tassinvegeta
I've a question about blademasters. When forced to go offensive against them, what is the best weapon choice? Dual flails, axes, whips seem out of the question against a heavy melee/defensive class like that.

Blademasters can't use staff, try that one.
tassinvegeta
I'm a warrior, and I said when FORCED to go offensive, meaning dual wield.
Anithraril
Offensive weapon and a shield.
Zrothum
Power Hammer and shield. Remember the weapons that they don't get. And hope they aren't in that one stance.
Designated_Driver
That situation's not going to happen. Because if you dual wield against a blademaster, you're an idiot.
Implementor Anume Posted June 8, 2006 Implementor Report Share Posted June 8, 2006 Staff seems to work very well. If you can, find a way to stop/slow down their mana regen, they are extremely mana dependant.
mya
Only weapon worth dual wielding would probably be Vulnerability weapons. But if you realy wish to go insane, wield a spear in one hand and a whip in the second. That way you are defensive from the spear. OR a whip and a dual parry dagger. Or a Mace and a dual parry dagger, probably the best round out. Shield wont matter mutch, since you know all weapons, and the shield is good for when he uses a weapon you know not. Now if you are insane, you can dual wield whips. Now a dual wielding flail berserker, would be a interesting fight.

But really thank all of you for your input, you don't know how much this will help me.
tassinvegeta
Oh one more question, a mace and shield isn't that the same def/off wise as double gripping a two handed mace? Hmm now that I think of it, maybe its not the same defensive wise because instead of using the crappy defense of the mace when using the two handed block, it transforms into the defense of the shield in shield black, is my logic right? Chayesh
The trade off is that double gripping is harder to disarm. Try double gripping a staff and pugil.

Acerbity
Won't happen. Usually pugiling a staff and shooting a bow at the same time will take down a blm, depending on which stance he takes. I think pugiling a staff and shooting a bow should not happen in the first place, but that's me
tassinvegeta
You can't use a mace and shield, its either mace/shield or mace/bow, I just realized that. And a staff with a bow just doesn't seem to cut it. They poor out too much melee damage also giving them plenty of time crit strike.
mya
If you are a giant warrior, you should have advantage using a two handed weapon. Dirt also will help you. Disarm also, as many of them dont use cursed weapons. Offhand disarm is great. You wont disarm mutch with a staff. IS the stance where he predicts bash the same where he know your weapon ? If not go full out dual whips and forget hitroll for dammage, ansd bash dirt offhand disarm.
Acerbity
Dirt won't help you. Battletrance and blindfighting completely nulls the affect. And no, the stances aren't the same, but he has other things he could use up his sleeve. You're getting warmer..
Fiere
They can't crit if they're being bash locked, which they can't avoid if they're in that one weapon stance. If they are avoiding bash lock, you can use a weapon type they don't have. Seems like a win/win to me.

Mindflayer
Back to your orignal question Tassinvegeta, use a double gripped mace. I prefer the Solar Mace if possible, it did wonders for Bazin against all of his blademaster opponents.
