Sandbox
Due to an unfortunate series of events, my RP for this character won't flesh out the way I anticipated. I think I will stick to evolving my characters after rolling as opposed to creating a backstory that revolves around a successful app approval. This particular character was driven by his research which could never really be fully explored through RP thanks to some oversights and naivety on my part. Thanks to everyone who RP'd and PK'd with me. Still trying to get my feet wet again, really enjoyed the character, but wasn't sure where to take it from here. I told myself that if the RP part of the character didn't work out that i'd let it go, so I am.
Implementor Anume Posted March 16, 2015 Implementor Report Share Posted March 16, 2015 Rp is something that develops. Let it develop naturally and roll with the punches, you'll get some surprising and very fun results.
Sandbox
I enjoyed the bard changes a lot, other than the instrument creation process. I found it very tedious and it usually led to me sitting around for hours creating instruments and taking a death at less than 200 mana. Made playing the character more of a chore than enjoyable, but that's the same for all training I suppose. The gathering seemed fine despite having a small heart attack every time I had to wait to equip my weapon again. The material rarity felt right. I really liked that particular path, haven't tried the others. Uppercut feels great now, tarot feels kinda wasted with the new RP rewards, but overall I really like the class. Dale
I really enjoyed that char's RP, you should have stuck with it. I think you would have been just fine with the way you were going, real things take time in FL.

Fool_Hardy
Well, darn.I had plans for you.Next time, remember that we do not often succeed on our first attempt.More important to remember, we can not fail until we place all hope in the misguided theory that their is only one answer. Most Important to remember, we will not fail until we surrender all hope and refuse to try again.Good luck with your future plans. Sandbox
I didn't realize till recently that a denied app doesn't mean you can't apply again later. Facepalm.
Fool_Hardy
LOL, 16 years ago, on a different world, I denied every first q-App. This kept the great PKers from swallowing all the qspots, it forced them to stop and seriously RP. As a player, I find myself disappointed if I am approved immediately. I like to know I have been tested, I enjoy knowing that I earned the spot and it was not gifted unto me.I have had Crusaders where my Crusader APP approval had to follow the later applied for CONquest. If you give up upon a denial, as an IMM I would fear you would delete as soon as things stopped going your way. Meanwhile, some other player had their APP denied because you held a spot they would have died 50 times to keep. JMHOStay Strong Sandbox, and never give up on the RP in your head. Players and Staff will appreciate and reward your efforts.
