Alcohol Trucks

So I entertained the idea this morning of starting my own business. I could buy a van to serve ice cold beer and mixed drinks out of. I would chase the ice cream truck down the road and catch parents while they are still holding cash. The ice cream truck play "The Entertainer", I could play "Its Five O'clock Somewhere" or "Beer for my Horses". Of course this is a joke, but I figured its all in "Good Humor".

LOL.

Your issue is the legal liability of it all.  One person trips holding their beer from your truck, sprains their ankles, sues you, and now your beer truck is their beer truck.  It is why essentially every bar/restaurant in most place won't allow to take alcohol off premises.  ABC trained servers are potentially liable, criminally and financially, for the customers they serve.   Beyond that... being drunk in public or even possessing an open alcohol container in public is a crime in a lot of places.

Or get a real job.

There is literally nothing unreal about this job or any job similar.  It is actually kind of fucking offensive you belittle people's ideas or how they go about supporting themselves.

wow, just wow.

For all of you young people. Good Humor were the first Ice Cream trucks. AND I am gainfully employed. I guess I should explain the other word you all skipped over too. JOKE - something said or done to provoke laughter or cause amusement, as a witticism, a short and amusing anecdote, or a prankish act - something that is amusing or ridiculous, especially because of being ludicrously inadequate or a sham; a thing, situation, or person laughed at rather than taken seriously; farce

Thought I would make someone smile today, but if it makes people argue its just not funny.

Sensitive much? His idea was to chase an ice cream truck around and sell alcohol. I don't think I was belittling his ideas at all, as I surely don't think that was an actual idea he wanted to carry out as a means of feeding his family.

Calm down.

I have a college degree, operate in the 97th percentile for the entire human race based on IQ, and happen to work in a service industry because I just enjoy doing things for other people.  It is offensive that you call what I and others do for you worthless or not real,  I work hard every week and make less than the federal poverty line by about 30%.  So you can take your holier than thou stance and blow it out your ass.  Don't look down on people unless you are helping them up asshole..

That's nice. I have a college degree too (though my Father would argue that a degree in Psychology doesn't count.) I consider myself one of the sharper knives in the drawer (I'm not sure if I'm in the 97% percentile, but I bet I could take an online test and find out through buzfeed or something.) Believe it or not, I too am in the service industry because I like helping people (people need help.)

Seems that we have a lot in common. Except for the fact that you can't wrap it around your head that the original poster told a joke. I followed with one. And that you are the only one upset here.

Calm down (calm down.)
