I guess this refers to magic resistant races then? My apologies then. But still, -8 str is way over the top.

It's been like that for a while and it doesn't make studying any more difficult.

IMO, if a ninja is attacked, they should lose ALL they've learned, not just that which hasn't been meditated upon. Dancing around your opponent while studying them completely defeats the lore of silent assassin.

Umm not exactly. Maybe I'm not explaining it correctly. Before you could engage in combat, flee before the tick is up, and keep your 'learned study' AND the 'active study' going whether you're dirted/can see your opponent or not. This is how I got 90% of my assassinations in the past. What's different now is that;

1. You lose the active study, therefore you must re-initiate the syntax

2. If you can't see your opponent you can't re-initiate the syntax

If you can let your bias go for a minute foxx you'll find I've shared with you a huge boon against something you greatly disagree with. I've found that taking advantage of situations like this to be far more effective than being a negative nancy on the forums. At least for the short term hehe.

Assassination is needed.  We all know this.  It's mechanics are quite balanced IMHO.  And every assassin ninja will have their bane in the form of Crusaders, Vamps, Tribunals, Thieves, Liches.  Until someone racks up a 50-0 PK record purely on assassinations, I don't think it needs to be changed.
