Ellwyn
It feels like im 'paralyzed' permenantly and makes it very difficult to run, chase, or execute commands. I've heard other players having similar experiences randomly as well. On a DSL connection with absolutely no reason for lag. Started just before a fight and ended shortly after it. At first I suspected the MUD itself, however my opponent and other people on at the time were completely unaffected. Always suspected it happens when immortals are spying. Anyone have any any insight as to what might cause this?
Unknown Criminal
Happens to me all the time and usually bang at the beginning of a PK, no idea why but restarting my zmud client, logging back on and typing fleeusually clears it right up, lol UC

English lad
What you are describing sounds like Packet Loss - so probably your ISP / Routing infrastructure near the Server.

Exactly.open CMD.type ping -t google.com watch if there is packet loss. Most of the time, our problems come from the ISP. I recently had some very big problems, after a week of back and forth arguments, they came and changed the cable that connects their box to my PC and the problems stopped. In the mean time they tried to convince me to by a new LAN card and router.
English lad
Ping isn't bad - but I wouldn't use Google - as its Cached and mirrored all over the shop. I'm old school - so I use www.bbc.co.uk - like we were taught to do in 2000 But basically use something that is going to be consistently up - and that is unlikely to have problems on their end that will affect your test. If you want to track down packet loss and where it is occurring you are better off running a tracert to FL's IP directly - but I'm at work and don't have time to write up a how that works - google it - its not that hard to find where a Route is bugging out if you are having Packet Loss.
