Behrens
Today, during your barbeques and your great times, take a moment to recall why today exists. Remember the brave soldiers who won't be coming home to parties, entertainment, and loved ones, because they made the ultimate sacrifice to keep the United States of America free. Take a moment to visit a veteran's cemetary, and say a prayer of thanks for these men who "more than self their country loved, and freedom more than life". (Those of you who aren't Americans, and/or disagree with any of our militaries actions, this isn't the thread to do it in. Soldiers don't pick their battlefields.) Iyorvin
Takes a lot of strength to do what they do, whether you agree with the politicians or not. For that I will always respect them, even as a Canadian. As Behrens said, soldiers do not pick the battlefield.

Guest emp_newb
I tried to join the military, but a dormant heart problem halted my entry to the navy, I take my hats off to all my high school friends who are going through the hell, so we can have freedoms like mudding, or anything else for that matter. Veladestin
Thanks all, means a lot when you're overseas and you hear so many people who try to discourage us to have some support.
Zrothum
Been trying to join the service for three years now. But since I got into trouble when I was 15, it's been a hard road. Turning 21 should have helped alot. Guess we'll be finding out soon.... My father has been in the Marine Corps for 23 years now. He's done one tour in Iraq and served in Desert Storm/Desert Shield. He's graduating defense language arts school this Fall after learning to read, write, and speak Aarabic, then going back to Iraq for 18 months. I salute any and all who have, had, and/or will serve our country.
Chayesh
Thanks all' date=' means a lot when you're overseas and you hear so many people who try to discourage us to have some support.[/quote'] Don't listen to that bull. They might disagree with the politics, but the soldier on the ground doesn't choose his battles, as already said. He chooses to serve. He goes where he's ordered to go. He does everything he can to serve well and come home. His nation BETTER love him or I'll be at the front of the line to set them straight. Keep your head down, Veladestin and come home safe. We'll keep the light on for ya.
Dobson
Keep your head down, Veladestin and come home safe. We'll keep the light on for ya. But only to the garage...you will be covered in dirt and we don't love you THAT much.
