After actually sitting down and reading about it a bit more, I'm finding it intriguing. INFJs indeed share a very unique combination of traits: though soft-spoken, they have very strong opinions and will fight tirelessly for an idea they believe in. They are decisive and strong-willed, but will rarely use that energy for personal gain – INFJs will act with creativity, imagination, conviction and sensitivity not to create advantage, but to create balance. Egalitarianism and karma are very attractive ideas to INFJs, and they tend to believe that nothing would help the world so much as using love and compassion to soften the hearts of tyrants. I retake the test every four years to see if anything changes. My understanding of personality types from research in developmental psychology is this: People do not change at their core. They learn to adapt and change how they represent themselves to the world and this causes what appears to be change in people, a shift on the Personality Spectrum if you will. Therefore, someone can be an INTJ, yet represent themselves as ENTJ or INFJ. In most cases of "change" the shift occurs only in one or two of the letters (with each spot only being able to be occupied by one of two letters in the traditional typology created by Jung). Iyorvin Posted February 1, 2015 Report Share Posted February 1, 2015 Haha. I actually had to do an entire workshop on these tests last fall. Briggs-Meyer as well as the Personality Dimensions. I'm an INFJ as well Anume, or super GOLD if you take the personality dimensions. I related more with the dimensions tests because out of the possible 40 marks for gold I got a full 40. Which, given Gold's ordered and structured nature, might mean I'm just obsessive compulsive? I too found these interested, but in the workshop most of the class was 19-23 year olds and still had that classic highschool disinterested attitude about them. I had to laugh though, apparently if you are Orange, or a certain combination of Briggs-Meyer, you can very afraid of closed doors. This girl in the class had to be able to see the door in the very least. If it was closed it would cause panic and she could not sit with her back to the door. And it played out so strange, because she was one of the only "Orange's", and the instructor just immediately looked at her and was like, "you're afraid of doors, aren't you".
