Designated_Driver
So, I know a lot of people here are college students. I am going to be a senior next year, and I am beginning my college search. So I was wondering if anyone goes to college on the east coast, and if so, where. Right now, I'm planning a visit to James Madison, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest. Fiere
Only ever wanted to go to BYU, didn't even apply anywhere else. S' a nice place. What do you want to go into?
KRins
VT is hard to get into...well if you are dumb and apply to engineering like me. Lots of pretty girls down in Orlando at UCF though. Pretty nice campus and a surrounding area. Lots of stuff to do since we are not that far from downtown Orlando.
Designated_Driver
I am unsure what I want to study. I've fairly solidly narrowed it down to Business Management, Music or Biochemistry. As far as application goes, my SAT scores are a far cry above the average for Virginia Tech. I am also taking the ACT next weekend, and having a strong science background should help me with that. Plus, I'm going to be an Eagle Scout. So I can go wherever I want.
KRins
I had a 1390 on the SAT and VT laughed in my face. Captain and 4 year letterman in 3 sports too. Biggest thing that could help become a Hokie is family that went there before you. They love their alumni in Blacksburg.
Fiere
I'm an Eagle Scout, though I don't remember much from it, got it when I was like 13-14. Definitely helps out at times, though.

Well, I can't say I have family or friends down there, but I will be able to get a letter from a state Senator and the Governor with relative ease. Designated_Driver
Off to westpoint you go then. I have tons of respect for every member of our armed forces. But I would rather put sticks in my eyes than join them.
Behrens
Don't apply to Colorado School of Mines. Sure, you'll get the best education west of the Mississippi, small classes, and a lucrative career after graduation, but do you have ANY idea how damn drab it was with only 25% women? So glad I'm done with college.
TheNewGuy
Haha, Behrens. In my class there are zero girls. on my program, like thirty, out of a lot of hundreds of students, maybe a thousend.
Marc
Biochem is tough. Well not so bad once you've learned all the substrates and enzymes, but learning them is tough.
Designated_Driver
We did a lot of that in AP Biology this year, so I guess I have a headstart.
WarriorCleric
University at Buffalo Yeah, it's a state school, but it's a damn good Uni, and at a really reasonable price if you're from Ny. Hell, any school that focuses more attention on any academic department before it's football team is cool with me. WC
Talcian
Come on over to Lexington- University of Kentucky... well, I take that back. Out of the three I've attended I really disliked it compared to the other two. Good college though. Couple others around here that may interest you, depending on your major. Chayesh
I would die to go to William and Mary... Hmm...Law school at the same place that produced Thomas Jefferson, John Marshall, and Henry Clay, among others. But a public university with tuition in excess of $40K with room and board...

(This means, don't introduce her to FL for a long time. They never get it.) There aren't pictures? What's so fun about a game that you can't even see? You have to read? This game sucks! ...and so on.
