Killfiend
Okay so this was just a thought that I had pop into my head the other night. So I've seen in some cases of RP plots requiring a lot of items of random assortments. which can kill your inventory or even lockers when they are typically used for supplies and such. Some players don't have this issue but I think some do. So I thought for this case, in each cabal we could add like a storage room where you could have a couple of chests or lockers where each one could hold like 100 or 200 non rare items. This could help with a multitude of things I think. Any added ideas for this or thoughts are greatly appreciated. This could help build a little cabal member coercion and even help a little for say cabal warfare. Can keep some nice nonrare eq in the lockers or chests to grab if you lose something. Instead of having to run all the way to so and so to get that one item you want while your enemy takes your standard lol. Again, just a thought here. Be nice. f0xx
There are containers that can hold up to 200 items, that can be placed into another container.... you can literally carry 20.000 non rare items in a single backpack, as long as your strength allows it. Lloth
Containers are widely broken, and have been discussed. I fully support an overhaul, we just need to crunch numbers.
f0xx
Why are they broken?
Implementor Anume Posted October 10, 2016 Implementor Report Share Posted October 10, 2016 Why not use lockers?
f0xx
Lockers can hold only 50 items i.e. a bag + 49 items in it.
Implementor Erelei Posted October 10, 2016 Implementor Report Share Posted October 10, 2016 Isn't locker 99?
Magick
Nope. Your locker currently contains: a sturdy backpack There are 45/50 items in your locker. Your locker is currently costing you: 500 gold per month.
Implementor Anume Posted October 10, 2016 Implementor Report Share Posted October 10, 2016 The thread was not about allowing 100 instead of 50 things in your locker though. What would be the advantage / difference of these cabal lockers?
Zavero
Wait.... lockers?
Magick
The only advantage I can see with a cabal locker is the same way that WoW guilds use them. Members can place items into the locker to which other members can use immediately or stock up on items. Basically a storage version of the old Savant spell Gift. As cabals get the outfit command, I don't see much use outside of consumable sharing. Or perhaps to flesh out the cabal outfit. I think I see where he's going with this, but I'm not sure if it's really needed. @Zavero: help locker LOCKER STASH RETRIEVE Syntax: stash purchase: purchase a locker stash: view locker info stash <item>: store an item in your locker retrieve <item>: retrieve an item from your locker The bank of Aabahran allow anyone to purchase and use a locker to store items in the safety of their vaults. Once a locker is purchased you may store items in it at any time for a cost. You can retrieve an item only in person however. For storing your items the bank deducts from your account the sum of all object's levels divided by two, or 500 gold whichever is higher. This sum is paid once per Aabahran month. tassinvegeta
I like this idea. I never really understood why cabals need to go through cities/Tribunal to get lockers. Watcher and Syndicate especially. Oddly they have no choice but to have permission from Tribunal to use there locker system, there banks and perhaps even there mount shops. Magick
Not all cities are under Tribunal rule. Even so, you don't need their "permission" to use them. Banks are scattered across the lands and aren't limited to the 3 major cities. Mount shops can be found in a wide variety of places. Mostly cities, but a few other places, too. I can think of one at any rate. Sure, most of these are focused around cities/towns, and I too find it a bit odd that the Syndicate doesn't have direct access to banks. Watchers, though. I've never seen trees and shrubs use financial institutions. Maybe that's why they're so pissed about cities. They've got the monopoly on banking. Now while I'm tempted to say that a bank access point in cabals would be nice, I'm reminded of how little we go into cities and towns as it is. This would be one more reason to never need to step foot inside their walls.
Ambroas
I do like the idea of a shared chest for cabal use where you can put non rare things in that others might want and it isn't lost during shifts. Can stock up items that others have hard times getting to and put them in or finally get a sword someone needed and deposit it. I'm also a fan of Watcher finally destroying all the cities and we'll have banks inside long dead hollowed out trees where ninjas can't hide.
