Ambroas Posted July 25, 2016 Report Share Posted July 25, 2016 I'm coming up with an idea to revamp Healers since they aren't really needed these days and lost one of their main reasons for existing with the change in resurrection. Their buffs aren't needed due to other classes having them and consumables, most players are experienced enough they don't die to NPCs these days very often so they gain nothing from asking the Healer. A war against the undead is nice but that seems to be more lacking since if there isn't an undead you literally have nothing to do. So many healing items combined with hybrid healing classes means the Healer is a class that is outdated and needs to be recreated in a new vision. This is just to brainstorm before I put it in Ideas, I'm wanting to throw stuff at the wall and see what people like or don't like. I want this to be balanced and fair in the end. First: This class would be a true Healer/Buff class with no restrictions towards good/evil. The class would basically be a general support in the end. Implementing this class and having it do well could very much depend on the IMMs lowering consumables so that the class is actually needed. The class would have basically every current buff in the game and could debuff opponents. Will have to think of some that would be specific to this class only so that it is special to have. It would be able to heal like healers do now, increase casting ability for mages, melee for melee and so on. A welcome addition to any party and almost a necessity if consumables are nerfed like I said. So right now I'm writing ideas so please just comment on what you would like to see out of this or even if you think it's a bad idea and please say why. Generally speaking we could have this class: Buff, debuff, repair armor/weapons or even enhance them, enchant perhaps, craft, or so many other features that a support should be able to do. Have them make people hit much harder, faster, more accurate, restore mana, make spells hit harder etc.. FL really has no support class anymore and I would love to see one. Also I do see that the class would literally be able to buff itself to insanity so the class would have very little in the way of offensive skills or spells. Enough to help yes but that's about it. It would also be interesting for newbies since they could create what they need, buff to make up for low level armor and fight either as a mage or melee. If applicable add rp restrictions. If it is a non existing spell name it somehow (might get renamed) and just describe what it does as well as you can.
