WarriorCleric
Anyone else in the job hunt and tired of it? I had the perfect job, I could pick my hours, I got well over the going rate for my position, I was garunteed .25 raise every semester and one over the summer, they payed for all my certifications and gave me raises for each one I completed, I was able to take full time hours over breaks and summer vacations, we could listen to headphones while we worked, we could tell customers not to come back again if they were unrulely. I could take lunch when ever I wanted without checking, and any time I wanted a to take a break I could. It was a five minute walk from my apartment, and being employed there placed me on Staff at the University. And the best part, I was number two, I had a respectful position within the employment. Then my 'team leader' transfered to a new school, my supervisor got engaged and moved away, and then my Manager got a job as an R&D engineer at Greatbatch. For a month we had no management above us. Then we got a new manager, who wouldn't give me the time off I had comming to, i.e. signed up for, for finals. So, finals or work? So work and I were forced to 'part ways.' And that wasn't even the worst part of the last two months. So, anyone have an stories of good things happening to them recently, like Shaun becoming a father to be? I need some good news to live vicariously through. WC

Iyorvin
Got dumped, kicked out of my place, lost my best friend, and had really nothing to look foward to. Universities wouldnt' give me a second glance again, and I just didn't have anything to strive for. Then my Uncle gave me a loan to get to Calgary, where I aced the entrance Exam at DeVry University of Technology, where they placed me on an advanced learning strategy to get me through school quicker. I got an awsome job at an electronics store where I have a kick *** manager, met some kick *** peeps, and have had some wild times. Then, just before I was to go to DeVry I got notice that the University of Alberta will accept me and now I can take what I really want, Poli Science and dual degree in Law. So through hell I believe I end up on top. I am making more money then I really know how to spend and getting impatient to get into school. **** happens but things always work out, always. Lunicant
but even better than that I had a kit-kat the other day (you have them in US?) and one of the fingers was made of SOLID chocolate instead of chocolate covered wafer. Nympha
Hrm lets see. I was basically diagnosed as mentally disabled, but this opened the door to the state of Oregon desiding since I was mentally disabled(due to depression) they are going to pay for 100% to get me back in college to get my Law Degree. My parents temporarily "took" my kids to live at their house. More room for them to play so I get up at 6am to drive to my parents house to take care of my kids every day instead of having to struggle with them waking up three or four times a night. Still no job but will as soon as I get my Paralegal certificate, already have a job lined up as soon as I get out of school and then I will be able to get my Law Degree from the best law school in the state and get a top paying job as a Lawyer. My deadbeat ex-husband(parents decided he was so deadbeat they would help pay for the divorce) has not seen his kids in ten months and due to his verbal degrading of me over the phone, now has absolutely no contact with his kids or me at all. Life is good. Edit:Back in the dating game and it sucks!

a-guitarist
I was playing the game "Close your eyes and find fun stuff". So I closed my eyes and started crawling around the kitchen floor. After a little while I found a candy bar and picked it up. I was so excited... that is, until I opened my eyes. Turns out it was something the cat left behind. But, all in all, they taste pretty much the same. a-g
Zrothum
You'd be suprised. I know a VERY attractice, single, 23yr old girl. She dresses up all the time and goes to bars alone. Nobody approaches her.
MeleeCrazy
she's going to the WRONG PLACES, or she doesn't put yerself outthere, or the bars she goes to all full of guys like me.....who are to scared to approach certain women for fear of utter and total embarassment, or are to gentlmenly to actuallly hit on said woman. Zrothum
I've told her many times it's fear. She really is just that hot. And then when you start talking to her...she's incredibly intelligent. Graduated college when she was 17. Served in the Army for 4 years (made the news by shooting down a missile or some crap, cant remember exactly)...just yea. But no guys approach her. its hilarious
Nympha
Hehe...Hard to hit the bars when you have to watch two kids. Trust me, I have no problem getting guys, in fact, I got hit on horribly by a gas station owner when I was getting ten dollars in my tank. He actually "forgot" and filled my tank instead of just putting in ten dollars. But the second anyone finds out....two kids, one autistic. They want nothin to do with me! Ibdivine
Mines not as bad as everyone elses... A hurricane came and ruined all of my things, to top it off once I got abck to my place and relized it was gone, and just as I was about to move into another place. I got put into the hospital witha tacky heart of 150 (heart ebating 150bpm - look it up, thats ALOT) to be the youngest person on the heart floor by 25+ years. Stay in there to find out im #1. Anemic, #2, Have johndis(sp?). #3. Have tyroid that is not hyperactiv or underactive but is thrwing out constant thyroid storms and if not fixed It could kill me. Atleast they said my liver is ok... 22yo yeah.... I get out and two days later my girl decides im to nice and im trying to hard, and she doesn't have the time to put into a relationship. Come to find out, screwing her ex is not a relasionship and she has plenty of time for it. Then I turn 23.. which soundss great, but I ended up giving my mom $400 bucks for my birthday. Other then that... peachy.

grannym4n
Buy a domain. Then sell it. *blink* No, really. Buy domains off of domain selling sites such as godaddy.com. .com's are expensive but it's like an investment. Buy a bunch of ones you 'think' people will want in the future. Big businesses will spend lots of money to get a better webaddress for more visitors and if you have the one they want they have to buy it off you. Say you buy "www.officialfl.com" and down the road Behren's decides he doesn't want forsakenlands.org anymore, he wants a dot com. He specifically wants the officialfl.com you own so he contacts you and you work out a deal(here's where you ask for the millions). Opposite that if you have a good domain name you could search like urls and contact the owners and try to convince them why buying and using yours would be better. .com's are more expensive, but get listed much better on searches than others. For example I own part of www.aachaeon.com but if I had it a .info, .biz, .name, ect it wouldn't be as 'valuable.'
Sneak
is aachaeon.com valueable?
