English lad
Ok I'm back and once again trying to get seriously into this mud..I've dabbled around the edges for ..almost 2 years I guess, and have always felt that I wanted to get more seriously involved. Dug old my old Pinns, and immiedatley started to feel the same lack of direction and interest that caused my latest time away. In an attempt to re-juvinate my FL appetite I have decided to roll up something just to blow off some steam..something I can roll, rank and train quickly..hopefully not something to Equip intensive, In general Something that I wont mind con-dying at rank 43 in 3 weeks time (worse case scenario ) anyway, basically just taking suggestions. I was thinking something like a Dwarf Berserkser, just for the hell of it, but then all I read is about how Melee's are massivly equip dependant, and how Zerkers need loads and loads of training..so Maybe thats off the cards. Anyway Fire away!
Teralis
I dont know about zerkers being to eq dependant but even if so its allways out there if not in just kill for it. And it really doesnt take that long to train a zerker. I just started a zerker for the first time since 1.0 of AR and an ogre and I am not having any trouble, just get something and have fun with it. Deykari
Gnome Invoker. You will train almost everything whilst you rank, and you are not exactly the most EQ intensive char (although you will learn a lot because 'vokers are invaluable on trips, and can ID too). Your total EXP pen would be 100, so you will rank very fast, especially as a neut who can hunt with both good and evil...and you're an invaluable hunting asset at higher ranks. Just my two pence (the british twist). Dey EDIT: Or take it back to roots. I remember your old Human Cleric, Loric. You used to bully my H-elf pally, Verniere, and your RP was absolutely spot on; could tell you enjoyed that char like I think you did. You could always try another. Don't take training too seriously, just train the absolute essentials, and have fun.
Anithraril
Human invoker (good or evil) with adv perk. Very fast ranking, no exp pen, still leaves you with scroll/wand/stave requirements for flight/protection and gives you a favorable pk range to learn with. Neutrals rank more slowly, which is why I suggest good or evil.
Deykari
The problem is (or so I have gathered; please correct me if I am giving out incorrect information) that a Human Invoker will have a smaller mana base, a problem for 'vokers with their nasty mana charge. EQ can get around that, but a gnome will not have to worry about it as much, and will still hunt fast with a small exp pen, and with a good PK range. Suppose it boils down to a matter of opinion and playstyle really. Dey
zetakappa
Seconding an invoker. Faerie, with adventurer perk to help you out a little. They don't have many physical skills to train, and their spells go up as they level. Dang nevermind I'm rolling that one myself. Berserkers are pretty easy to train, and they're always in demand. I'd make an ogre with the adventurer or athletic perk.
Iyorvin
Con die in 2 or 3 weeks? Human thief.
mya
Human Paladin. Mithril, sword + shield. Polearm for charging. Only need to realy train defences. Only thing you need to keep a look out for is bash/bodyslamning giants, ninjas and thieves.
Fiere
And everything else that's evil. Pallys are a huge target. And I can't say I've ever been that scared of them.

Gomanhor
Duergar Thief (Adventurer perk) that doesn't fight. Don't even practice blackjack/pry/plant, just steal from people while they're still awake. Tons of +luck (and a few +steal) items around. Use the Underdark to get wherever you want quickly. And if you run into trouble, recall to Gal Ranidon. Guaranteed hours of fun (for you)!
mya
Except when you see a Veteran Player that can run to your home city faster than you can spell "Recall Lag!!!".
TheNewGuy
depends where you are also. there is a limit of how fast you can be, spelling "run lag".
Zavero
How about just some type of cleric, considering they can solo a lot, they can ID, I'm sure they prob have staves/scroll/wands (not for sure never played one), evil clerics can pk so easily because of sermon(Or so they do me). Are not EQ reliant in any shape or form. Sanctuary, healing, all this and that. With the ability to pk if you wish to hone your skills.
Fiere
But they're so boring...
Zavero
I am sure they are boring if you know the game in and out. But for a person like me who does not, I am sure I personally would enjoy to make one for no other reason than to explore FL more and learn the EQ, Area's, mobs, etc...
