I just can't bring myself to play a character. FL has lost its magic to me and I just can't do it. I've accomplished so much here across a few different characters and there's really not a whole lot left for me to do.

Ilsurik Andarin had been a character I had thought about creating since I played Ekhurift. A true madman type character. A real evil person, but after experiencing the things I've experienced across Ekhurift and Belderon, I don't think theres anything more for me to prove or do.

I've achieved the highest things you can achieve in FL and I've also seen what it brings. And, unfortunately, it brings about an unfathomable amount of negativity, jealousy, and contempt. In the end, its not worth it. I've had an extraordinary amount of fun here across quite a few characters, but I don't think FL fulfills what it once did for me.

I wish good luck and good times to everyone that plays. Keep playing for as long as its fun. Its a game after all..

It sounds like instead of playing for fun you moved on to playing to prove yourself or something?

This game only gives back what you put in, if you think it has lost its magic you should try approach it from a new perspective. Try making a purely RP focused character, join herald and create some magic for others and I assure you it'll find its way back to you.

Anyway, not gonna try convince you to stay. If you do come back one day, try to approach it as a game for fun instead of trying to "achieve the highest things you can".

This is a PK/RP Mud. Ignoring the PK aspect of the game is like going to the cinema to see a movie but ask for the sound to be muted.

That being said, Trick's last three characters have been as RP heavy as possible.

You are talking about two leaders and one Elder (who got to Elder after 3 days of being caballed) who've probably earned a couple thousand of RPs combined.

You are basically telling Chuck Norris to try learning how to fight.

@Trick I believe I know exactly what you mean.  You get to a point and run into a wall of negativity.

You try and establish rp to add more depth to interactions but get put on ignore.  Or just targeted by insult after insult that yes could be considered part of the rp aspect but in the end is just a thin layer of trash talk.

It becomes painfully obvious sometimes that you are just meeting the same player trying to roll a "counter" to you, then they get furiously beligerent when they lose.

In the end you just have to ignore it or move on.  Good luck with whichever you stick with.

Btw I loved your character.  I am sure you know who i play and I found our banter to be a lot of fun.

Would really like to see you play this.

Would really like to see you play that.

Would really like to see you play period.

Remember brother Trick, while some will cry foul, others are cheering.

According to Aesop they carry their faults behind them, and yours before them, so they see your faults easier than their own.

Aabahran needs the spice you bring to the soup, I will hold hope that your heart leads you home.
