dewaholic
Hah. Im getting rusty. I log in thinking its going to be good to get back and feel like a n00b again. Didnt know where things were in my inventory, made foolish mistakes in combat, man it was rough. Since last Monday (When the north east had the big storm) we have had three days that it didnt snow. My ISP cant figure out whats wrong with my internet so I have been battling this for about a month and a half now and can only log in from work. Thankfully I do seven days on and seven days off so I can be on for the next six days but then who knows. I may be another seven away. Especially since its once again snowing and supposed to snow again on saterday. Im goning to stop ranting now. This is making me super frustrated at the snow. Magick
Didnt know where things were in my inventory... This little command will be your friend, too. Multiple applications. You could put your most common items at the top. Put the 4 rares you don't want to use at the top (one of the main reasons for the command, I believe). Put the longest name on top and the shortest on bottom or vice versa. Endless uses and tons of fun. SORT Syntax: sort <object> SORT allows you to move an object in your inventory to the top, even if youcouldn't normally with the GIVE command. disgai
when it comes to internet, Modems are much more finnicky than televisions. So while you may be able to get a tv signal, it may not be good enough for your modem. I live in Southeast PA and when its snowed or rained really hard if you have ANY coax splitters OUTSIDE the house they can go bad and weaken the signal just enough that its not working. They had to run a seperate cable line directly from the box to the modem with no splitters or anything in between. This was back when comcast solved problems for FREE, good luck nowadays. Though they should be willing to fix stuff if youre not getting a signal if they want your continued service. Although with the monopolies being what they are you have what, two choices? Comcast or Fios?
dewaholic
Time Warner Cable. The problem is less that it cant be fixed and more of the weather. It was supposed to be fixed but the tech couldnt figure it out and was going to come back and then BANG hell month. Over the last month we have had almost nine feet of snow. No, Im not talking drifting. Im talking 106 inches of actual snowfall. The snowbanks are well over my head and its becoming a real problem for the entire town. Espcially being as we only have about 1800 people here to pay the bills. When this melts, I will probably be canoeing to work. Snow removal budget was reached about two weeks ago and we cant get federal emergency aid because the laws dictate only single storm not total acrual. Worst part is we are supposed to get another 3-6 inches tonight and then more on monday... Snowmageddon sucks...
disgai
Damn man, my moms BFF lives in newhampshire and theyve gotten ridiculous snow. It's plowed up to the bottom of stop signs. We have a joke in our house where we say, "You would never make it in newhampshire" (long story). But to hell with all that snow, you should def move hehe.
