Been a good run, unfortunately I don't have the time to play due to current circumstances involving my personal and professional life. Shout out to Knight and the imms for some classy and fun times. Don't have access to a computer to post a score sheet or any of that. IMMS feel free to post for me if you have time.

Till next time guys.

A.

Solid character. Loved seeing you on the who lists and interacting with you whenever I had the chance. Probably one of my favorite characters you've done. I think the goodie side of things is where you shine, bud. Hope to see you back soon!

FYI: any qrace with a last > 100 days gets deleted anyway

So if you shelve one, you have 100 days to come back to them. If you are not, they are gone.

Just to play devil's advocate, the flip side of that is...

If you're waiting for a q-thing and it's full...you have to wait 3 months and change...............I like the way you said it much better lol

This isn't directed at Atticus because his situation is out of his control, but in general I dislike it when people bring old characters back. If you stopped playing a character by your own volition then that character should be deleted or made ineligible to be played. You can level up EXTREMELY quickly now that re-doing a combo is in no way difficult. I specifically mean more famous characters. A character that you rolled to just pass the time while you were bored is fine to return to as it was not influential to any specific plot or RP, but a famous character that everyone knew should not be able to be resurrected so easily. Let's take a fairly well known character like Sylf. I fought this character, RPed with this character, had great experiences with this character. I don't think the player should just be able to bring it back and use the typical response of: " I was on a quest. ", " I was trapped. ", or some variation of it to explain their absence for such a long period of time.(This character has not done this to my knowledge and was just used as an example.)

I feel like the same could be said for RP as well. I think its important to understand when to let a character or RP fade away. Its not a bad thing to let this happen as it opens up avenues for new and creative RP to move to the forefront. This community is probably the most creative group of people I've EVER known and its amazing what can be thought up by all of you. Don't get stuck on one concept, character, RP, or whatever.

I understand that letting go of something you've achieved so much with can be difficult, but clinging to something for so long can just end up tarnishing the reputation or experiences people have of that character. Besides, it allows another player to experience what you've experienced in that specific role and allows you to venture out and try something different.

I dunno... Maybe I'm alone in this thinking.

Again, this wasn't directed at anyone or anything, but just my general feelings on the matter of returning to old characters or RP. Obviously if you're still enjoying your character, are still active, and are still involved with the game then the above does not apply to you.

I have made such topics on prayer before, especially when Hit&Run decided to bring Masokant back from a long hiatus. To his credit though, he stuck around and made it to a Leader of Nexus and had some of the most epic battles in the history of FL with another legendary character - Kurvikhel.

I don't have a specific opinion whether you should bring back chars of old, but IMO, once you publically announce that you play certaon character (by making a goodbye thread of some sort), that character should be instantly denied. If you want to go away and return later, then by all means do it. Why make a thread about it though?

Unfortunately some players need attention and a quick "keep playing!" from other players to get the energy to continue.

Not everyone may agree with it, but it helps some players retain their characters. What I dislike is when someone posts about shelving regarding an issue that's already been resolved in prayer forum looking for more sympathy. :/
