So I'm the only one that doesn't think moderates stealing things that can never be returned even if you kill them isn't exactly balanced?

Rolls moderate theif with sole purpose of stealing nonrares.

Speaking by the logic of some in this thread, everyone should have the potential to steal (I mean, they all know material possession, and they all know what's theirs and what's not.. but have the "capability" to do wrong and take what they want..)

So let's just make steal a quest skill.

You complete a quest, you get steal.

Fixed?

Just had an Idea that could solve the steal problem and give other option to bards.

Create a new vogue option for bards. A fifth one.

Move steal and hide into it.

Call it roguish vogue.

Everyone is happy.

Herald because now they can chose defense over offense and they get hide.

Bards keep roguish steal.

Bard PKers happy because regular bards with Powerfull vogue skills can no longer get steal.

No need for sneak. We lived many years as bards without sneak, and Heralds tend to be Elfs anyway.

seriously off topic. Yes.

Many changes have come over the years to the original flavor of the code. And the One looked down and said it was good.

These new bards are the same, a change we needed, regardless of player speculations.

When Blademasters came to be, we saw 30-40% of players online as blademasters. For GOOD reason, you must know the new class in order to know how to defeat it.

Yes bards seem OP now, but once players understand their weaknesses speculations will cease.

Bards will be stomped by a good player who mastered the Bard class and understood them well.

Blademasters should not get Doublesheath its OP, was a common cry. The criers would not say that now.

Back on topic: Submit logs, I want to see where the BOW alone caused the Bard to win before I admit ranged weapons make them OP.

"I want to see where the BOW alone caused the Bard to win"

I have had such a fight, no log, really. No, really.

But I have to admit it was mostly due to my newbieness on that particular class.

I also remember BLM reducing spell level by -25. :P

And post the damned logs.

If you want to avoid blm critical strikes go a race they never pick anatomies in.  Anatomies 20-90 are nearly useless with the exception of one or two.  And that particular critical strike is useless now, completely useless as it nearly does nothing, spell - 5 I think for 2 hours.  For 2 rounds of lag on a skill that isn't going to change the tide of battle pretty much at all.

I'm just done with this topic, too annoying.

Are you kiding Dale?

That critical strike is equivalent to 33% of saves my characters need to reach max saves.

At least was. Since Morlach changed how saves work and now we don't have insight on how things work :girlwah:

Unless you are refering to using it on warrior. :you:

"If you want to avoid blm critical strikes go a race they never pick anatomies in."

I wish it was so easy. Picking the right race is a nightmare, having to chose the lesser evil.

There are 3 races worth picking for mages: elves, avians and gnomes. (I can't play necros.)

You chose elves, you get tooled by Blademasters, since most of them have 120% elf anatomy. :girlcray:

You chose gnomes, and you get tooled by other mages (dispel, silence) and you can't parry decently.

You chose Avians and now you got a Air vulnerability that thankfully the PB doesn't know how to exploit. Unless it's a BLM.

You can also chose Human/H-Elf. They are the same, a bit better AC for H-elf, more 50 HP for the Human, same mana.

But then you get only ~900 mana and lowsy mana regen. Not that they are unplayable, far from it but it's like having a medium sized warrior. :blackeye:

No Mya I'm not kidding and I was referring to using it on invokers and clerics several times and watching no difference in damage or saves.  Don't even say my name until you have tried it for yourself, I'm just tired of reading all your speculation.  Mages don't have it as hard as you think, maybe you are just not good at pk.
