Trick
Well, I'm at work, so I can't do it right now lol. But what I CAN do is log it with time stamps on the side when I get the chance.
egreir
I'll do the same. I'm at work too so it'll give you a little bit of an edge
tassinvegeta
Maybe just give the easy quests a try? I think a change went in making this VERY viable compared to solo ranking and is the solution you're looking for. I think this is what Erelei and Ulms are trying to say. Which is what we are currently experimenting with as I am very confident the people saying it's a negligible difference are just talking through their nose. If someone can level a C/C in under 40 minutes as @Manual Labour has said is easy to do, I'd love to see it.

Solo ranking got me 900-1500 exp but took a very long time and nearly got me killed a few times. Then I did one easy quest that took me maybe 2 minutes for 4000 exp. Fool_Hardy
What a waste of time. Easy quest at level 1 gives you 100 exp? And a plasma creature gives you 600exp. 6 easy quests = 4 minutes, one hit against a plasma = 1/8 tic. I can see the trouble is not execution but approach. I ranked nearly every race/class combo in the last year for similar research. With a mage, get to level 3-4 in the arena. (if not good, go kill girls, homeless children, snails and eventually runaways in the sewer.) Then follow the starter quest lines through Tamara's list. Then do the easy to find, easy to accomplish, high experience quests located in or around the cities. With a drow mage at this point you will be 15ish. Approx 1.5 hrs. If you are good, and could not hunt the sewers, then you are sitting about level 11 approx. 1 hr. Now you can get 1000 exp for an easy quest, so its literally six tripsor less to Brambus from Maelbrim for each rank. You can take what like 20 steps in a tic? Mage guilds are near the southern gate. I can not paint you a better picture.

Fool_Hardy
you do realize that you could be level 5 with a single plasma beast, one quest (doable before the plasma beast), and an approved description?

Fool_Hardy
You could always write the description, roll the character, enter the description, dcheck, log out and start the characters career a few days later. Approach is the key, not execution.

Fool_Hardy
Yeah, who can spend all that time in the creation process and not play.... Oh that's right, a fool. By the time I exit the creator my mind is half way finished writing the characters description. So I generally log out while the "picture" is fresh in my mind. A few minutes later my level one character begins life, never having someone see those god awful words when they look at them. You see nothing special about them. Implementor Anume Posted June 17, 2017 Implementor Report Share Posted June 17, 2017 Get a pet and a golem. We even changed the golem scroll to make leveling easier for ccs. Just don't use the scroll in a room with mobs in it as it is an area effect.

So now I am dead with like 10k lost because the golem disappeared when I died. What is worse is that my first character back was a necro... So I knew stone golem caused earthquake! Lloth
Which shopkeepers are able to be attacked, and which aren't, is a method of creating a gold sink (non-attackable) while still allowing players to generate gold quick enough to get through emergency consumable needs (attackable). Without gold sinks, every older character would have billions of gold. That would make it harder for newer characters, as the older characters could just throw down obscene bounties to kick the crap out of any newer character's morale. Plus, you know, the whole Merchant thing... The inflation of gold, though, has gotten out of hand. I would be very interested in reigning it back in, but it's lower on the list for me than a lot of other, more impactful things.

Replace gold with rp points and bounties with edges and you have the current situation though.

There are benefits to playing a character for an extended period of time. Devoting time and energy to a character should come with rewards. Creating a character with a worthwhile RP and longevity is the point of it all, that's why you have to level and train and work for things. It keeps you dedicated and invested instead of just throwing everything away. Literally every game is like this with the exception of sports games... This is not just an FL thing.. Dedication = rewards. How is this an issue of complaint? WTF is wrong with you people..

Unless you want to count non balance altering cosmetics. Okay.. I'm about fed up with this bullshit. Listen. Wade, UC, Egreir or whoever the duck else that is bitching about not getting shit or how its unfair that people that have dedicated time and energy to something, get over your self-entitled, give me everything bulletin. You want to have a character with 600 RP points, a few edges, custom gear, a plot revolving around them, tattoos, cabal leader? THEN WORK FOR IT. I did it. F0xx did it. Anume did it. Kyzarius did it. Ilthrias's player did it and many more. WoW, Destiny, LoL, or any RPG/ACTION/ADVENTURE has a period of progression. You get get skill unlocks, you get better armor, weapons, talents, modifications, characters, higher HP, higher stats, everything.. Hell, even Call of Duty has it. Stop being a whiny, complaining child. This "gimme gimme gimme" attitude is getting ducking old. Don't like FL? Buh bye. I can easily play this game with 3-4 people and have just as much fun without having to read a thread about your whiny pass. Jesus Christ.. its like explaining shins to a five year old. Literally arguing or itching just for the sake of it.

Do you need a tutorial or are you smart enough to work it out yourself? Haha. Oh Wade.. Despite your childish behavior you do bring up decent points every now and again. I don't want to ignore people. What I want is for them to understand that sometimes in life you have to work for things. If it takes me being a little firmer for it to get through your skull, then I can do that. You'll either get over it or leave. Though, I'd rather you stick around. You're actually a decent player when you want to be. But. as of right now your recent role of playing the victim isn't helping anything. Grow up or get out. Plain as that, bud. aaa
I don't recall playing the victim. My initial statement was to show that you can change a few words and Lloths stance is a 180 of itself. Inflation is an okay reason for not wanting some shopkeepers kill able, but claiming that longer lasting characters have more gold so it's unfair to new characters? You can't have that stance on gold, but think Rp points are fine. You've assumed I have a stance on either, I don't. I just wanted to point out the hypocrisy.
