I am going to be going for a bit, pending the reinstatement of the gang/tag rules. As it stands it is not the super decked people who are getting killed, it is the people struggling to get their footing getting repeatedly gang/tagged/looted. People can argue that you loot only to take a few key pieces of eq, but when it was them getting passed around like a peace pipe, then looted of items it takes months to get, it is just a frustration that isn't needed. Since the gang/tag rule was instated I have participated in 2 fights that where 1v1 fights. The typical scenario is I am attacked by one person, have to retreat to regroup, within moments another person is on me. My choices are insure up, or log off. I will be checking back to see if things improve periodically, but completely lifting all gang/tag rules was, in my opinion, a mistake. In an age where one player has 3 cabaled characters, and characters are rolled with the sole purpose of eliminating another character, it just creates unnecessary stress. Some people will agree with me, some won't. I also know this post will create a debate where the ultimate goal is to prove me wrong. I will answer those attempting to say I am wrong with this:

I am not the only person who shares this opinion. This is my opinion. My opinion is based on what I have seen, and experienced first hand. You can argue until the end of days, but my opinion is firmly rooted in what is going on in game. This was not brought on by a character death, or being denied an application, or not being made leader in a month. It is my honest opinion as a player here

Do you have logs as examples? I only say this because in my experience I haven't really seen much of this. Everyone seems to follow a specific code of not really interfering if they know your fighting someone else. I have even noticed with cabal warfare, conversations happening prior to engaging in combat of whom will be attacking whom. Sometimes there could be miscommunication or some egar inductee trying to make a name for themselves, but for the most part I haven't experienced or seen this type of taging/ganging. However, as you mentioned, we can only speak from our experiences.

I know the Yewtrunk and Giacomo was absolutely random. I wouldn't consider that a gang by any means, just really bad luck. I don't ever remember fighting you when bahir was around. The only thing that could come to mind is cabal defence. Everyone knows if your going for your standard, and there are multiple enemy's about, most likely you'll get attacked at the cabal guard while you make your attempt. Now, if you had two people grouped and hunting you down, I would consider that ganging/taging. As yewtrunk I went up against 2 Tribunals pretty much 80% of the time. If they had my standard, I automatically knew I would have to fight both of them at the cabal guard, but 90% of the time only one would chase and engage. I will also have to say your invoker was nasty as hell. I have fought many invokers and your definitely up there on the totem poll.

If you are who I think you are based on this thread you seem pretty aggro considering your cabal...If you gonna sit in a room and use a spell that attacks anyone who walks in expect to have multiple enemies after you at once... You are obviously frustrated though, you even ignored me in game when I was RPing with you because of how pissed you are OOC, maybe you do need a break.

If you see aggression try being a trib. Trib is a life of being kicked while you're down. It's like everyone listens to NWA. Right after yewtrunk finished me off in the log, I spent the next several days struggling to run from easy mob to easy mob equipping. I tried on 4 separate instances to request, only to have someone wait til the moment I grabbed the item to attack me. Trib life is a bit rough

He wasn't ganged, he wasn't tagged, he wasn't looted except gold. If he wants to say I lootedbhim, he is free to by all means. But I would ask anyone except yewtrunk (who was looted partially using confiscate, even though I found his full corpse in monastery at one point) to show blogs of me looting them when it wasn't in response to a tag attempt
