I want to start off by saying I had a hell of a lot of fun with this one. I wanted to try out another good aligned blademaster again. I went a little too head strong at the start by playing an elf avatar blademaster and as it went decent, I still had a lot to learn about blademasters. This one I think a bit better. I want to thank Lelleialla and Ashuga for being awesome. Had a lot of friends and a lot of enemies. I hope everyone enjoyed him. Thanks guys!

Was it from dying or just not liking them? Blademasters have been ultra nerfed so I can understand. I personally don't even like playing them anymore and they were my favorite class to play. I still haven't found anything that feels the same since. *tear*

Also keep in mind that blademaster tac0 is STILL at the best value other melees get (same as warrior / vamp).

I'll disagree.

There were multiple changes to blademasters over a long period of time.

Firstly, there was the change to deathweaver (which was suggested by myself), making the stance two handed only. Then BLM procs were changed, making it more rare to get the double proc. Then disarm was changed, making you fail disarms often, even when in ironarm (when the help file says it will never fail) and THEN it was tac0. And even though there are claims it is equal to vamps and warriors, my experience says different.

When an invoker outdamages your decked offensively stanced BLM in melee, then there's something wrong.

Currently, there is no point in playing a BLM when you can play a druid or a ninja. They offer similar and even higher versitility, and higher melee power.

Those are my 2 cents. Take them as you wish.

The biggest difference I noticed when I returned was a massive hindrance with two-handed polearm/weapons. With my BLM I could go into deathweaver, weapons low and be quite defensive and start leveraging my critical strikes/onslaughts to ware down my opponent. In my opinion this strategy is completely obsolete now because your no-longer that defensive. I would get completely out hit each round and obviously my offensive output was minimal because of how defensive I was. You pretty much will now lose a battle against a warrior or ranger 9/10 times. IF you use two weapons and try to predict or get into Kyousaken you'll also get out-hit each round guaranteed. I'm not the type of person to just give up. I make sure I try all possible variations, weapons, stances, tactics, armor and different weapon setups to try and test my own theory's. I ended up rolling 3 BLM when I returned and tried everything I could possible try and eventually determined that they were no longer fun to play or a viable options to stay competitive. This is coming from someone that played 30+ BLM and had some very successful ones. Unfortunately with all these changes they no-longer can complete in FL 2016.
