Zrothum
Nobody beats Yngwie Malmsteen <3 Steve Vai has some trippy stuff Mike somethingorother from Incubus is very talented as well, very very very underrated (i have plenty of live acoustics from him to back this up) Hendrix wasn't a guitar guru compared to some modern players, but, in his own time (not ours), he was a God. J.Twendrist
Tony Iommi is an amazing guitarist... and + the fact he lost the tips of his fingers and still kicks ***.
zetakappa
Edgar Winter. Do yourself a favor and listen to EWG's 'Frankenstein' sometime.
EtsoShex
Aha, 'Frankenstein' is great. Also, Hendrix is (in my humble opinion) a rock god. Malmsteen is good, but not exactly my thing. Vai and Satriani (both of whom you should listen to) are also quite good. Vai's a more technical guitarist, while Satriani is more of an artist. That's just me, though. Deykari
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZTlnca8cm24&search=tommy%20emmanuel Another clip by Emmanuel. He is awesome. (look for the percussive bit about 2:40 or maybe a bit after that. Amazing.) Dey
