It's certainly been a long, long, long ride as Sylf.  Sylf has by far been my longest lived character, and undoubtedly my most influential.  I want to start this post by thanking the Immortal staff for making this the most enjoyable character I've EVER played, hands down.  You guys all put in so much hard work to help me make Sylf what he ultimately became.  All of your efforts, both in game and out never went unnoticed, and I sincerely appreciate all of your efforts.  I hope that time allows me to come back as often as I was able while Sylf was more active.  Aside from not having the time to contribute to the game, my reasons for retiring will remain unspoken.  I'd rather not address them on this post, as I'd like this to celebrate the life of the character I tried so hard to make an important part of the world we all share.  Please, try your best to be civil and keep your negative thoughts to yourselves.

I suppose I have a few shoutouts to give, so I'll start with:

Dilorry Anah/Starkholm : My goodness, you are absolutely amazing.  Everything about your character is simply awesome to me.  We got wrapped up in so many RP sessions that lingered WAY too late.  You left such an impression on me, and were able to teach me how to expand my RP potential exponentially.  I can't thank you enough for the time we shared together in game this last year and a half.  You are a an endless font for all things RP.

Ilthrias Corimak : You were my BROTHER man.  When your will was delivered by Naruthiron in game, I actually shed a tear.  When you told me you were afraid the night before you condied...that was a very touching moment.  The two of us were always up to something, and I missed you for a very, very long time.  Sylf isn't dead yet, but when the time comes, I hope that we can share a bottle of that elvish wine in heaven man.  You were a true inspiration to me.

Rilithin Corimak : I've already posted on your behalf in your deletion thread, but damn man...you left too soon, and remained a large part of who Sylf was for the next year even.

Achsky Ipp : You and I knew each other for a VERY long time.  From commanding armies to running all over Aabahran in search of gear, we did it all.  It wouldn't have been the same without you, buddy.  Besides Dilorry and Ilthrias, you were absolutely my oldest friend.  You will surely be missed, and I hope that you can carry on the torch, Guard Captain.

Urist : I never got to delve as deeply as I would have liked into your character, but know that you were always my right hand man as far as Knight concerns went.  I knew you well enough to know that I could trust you entirely, and I'm glad that you stuck around as long as you did, through the good and bad.  I hope to see you continue the legacy that is Urist and really hope you get your beard back :(.

Garacci Imbrusse : You and I had a VERY interesting love/hate relationship.  Mostly hate, but...we damn well respected one another.  You always tested my wit and patience, and I know for a fact I tested yours on more than one occasion.  I grew to miss our talks, and you will ALWAYS be what a Rat King SHOULD be in my eyes.

Seeing as how I played Sylf for a year and a half or more, I will surely miss people and don't want them to feel left out.  Also, there are others I don't have nice things to say about, so I figure it is best to leave those out.  Very rare were my negative interactions while I played Sylf.  Chances are, if you interacted with Sylf, I was thoroughly enjoying the time we spent together, whether it have been peaceful or downright savage.

Thank you all for being there, whether we loved or hated each other.  Sylf is not completely gone yet, but my time with him has surely slowed down to a trickle.  I have cabal left and opened the way for another to take up the mantle of Regent.

Sylf was/is a delight, pure and simple. I look forward to seeing him flit about (on random days you can play him) throughout his retirement till he truly is no more. It will certainly give us players something to look forward to and our characters besides. With Sylf you achieved the heights every player could only hope to do, in both rp & pk you are/were a shining example of what it takes to be Hall of Fame worthy. Well done.

Sylf will be missed. Our playerbase and community needs players like you, so while you're unable to play your presence will most certainly be missed. I hope you have an expeditious return!

PS

I've never had a mage break 900 hp, you must teach me the secret of this voodoo magic! :P

Mage can't compete without at least 1100 hp! :)

A Knight mage has an easier time getting high HP cuz of that nice cabal item which, aside from the Nimbus, I believe is the only "body armor" with significant +HP.

But I digress - congrats on an extremely well-played character.  Pretty sure I never got a kill on you with Sonnael, or my current, and it was fun the few times we'd sync up while I was actively playing Othrynus.  I wish I had the dedication and attention-span some of you have when it comes to FL characters.

Truly a great character. My interactions with Sylf were always enjoyable. We had some great bouts and more than our fair share of disagreements. It was never certain how things were going to go between our chars, either on the PK field or off. Coming from opposing sides, we often didn't agree on...well..much of anything I suppose, but we certainly had some good discussions about it. And early on, the char had my respect, and even harder, the respect of my character.

Props, man. And enjoy real life, even the sucky parts. :D

Man, never thought I'd read a Sylf thread on a random pop in.  Great char, in terms of RP and PK, you should know how I felt going up against you in every fight, hopefully those feelings were mutual ;)

Great times man, hope your around when I decide to come back and fool around again.
