Prior to this we just set the very basics of ground rules. I decided to go in without sanc whether he used it or not I didn't really care much. I was just curious to see how badly I'd get bent over considering Kelmi is surprisingly strong compared to most Thieves in the past. Had it not been for the fact that my HP is stacked up pretty high compared to my last one as he got me down to ~200hp and that's after herb. So without further ado, I hope you enjoy reading through it. I have a feeling the next time will be far more in his favor though.

Him managing to land poison with his first throw is what probably saved me the most. I'm assuming he wanted the double round for murder, which he got. After herbing he dropped me down almost everything I healed for. Extremely strong character though, and I really enjoy the RP of him.

There are arrows that faerie fire, poison and plague. That should even the healing field for and leave him open to being shot.

I'll definitely have to look for them then. I haven't really explored various types of arrows since a majority of them are all rare that are any good.

Insect swarm will force him to the water where he can't hide either. imo one of their best abilities, if not the best.

That doesnt tell me which arrows they are.

I imagine the point he's trying to make is that the ranger isn't using a fired weapon from the Bowyer skill so he isn't archer. 

I've never had an archer but as far as I know they're the only ones capable of having fire arrows and I don't think you have to use the Bowyer weapon to use the ammunition.

Unless the bowyer skill was enhanced, they bows sucked.

They were changed to not have a duration and be rotdeath, it's possible they got tweaked at the same time.

The anduin bow is better than a bowyer bow from my experiences. However, different types of ammunition have different benefits. Such as hitting more procs like sleep with sleepy ammo.

He's right that it does indeed show which types of arrows are being used. Pretty much all arrows and such that hit for a vuln are rare in nature, if not all, so carrying around a wide array of them would be impossible. The Bone Bow is probably one of the best out there aside from the higher level ones you can get at 50. Bowyer skill in the past seems pretty pointless to me since the bows and anything else created from it are often far worse than the Bone Bow or even the composite bow. The hit/dam from it once it's mastered is beneficial, but to my knowledge you can't create a bow that specifically does any bonus things to it. IE: fast, slow, shoots off two+ arrows at a time. I think the only benefit they really have is if you manage to lose one of the other many bows there are out there and the fact that they're the only ones who can shoot through missile shields (assuming that hasn't been changed anyways). There are arrows out there for pretty much any vulnerability that they don't have to go Archer and most of them are really easy to obtain even prior to level 50, but again, they're going to be rare which takes up a bit of space, but usually well worth it whether an Archer or otherwise. But I also never really tinkered much with it so I could be wrong about it as well.
