Kyzarius
So, two relativly un-related inquiries.... I have dispel Magic mastered 100%, yet i miss over and over and over and over when in pkill battles...i know some types get good saves, but geez! Is there anything i can do to help my dispel?? (other than curse, which is at 100%..and misses over..and over..and over..) Also!!! Why cant you Order all attack it never works...
California Raisin
To answer order all, to put it simply, overpowered
Kyzarius
To answer order all' date=' to put it simply, overpowered[/quote'] so thats it eh? just hard coded so you cant order minions to jump a player...oh well.
Fiere
I don't play a lot of necros, but if I remember correctly, you can only order charmies to attack mobs, not players. So, strictly rescue. Yeah, it would be overpowered.
mya
Keep trying, so you are a cleric. Curse before you dispel. Shure it is hard to land, but there is always a % chance that it will get in even with ungodly saves.
Talcian
maybe try order murder instead of order kill? No clue if it will work or not, just a thought.
Lexi
Well... since players must murder a person, I assume it is the same for charmies. Also, there are certain items that will help you with dispel - but they are few and far between.
Deykari
Charmies can't murder either. Not players anyway, I've tried it. Dey
myrek
try murder target... if you just merder, I believe they will all attack at the same time.... try raising your spell level.
Warpnow
He's trying to make the charmies take the blows instead of him by making them attack first. You can't order a charmy to attack a player. It would be overpowered as hell.
myrek
re: warpnow I know. But that is the only way to get all the charmies to attack right away. That has super low lag so a quick order all save my *** should get as close to the results he wants as the game allows.
Mindflayer
Imagine three zombies of Traven the Chieftain of Desolation, two golems AND a cabal charmie starting pk battle against an invoker (class with only one defensive skill). You could easily one round a faerie invoker with that technique, especially if you got the jump on them.

Zrothum
Are you fighting at 50? Or are you trying to dispel characters who have ranks on you and/or might have racial resistances or nice saves. Get to 50. Go dispel someone like Kronit, Thandaeus, Amaedus. You'll begin to love the spell
Kyzarius
Yeah i am at 50. Here is another, sleeping opponent...blind missed three times before taking then curse couldnt get it to stick, same with a few other mal spells. opponent was in first tier wares (mithril, double plated etc) and had warcry...yet miss, miss, miss, miss, miss, miss..... I know there are items that can...boost...your spells...is this the only way to get these things working effectivly. Ever mal i have is mastered... npc_death
Might be a matter of luck. If the character you're fighting is an elf, halfling, or dwarf/duergar, then you're going to have a bit of trouble.
myrek
is your spell mastered? what is your int/wis? i've heard all kinds of rumors of what affects spell casting success.
Fiere
Or half-elf. They're charm resistant too.
Celerity
invoker vs necro (the two most offensive regular classes) = pain for both sides...but the necro has the definite advantage in this one.

You are exactly half right and half wrong. Whomever is prepared and started the fight has a huge advantage. Even in the defense, the invoker will be hard to pop. Guest emp_newb
Charmies can't murder either. Not players anyway, I've tried it. Dey Yea they can, certain ones cannot. but if it still does not work initiate combat and order all rescue
Deykari
Hmm. Interesting. I know ranger pets and necro pets can't open with murder against another player, didn't think Charmies could either. If anything I would expect it to be maybe a Cabal pet or something (blood guard excluded, for obvious reasons). You learn something new everyday. Guest emp_newb
well alot of people make this mistake order all murder that will not work order all murder does work, I have a neccy floating in some mid ranks that I have used it with several times, and I assure you it works. Chayesh
Necro, with zombies, is going to be tough for an invoker who will have a hard time matching the zombies damage output, even with those gawd awful spells. You cannot initiate PK with pets or charmies.
