I'm certainly glad I didn't choose to go to hardcore with this character otherwise I'd be more than half dead by now. I understand we have some blade master experts in the house? This is my first so I'm very open to advice. I have seen some edited PK logs recently that I find a lot more authentic and aesthetically pleasing to the eye to view so I am trying to follow suit. It may take an extra 10 minutes to edit though, but I do it all for you people!

I don't really know what you're meant to do here, just go down swinging I figured. Losing the standard is just an everyday thing when you're 1 active 50 vs 5 active 50s.

I'd also like to add, after looking for some examples of good blade masters through the PK logs, I came across the stats for this Elder of warmaster, and I'd love to know HOW in gods sweet name can you get saves, hit n dam and HP like that without sacrificing one or the other. I don't think I am badly dressed, but I am miles away from having stats even remotely similar.

Pleaaaase shed some light!

Hey, Ivesianna.

Nice to see you standing against two decked foes who hold ranks higher than your own *pokes Knight IMM*.

I played Draethyl by the way. You get stats like that by wise itemisation and investing a lot of RPs into the right things. 

I can talk a lot about blademasters, but it will be nice if you read my essay here first. It's a bit old but still has some valuable advise.

The combo you play is VERY strong when developed and played correctly and has the potential to become disgustingly powerful once you achieve certain ranks inside your cabal and your Qrace. I played one very recently, but left it because goodies are just not for me. You will find neutral Watchers, Syndicates and even Tribunals to be a very huge pain in the ass.

Why I've often done the same as you have here, as in attacked several enemies when they were trying to take the standard, it's sometimes better to keep it to just one foe until you're more powerful. 

You already highlight rescues, try also to avoid eating counters. You did well with the holy weapon vs Cervall, but Cerval and Veri have different vulns so it is harder to fight both of them, apart from the obvious higher difficulty of fighting two players.

Vs lagging classes, and vs melees in general, pump up your ac. You're not where you could be at all, so get some consumables.

I think he wanted a bit more to go on than that.

We need to cull this elitist culture of withholding information, just show him an eq list and tell him what rp edges you got.

Why? He can't do some research on his own? He can't look at the wiki? He can't forum search past blademasters and look for an EQ list? He can't send f0xx a PM and ask? He can't ask the Staff? He can't ask in game?

Its not an elitist culture to expect people to put in effort on their end. You know how f0xx figured out what RP edges to buy? He bought them and found out what they did. You know how f0xx determined what eq to wear? He went out and got it and tried it on.

Get off this baby bird mentality of expecting people to feed you information just because you want us to.

Because the point of this thread ISNT to tell people what advice they should of given.

 

Its about telling the player of Ivesianna how to improve and what people share on that matter is completely up to them.

 

The fact that you have an issue with F0xx is outside of the point of this thread.

 

That’s the reason. The alternative is to just lock the thread so you aren’t squabbling like school girls in the gym locker room vying for a place at the mirror

I'd love for there to be a Knight bard, any kind of help would be appreciated. I'm not sure where my friend Doldagub keeps disappearing off to.

And EQ list would be great, although I'm a goodie so I suppose it may not be relevant being your blade master was a drow. Its early days in this characters life, so I'll keep toying around with different sets.

I did read the essay, there was some useful information in there. I'm not sure you can still dual wield in death weaver though, if I read the article correctly it indicates you can.

Also I keep seeing it mentioned, what are edges or RP edges? Is that referring to the necklaces?

There is a vendor for edges in the same place as the necklaces. I think it's to the south southeast or so in that area.

Edit: I didn't answer your question. Edges are basically things you can buy with RP points that give you special qualities... Like hardened skin that makes physical weapons less useful against you. There are quite a few different ones.

The longer I play this character the more I realise how much of a conundrum neutrals are going to be for me. So far they've been more hostile and speechless than all the evils I've faced so far.

The article Foxx links indicates berserkers are the bane of blade masters and I believe it.
