Trick
Very well thought out response, Kyzarius, for sure. And a lot of your points are valid and make sense. The reason why I don't think anyone should get punished in this situation is because it is people playing the game. Tagging, ganging, team killing, whatever you want to call it. It is allowed. You are in a cabal, which is essentially a team in FL. Now, I'm not saying to run around in a full group of all five cabal members and just pillage the game, but there is safety in numbers. Terrokant got involved in a cabal war against the Warmaster and Savant. TERROKANT put himself in that situation. Kuhng was fighting his war. I am all for someone trying to even the scales and have a great 2v2 encounter, until this happens. Terrokant is very veteran player and knows damn well what can happen when you put yourself in this situation. He's even said it in this thread that he enjoys fighting those odds. The thing about ganging is this: Everyone loves the back and forth PK between several players. Everyone enjoys it. From a veteran PKer standpoint, I love being ganged and WINNING. There is nothing better than fighting an outnumbered scenario and coming out on top, you feel like a total badass. BUT, when you put yourself in these positions and it doesn't work out, then you create negativity. That's when people get upset. When your badass plan fell apart and you lost. Now its unfair and its against some code of ethics. Will Kuhng and Karishin be viewed a little differently because of this? Who can say. I hope not. But, Kuhng did not create this situation. Kuhng was fighting his war and Terrokant INJECTED himself into the situation. War is rough. People die. And to further back up my point, look at a shoutout entitled Jhinx. I'm 99% sure Terrokant posted that, yeah he didn't sign it, but throwing around fireballs with 3 people in an area then saying its a dangerous world? Can't do crap like that and then post this log expecting sympathy. Not from me. Link to comment
Kyzarius
We will have to just agree to disagree on that point about who created the situation. I see a V in a cabal running back to his cabal guard for aid/protection. Where he would of died had it not been for the intervention of Karishin. Which imo is a bad habit to have in PK. When I am E or L I actually chastise my I through T members for doing that. But that is after all personal flavor, and solely the discretion of the Cabal IMM or E/L players. Link to comment
Implementor Erelei Posted August 18, 2016 Implementor Report Share Posted August 18, 2016 I was hoping this wouldn't turn into an argue fest. While I enjoy the arguments and the opinions, the facts aren't really there. So I'll comment, and then lock this thread. The log was posted (in my opinion) to stir up and slander the other characters involved, and I had originally thought to delete it, but decided to see what could come of it. This is a prime example of making a fool of yourself when you don't know the whole situation. Karishin was having issues with his connection, apparently. Him and Kuhng were still grouped, from a previous expedition somewhere, and Karishin truly thought he was being attacked by Terrokant over and over, thus the fleeing and walking back in to apparently continue fighting Zaos. Case in point, auto-assist caused the issue here. Thanks for keeping it somewhat civil. Link to comment
