Fool_Hardy
Saw three separate misspellings this week that made me laugh. Delooted - diluted Bodom - bottom Bockses - boxes (actual sentence read: The Box Maker is damaging bockses.) So to pluralize where the word ends in x, replace x with cks? Yeah, umm... NO! Sad truth, all of them written by adults on the job. As maintenance I requested three thesauruses. Told my boss I can not fix what they can not spell. Magick
Three thesauruses? So you want them to misspell words and their sinonims (synonyms)? I'd say stick with the dictionaries.
Fool_Hardy
Wall papered the stalls at work with pages from a thesaurus. They spend so much time in there, you would think something would stick. My go to phrase at work, "They ask me to fix things, because I was raised in a town that did not have lead in the water." I actually heard a maintenance supervisor, while describing how to change hydraulic fluid when lacking the proper number of drainage barrels, "Drain a barrel, put a barrel in, and drain the other barrel." I stopped the mechanic in time do not worry.
