5 CHANGES YOU ABSOLUTELY NEED

I did read everything you wrote. You told Trick to avoid playing perceived power combos, as you often do...which made me laugh.  Your quotes are nowhere in your reply to Trick, so...not sure what you're trying to defend.

@egreirHuh? I'm referring to my original post. And sorry didn't realize elf/drow ninja, avian invoker, avian dk, dwarf warrior, fire zerk, lotus scourge ninja, storm crusader were power combos. And again we can have that conversation about the Storm Sader and various paths and banes of the class but I doubt you're interested in anything more than attempting to mock someone you hardly know. These were only some of my last characters by the way so you can continue to laugh.

And I only suggested against playing these power combos by doing so would help against the ooc from players. To make things clear I believe that if anyone enjoys playing power combos that's there business I'm not against the notion but unfortunately the playerbase has a way of speaking out against it that's not always appropriate.

@f0xx Taking risks? Don't I have two pk logs of Raynald vs Thyrog where I did exactly that? Oh boy do I have stories about that dk of yours lol but I won't fall for you urging me on.  You two hardly know anything about me and you're teaming up on me. You guys are jerks lol. Must be butthurt over something I did in game to you guys.

@tassinvegeta Easy there fella, I'm not mocking you, I just found your post ironic.  You're taking it pretty defensively.  Almost your entire list is cookie cutter and/or power combos, contrary to what you're saying to Trick. Drow ninja? Avian dk? Fire zerk? C'mon....now if you're gonna run halfling warriors,  avian invokers, etc, that's different. I just found it funny you telling someone to stray from these combos like you do, but you don't?

And as to your comments towards f0xx and taking risks...lol...f0xx is the most least risk raking PvPer i can think of, you're right about that!

Well I guess we have different views of what we consider power combos. I think;

Feral ninja (doublesheath) > Drow ninja (death kiss)

Ogre zerk > Fire zerk (especially after lag change)

Demon dk > avian dk

And I did have an avian invoker, Covarrubias. ;)

In addition I only had one ever Ogre warrior (will probably never do so again), never played a bard, a blademaster (even though I think they're much more balanced now), or even a demon dk even though I love dks so I'd say yes I do try  to stray away yet still try to stay competitive. Sorry if I don't see the irony just yet.

This was never even my original point lol. Again I'll tell you I didn't say don't play power combos because I don't play power combos. I'm used to playing competitive games so I can deal with ooc. It was if you play what others feel to be power combos the playerbase will react a certain way. The ooc obviously bothers him so I was generally trying to help.

I would like to see @Celerity as my spokesperson.

Only changes I would like to see is changing the way herbs work.  Too easy to get/smoke/makes any melle a mage IMO.

Also want to see using Mals or Mentals as mages to be fixed so it does not pull insane murder rounds.

As we sojourn through Aabahran exploring the latest changes and examining the effects they have on our world, we will surely discover paths and avenues for both success and failure.

The Test we as a player base were put through seemed an exciting and positive developmental tool, and as a community we came together in a brilliant way. However, sometimes when we seek to negotiate positively, we often sacrifice some demands in order to find compromise. Since the Test, Attitudes here on the forum have been quite amiable.

I have considered that while the Test managed to get some (read as many, Kudos E) changes to be implemented, we may have overlooked a few submissions that in the end may prove more important than those we submitted. In our haste to come to consensus, we were not really given time to develop appropriate arguments for what REALLY needs changes, and what we would like to see changed.

To avoid such an incodent in any future challenges that come down from the heavens, I suggest we create a system for deciding which Ideas or Suggestions make the list to be submitted. Perhaps a sub thread called "quarterly change wish list" for example, where Ideas could be offered and argued ahead of time. I know we have an Idea section already, and its where most of the changes came from. I think we need a file for storing those Ideas that seem both popular and likely to please all players for discussion before implementation.

Finally I challenge the rest of you to submit your Ideas to the Idea section. Some of you think this class seems boring, that class is bland, or even lazy. Think about your character of that class, what would have made the class less boring, bland, or lazy? What kind of skill could have made the class enjoyable/competitive/not overpowered? Some of you do not submit because you feel your Idea is incomplete. Submit it anyway, I find the community here is better at helping flesh things out than I am alone.

May the winds of change in Aabahran blow forever.
