Those hours are hours played in game (score sheet).  Power ranking to 30 in 3 hours and logging out for 24 hours won't cut it.  If memory serves, it physically won't let you send the application, but it's been a while since I've been under the time limit and things might have been changed in that department.

That's not counting Roleplaying Point requirements.

People are deleting Qraces/classes left and right. I wouldn't be surprised if people have to wait a little longer than normal for something.

I think its up to the person behind the character. The fact that you are giving him something that  he/she wants to play, doesn't mean that he/she should marry it.

People delete characters too fast. I've had two avatars, a demon, and one psionicist delete within 1 month of getting their qrace/class. And this was after the requirements were updated.

Okay but what is the big deal about it? They delete because they dont have what to do. Honestly when I log in 90% of the time I spam where and who.

Because my time is pretty much wasted interacting with said character, setting up continued RP, and including them in the future as the IMM who approved them (depending on the race/class approved). The other IMMs don't like wasting the time either. It's a lot of work. Does this not make sense to you?

I would say the big deal is the imms spending the time approving the app.  Which includes time observing them for RP etc.

The big thing though in my mind is that Imms have possibly told someone else they CANT have it because player Y was first to the slot.  Then player Y just deletes.

Who's fault is that? If I don't want to, I won't spam that. There are always people on to interact with, journals/notes to send, new RP avenues to create, etc. Just because you don't take advantage of everything the game offers doesn't mean others don't.

Like Erelei said, people deleting a character fast is frustrating not only for the IMMs, but for players. I have personally tried to involve several players in quite a few things only to have them delete and it totally stops the flow of whatever I am trying to push/do.

If you don't want to invest time in your character, why should I invest my time in your character?

I think Terrokant is a perfect example. You deleted a demon DK that IMMs and players had devoted time into. Do you think that you deserve the opportunity to get another Q-Whatever after you just deleted one 6 days ago? If I were an IMM, I would make you wait a long ass time. Month minimum.

Exactly why I called you out and asked you to name 3...because I knew you were directing this at me, not the general pbase. Instead of just saying what you meant, you made some disguised poke at me insinuating I should be punished for letting go of Terrokant.  That's the IMMs choice to make and not for you to cast stones at.

I left because of certain reasons and then they got changed.  I decided NOT to bring the char back since I posted identity and I don't like people who do that and come back, so I'm not doing that.

Now you're disguise flaming me? What did I ever do to you lol. But in seriousness is it really worth not playing a qclass/race you invested so much time in? In both of our situations things were changed. I mean I know I may have to deal with some ooc now but to let go and give up without a strong reason that's no longer valid is just not my style.

A shame we don't have a way to know how many Qthings exists. You create a character to apply for X, and suddenly lots of X and a bazillion X applicants pop up.

You can bet all those Elf warriors and paladins you see are Sadders applicants.

I wonder how hard would be to code a command to search the last 3 months of loged in Pfiles and print a report of n Q-things and applicants. Something like:

---------------------------
>Questroll

Vampire Actives: 3
Messalanta
Martineus
Valadar
Vampire Applicants: 5
noobVamp
Dakul
PrincessPumpkin
Vladd
Igor

Lich Actives: 0
Lich Applicants: 1
badToTheBone
--------------------------------

But withhold the players names when it's not a immortal typing the command. And having the command cost something like 50% of your HP and 1 full tick of lag, to prevent someone spaming it, After all checking Pfiles must tax heavily the CPU.

Now that I think of it, we could also have one of those for Cabal.

Wasn't directing it at you directly, there's been plenty of people in the last few years who post about a character leaving/deleting and then end up coming back.

Used to be a rule I thought, once you posted, it was imm-deleted.

I think once you say it's done, it should be done, just my personal opinion.  Nothing is stopping me from playing Terrokant except my desire to remain true to my beliefs.
