<263hp 1186m 385mv> You flee from combat!

Crossroads to the Wilderness

The small dirt path becomes a crossroad here, leading in four different

directions.  The way south leads to a tall wooden building, and appears to

be very well travelled.  The way north is much darker, and looks as though

very few have traversed it.  The trees above continue to block any source of

light, making the area much darker.  The path widens towards the eastward,

and continues on to a towering structure that seems to span into the sky.

[Exits: north east south west]

A Nexus Gateway crackles with hellish heat and unholy magics.

A narrow stream of water makes its way through here.

<362hp 1214m 378mv> At the Northeastern Ropes

About three dozen thick chain link ropes are attached to a small titanium

ring on the ground here.  They all reach thousands of feet into the air,

locking tightly onto the bottom corner of the Flying Citidel.  Something

above can be seen flashing green, blue, red, then repeating the cycle.  Loud

creaking is emitted from the chains as the Citidel moves slightly in the

air.

[Exits: south west]

Dozens of thick rusty chains stretch from the ground into the sky.

(White Aura) Raynald the Righteous Eye of God is here.

<362hp 1214m 377mv>

You yell 'Help! Raynald just ran me through!'

You cry in agony as Raynald runs you through with his weapon!

Pretty sure Lich's get far stronger as they raise there phylactery? This is like comparing a DK with low malforms or a bard with no instrument against a decked giant warrior. My suggestion is to play like one until you're powerful enough to compete. The usual protections from melee and lag should help as well.

You should have seen my other fight with him, it was hilarious. I tried to be offensive instead of running for the hills. My most offensive spell did a 'maim". I almost died from just blinking at the screen, thinking it was a typo or something. But no, it was a maim. A lich is like a general, commands armies and is suppose to be feared somewhat I guess.. but my invoker actually killed one of the crusaders, while my lich can't even touch them. Every time you play something for the first time your going to get it handed to you, obviously because your learning how to fight with them. But this is definitely a new experience. I jacked up my AC thinking I can stay in combat longer, which turns out it didn't really change anything.

If you look at a liches tool box, it is really designed to keep people from running away from you...hindering them from getting way,  but if you can't even hurt the person, with your most powerful effective spell, then you pretty much better tuck tale and run. I almost feel like someone really came here and kicked the Player base with a lich or something and it got toned down, but what the heck do I know. I remember when I was destroying with my cleric and minister was insta nerfed, so maybe the same thing happened here.

All in all, I've been really shaking the rust off and getting back to form, but I am a little disappointed in a Lich. You have to work so hard to get your phylactery up, just to get more powerful, yet have all that power gone in an instant from a sader in a few rounds. I can't even hate on the saders tho, like great job in getting your stats to the point where you do that much damage output and get tickled from afflictive spell damage.

Which exactly proves my point that, that certain psalm should not exist. A sader who has chosen said path that can dish out a lot of damage, should receive a lot of damage himself, because of the inability to get decked to the teeth while using the strongest weapon in game, exploiting weaknesses. And the other way around...If you chose to be a walking armory trough the modification of your armor, you get hit less, but your hits should be weaker. The psalm itself makes armor crafting pointless, cause there is a lot of armor, very close in power to the one that you can create. Why would anyone sacrifice choices that can be made to boost your damage to choose to craft armor, when you can simply get that psalm and deck yourself out?

Just my opinion. Not suggesting, or whining, or anything...having in mind said crusader mopped the floor with me a while back and I didn't say a word up until now.

Hehe you guys sure are funny. It wasn't a psalm btw. And the circumstances as to how I gained this are incredibly rare. ;)

Not only that but Ebacha got very close to winning that battle and even admitted to a mistake he could've fixed for next time. Blaming others for your shortcomings are easy but in the end won't help make you better. Trust me I know. Coming to grips with this sooner rather than later will save you alot of heartache. Before I complain about something to the Imms I always make sure I have the best gear, using all cabal skills, tools and consumables and make the best tactical decisions in my pk logs. Even then I could be wrong due to a lack of knowledge on how skills work.

Vs Ebacha I immediately noticed 1, 2, 3, things you could've done differently that would've helped you gain the victory.

Vs Xular I am aware of 1, 2, 3, 4 things you could've done to prepare yourself better.

But it's solely up to you guys to discover this. How bad do you want it?

