I have noticed Sunday afternoons seem strong. I live in Central US time, so you may need to do the math for when that actually is.

My normal play time I see me and maybe 1-2 unwizinised others. Sundays, me and 6-9 unwizinvised others.

Edit: A lot of my time its just Me, and maybe some wizinvised other.

Would be interesting to see some sort of a conjoined effort between players and staff to encourage certain playtimes.

Perhaps at a few selected times of the week, when staff knows they are available, to entice players to be present for the special rewards.

Rewards could be RP points, time toward promotions could be sped up, ect.

Several periods during a week, will provide players all over the world equal opportunity at said rewards.

I am not able to play at work, but am also Central time zone, so I usually log in anywhere between 5-8pm CDT. Weekends are pretty weird right now because I moved to a new city and have a lot of stuff to fit in during the day. Usually I try and log in for at least a little bit in the morning and maybe in the evening, but it's kinda hit or miss.

Sad that forum handles likely with a some desire to be active players, are willing to look through the mirror but refuse to step through the looking glass.

Sometimes I log in for hours.

Sometimes for minutes.

I do not log in to avoid purges, I log in to support others.

sometimes, thought not as often lately.  I play pretty randomly lately.  This last month I was really busy with the baby and travelling, though things have settled down now. 

Evenings I find are the best time, usually 8 to midnight est time.

It's hardly fair to pin a declining pbase on any one player deciding to not play for whatever reason.  I'm part of the problem too - I haven't played since retiring Teldrin, and I still am not willing to commit the time to either bringing him back or start a new character.  Every other player who has left at some point or cut back on their playing or not recommended the game "sufficiently" to friends is equally to blame, as are the various staff members over the years who have failed to retain such players or recruit sufficient new ones.  It's a community failure, not an individual one.

It isn't so much about who gets the blame but more about what is going to be done to address the issues that are presented.

You will lose players to natural attrition and so forth, but if you have players who are not willing to play for some other reason, it should be investigated, especially when the playerbase is so fragile.

For example, if @Pali says he is capable but not wiling to play at this moment, perhaps we should see how we can get him willing to reinvest.

Players can do their part as they want, but the responsibility lies on the staff.

Although I'm not sure if we are even in a decline or still holding steady. We need those cabal number reports over time to track this stuff.

22 active cabal characters (note not players) now.  @Erelei, man what does "active" mean, isn't it logged in in the last X number of days?

Yeah, we need this information at several intervals and plotted out to see trends. It should be done automatically for consistency and accuracy reasons. That was part of the player change request, so @Erelei is probably working behind the scenes on it yet. It will be very helpful once it is running.

See, the problem with happy hours is it would undoubtedly be at 4am in the morning for some of us.

But I can tell you why I've been playing less, the bounty system.

The other week I had 4 characters in the top10 and I'm just sick of fighting Kotrag over and over.

I feel its usually a chain reaction of events. No opposing members to fight against (i.e. Knights/Tribunal/Savant usually), Thus creating too many Nexus/Syndicate who get bored and quit. Then you have Syndicates that get too strong and you can't really avoid them (may or may not be the case today). Wait times and high standards for Cabal inductions, qraces/classes, promotions that I'm constantly hearing. Unpopular changes (which I think is the opposite lately). Hopefully things pick back up soon.
