That's not just my opinion.

Ninja. This is a big topic for me. Assassinate...Kaylia was lotus scourge, not falcon eye. After EXTENSIVELY playing a 75% assassinate-only ninja, I can say that I think assassinate should go or needs major tweaking. If, for some reason, assassinate does stay, it should be made into STEALTH only. I never did the flee/study game, but I know it could be done and fairly easily at that. Study should require the full 5 ticks (no stopping at one or two ticks to meditate) and if the ninja is engaged AT ALL, they should lose the study.

But honestly, I think assassinate should just go

Considering Kaylia was more successful than all your ninjas combined, her opinion matches mine.

As for your challenge, I have no desire to play a class that can kill with 1 strike. This goes completely against my principles of sportsmanship and balance.

The idea of "We need assassinate to bring the unkillable guys down" is absurd, just like the idea and implementation of wimpy, but that's a whole different topic.

f0xx, why you are always hiding behind someone's words? When you were playing blademasters I was telling you couple of times that they are broken and you said no they are not. Should I take your words seriously just because you have a successful blademaster? So, you quoting Kaylia is just wrong, there are admins for a reason to determine which is broken and which not. Trust me assassinate is not one of the things that needs modifying. If you have been assassinated it means you have messed up very much, a well played thief can backstab + trap combo and insta kill you without study or anything...it means again that you messed up very much and its not fault of the class mechanics. I have never been assassinated, maybe one time and it was because I was fighting someone else, I believe that Donovan assassinated me. There are so many ways to prevent being assassinated as tassin already gave you some tips. You f0xx are one of the players that whine for every class revamp that you dont play. I wanted to see the ninjas get from gimped a viable choice and this right now is my moment so let me enjoy it.

*sigh* It is entirely possible for something to be OP without it being so OP that it is broken.  Figuring out the right levels of -str and other effects of skills is simply going to take some experimentation and tweaking to get to a point where the majority feel it acceptable.  No reason to tear each other apart over it.

Many things seems strong on paper bro, just roll one and see for yourself that lotus scourge ninja it wont go exactly as you plan.

From now on, every time you complain about something, my answer will be "Roll one and see for yourself". You are so biased it's not even funny. Watching you defend ninjas is like watching Ghrundor defend mino warriors.

I am done with this crap.

So much hypocrisy in you.

As with everything I tweak or 're-code', over time they get fixes if I deem something too strong.

No need to argue needlessly on whether it will be. Wait and give it time. As it is now, and from the way I see it, I don't see ninjas being OP.

Kaylia also played when you could get attacked while studying and keep your study. That's been changed to what we have now - you have to meditate and burn that crap in your memory before you're attacked, or it's over for you. I've played with some other ideas regarding assassinate, too. I've played with if you're studying someone and they see you, at any time, it becomes 100% harder to assassinate them (if they see you on where, I mean).

As it is, doublesheath ninja for instance loses assassinate, since that's not what they're all for. I'm close to removing study too, and adding a specific skill that studies while in combat with users (haven't figured out a name for it yet). So the longer you fight these kinds of ninjas, the worse time you'll have with them.

Keep the ideas coming if you have any.

That's actually a pretty good idea, but I think I know what holds you back :P

That would make certain q classes impossible to assassinate.

These things seem great to me, until I end up in cabal battle and am FORCED to fight them for lack of a better word.

She said +100% harder, not -100% chance.  If you've got a baseline fail chance of, say, 20% with everything involved, your fail chance would instead be 40%.  If I'm understanding correctly.

Still would make it MUCH harder, no doubt.

try assasinating them NOW, when they can see you no matter what.

added chance will make it impossible.

Opponents who have a hunch they're being studied have a very simple defensive option.  Log out!

I tested some of the new ninja techs on an old char of mine....really like the jujetsu but the problem I have:  I couldn't find a single worthy two-handed spear that was light enough to wield.  The only ones I know of are from cloud city and citadel though.  So I had this idea:  For demon pit weapons, can we have an option to make a weapon 2H or 1H?
