Mixed feelings about making the wiki 100%  current - kinda wrecks exploration for me a bit right?

But on the flip side I see the appeal of having all eq laid out there.

Speaking of update wiki, I just tried to add an entry in for the Pyre Lance and well... it ended up on a white screen after saving.  No clue what I'm doing wrong.

Yeah no idea - I tried to add a list of things and it wouldn't work either.

2 points on that.  One, the wiki isn't really forced on to anyone to use and there can be a lot of helpful information that isn't spoilerific.  Two, after the first couple of times you identify something, it'd be nice to have it on hand besides a personal copy pasted notepad of all the info.

Besides, seeing as there's a lot of information that isn't obvious even after identifying equipment anyway.  Lord knows I keep having to ask how things work on newbie forum and will some more in the future!

What happened to the color for the forum banners and quote buttons?  I'm getting a weird white text on white background with them - thought it was something wrong with my computer at first, but I've got the same on my iPad as well.

+1. I am having this issue as well.

I am, too.  I too, thought it was a bad refresh or load or something, but as we've had a change to the up/downvote button and having it replaced with "like this" and a cute pink heart, the only thing I can think of is that Erelei's been having fun with the forum and broke something in the process.

Lloth or any immortals who wish to entertain my questions. What is it that you enjoy most about being an immortal? Roleplaying with others, watching PK, reading the journals/applications players create, building, etc...?

Conversely, what is your least favorite part of being an immortal?

most favorite: watching a vet die bc of stupid mistakes they usually never make (esp when fighting me). Snooping really good rp by chance. Putting in some echos and or mobs there to enhance it more when I have the time.

least favorite: player abuse, rage, bitching (e.g. when they died, cheated, etc)

Well who doesn't love it when vets make mistakes when fighting them.

Mistakes speak of anxiety and nervousness, and those speak of fear. Fear of your character. Ain't that the best compliment after all?

Lol.

Not true at all. I've made plenty of mistakes in PK that were done out of lack of fear or arrogance. I've walked through opponents, so when I fight them again I might get so cocky as to not do something I normally would do or vice versa and it gets me killed.

Couple examples:

Fighting Lisko at the Lookout as Belderon. I couldn't get him to fight anywhere else so I kinda didn't have a choice. I knew full well he was gonna set a chest buster south, then another one south of it and just murder/flee me to death, but I couldn't get 'em outta hiding. I was cocky and thought I was more badass than I was and it got me killed. Tribunal L skill coulda helped here, but it never lands. :P

Chasing Sylf as Ekhurift when we were both hurt knowing if I could get a single round off I'd win, but he used Tuo Scrolls like an old man uses Viagra.

Then there are tons of times where I talk to opponents during the fight instead of actually fighting. If ANYONE has fought Ekhurift they know this full well. Hell, even Anume told me to stop playing with my food and just finish it.

Peshu killed Belderon as I was being cocky and stupid. Another example of how arrogance can get your ass looted.

So, mistakes aren't JUST born out of fear, nervousness, or any form of anxiety. They can come from those things, but can also come from arrogance, not paying attention enough, RL distractions.

DISCLAIMER: I am not saying this is the only time I make mistakes or die. I've been completely out played and just trounced by several characters.

My death as Grakk to that WM monk was completely as Trick described.  I "knew" he couldn't beat me so I just kinda had fun with him letting him tag me and I'd shake my head and flee or something, then let him do it again and again...all it took was one ill timed chakera hitting just as my sanc dropped AND he landed air thrash AND hadn't blown chii bolt yet...AND hit a double dragon chakera the next round....yeah...stupid deaths aren't always fear...it's sometimes complacency, cockiness, etc.