Hey...I ain't blaming nobody for my loss, but myself as I told you when I gave you props for the win. And as I said, I ain't whining, or suggesting anything...simply stating my opinion, based on the assumption, that that certain psalm is the only way for a sader to get decked in certain kind of items like that. It was a good fight and I lost, cause I did far too many mistakes. I was just surprised by the amount of damage dealt to a fire giant, from fire based damage, but there might be something about that path I am unaware of.

No need to get so defensive, cause no one is attacking you, brof. You won fair and square. And I will repeat...this is my opinion, based on assumptions. Not trying to make anyone see things my way, or trying to make you feel bad for playing something you've worked hard to achieve. And I am not complaining for sure...merely discussing. If I wanted to complain about anything, I would've done right there and then. Sheesh...

Kamikazi. You are by far one of the rudest people I have ever seen on this forum. Hands down. Instead of creating constructive posts that will lead to substantial changes or benefitting the game, you whine and complain about how unfair something is and how the Staff hates you. Then, when the player of that character defends themselves you back down from your position and say you were not attacking them to begin with, but voicing frustration with the current way things are in the game. That is what people like to call, " Being a bitch. " If you're going to attack people, then stand by your statements like a man. Right or wrong. If you don't mean what you say when you say it, then you need to keep your hands off the keyboard until you can put together exactly what it is you mean to say.

Let's get a couple things straight. First off, I agree with a few of your points. There are things you've brought up that I can see a case being made to have them toned or balanced a bit more, but I had to sort through a post of vitriol nonsense and bitching. There are combos that are vastly superior to other combos. That is an issue in ANY online game as balance is constant procedure. Bringing this up in a constructive manner will see far more results than the way you carry and present yourself. How quick are you to help someone in life if they constantly attack you, whine at/about you, or cry about how unfair something may or may not be? Personally, I will be a little more hesitant to spend my time helping someone that has such an ungrateful, disgusting attitude.

You need to grow up and learn to conduct yourself as an adult.

Secondly, I enjoy the majority of your characters. I had a great time interacting with Ebacha with my character. I, generally, don't have a negative experience when I interact with the characters you have admitted to playing. You are a valuable player to this community that provides the game with interesting and fun characters to be with and around. Don't spout off and lose the respect of the people that enjoy having you around and being apart of this game.

The material is made out of fire which is useful for edging. But I don't believe it has any bearing on damage type. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Anonymous poster hash: dd9aa...e7f

Vulns in melee come from the damage noun, not the object material. If the material is fire but has a freezing bite damage noun, it will hit the ice vuln and nothing related to fire. The item's material is used for edges and those hit a material vuln.

The Solar Grasp is made of fire (of some kind, anyways), but does rays damage, which hits the light vuln, not fire.

Fire giants get their damage/proficiency bonus from the material.

Also that psalm, not only makes saders able to deck themselves to the teeth, but it also makes chosing armorcrafting and any other sader path, apart from the one everyone is using pointless. This way all we see are clones of past characters and no diversity at all.

I do have to agree, armorcraft is a pretty crappy choice. The armor you end up with after using all those materials is only marginally better (except one item that's incredible) and needs to be swapped out for efficiency based on your matchups. It's counterpart, however has few of the same restrictions and far less materials. It feels like you're nudged into the build that is almost universally agreed to be OP.

I don't think its crappy to have a permanent set of armor. Not to mention the other stats that can be added with it that wouldn't be ordinarily possible with IG equipment. Combined that with the psalm and the signature that goes with it and wooooo! I always envisioned the Indomitable Titan of the Order to be like the Juggernaut from X-men.

In my opinion, I do not believe Crusaders should ever be allowed to join Tribunal. It does not seem to fit their RP. And to level your weapon for capturing goods and neutrals when your sole purpose of to crusade against evil. It has always seemed like Crusaders go Tribunal for the "easy" leveling of their weapons. You can crusade against whomever you want outside of town and hide inside if its going downhill. Just seems bogus to me. There are reasons that Crusaders are no longer allowed to be Warmasters and it is along similar lines of how they are as a Tribunal. They should be left to either Knight, Herald or uncaballed.

You are right for the most part. Fire giants get bonus prof from the damage noun too i.e. if the weapon is made from steel but the damage noun is related to fire they will still get bonus prof (example flaming sceptre).
