f0xx Posted August 2, 2016 Report Share Posted August 2, 2016 That's nothing strange. Dude has a lot of damroll and is using a high damage weapon that is hitting your vuln. On the other hand, your cabal guard, as all the cabal guards, are resistant to magical damage. You will suck the same (if not more) amount of damage from any warrior wielding vuln weapons. Dunno why you are so surprised. Vulns suck, and he also has one. Link to comment

Even Belderon isnt playing the most OP combo that he can. He can go watcher stalker and I am sure that he will even be more powerful. Also I am always thinking that undeads should be immune to paralyze. I also dont know why bards should have fired weapons at first place? I always recognized a bard as a bar singer that has bar fights sometimes, from where the hell a bar bully and a singer can learn how to fire with crossbows and bows? Link to comment

I would drop the mundane AC armor and get Armor focused more in Magical AC as most melees will be trying to exploit your vuln. You really need more saves, weapon proc used to save vs AFFlictive saves, no idea if they still are. I think some more breath saves would be useful if you are fighting him a lot. And this is the reason you need saves when fighting meeles, weapons procs. 2 hours flameblind or paralyzes are a pain on a mage. Maybe @Morlhach can give you some tips on the saves thing since he designed bards and re-tinkered save checks. For me I would get ~50 AFF and ~45 breath. ~70 aff if vs Paladin/voker. Link to comment

Mya has long held the opinion that keeping up aff saves while fighting a melee is worth it to help prevent fire blind from embers/weapons. Not many agree with this opinion. Link to comment
