Flame arrow/icicle are ideal chasing spells. You can -almost- flee lock someone with those as an invoker.

I favor hellstream, for the 1 hit kill of === ==== 200 damage. But then again I rarely dispel, as it's counter productive in 80% of cases as I spam .

Cel is right though, icicle and flame arrow have NO real lag with a fully charged staff making them great for chasing.  They aren't AOE so you cant be led into a disastrous situation with adds either.
