill - or just focus on that baddy.

 

NB: There is nothing wrong with using hurricane or thunderstorm to finish  a beast or to do some high damage to a sucker - do it on your terms when he lags himself out  trying to redirt you - there are some clever areas around where you can move from Sky to inside very easily. 

 

 

Druid gate is your friend. Its an easy out and makes you impossible to chase because its a safe teleportation skill.
