Iyorvin
Ok. So I am the hugest Edmonton Oiler fan around. We are in game 6 of the Stanley Cup finals against Caralina, and the game is about to start. The Preprogramming begins, you know, the one that gets you all pumped for the game. Bam. A bolt of lightning hits the transformer outside our house, which only 2 days earlier, another bolt of lightning JUST missed our house. So power goes out. I run to the nearest bar to watch the game. I get emotional watching them play, so I hate watching it in the bar. So I keep calling home to see if the power is on. After the first the power comes back on at home and I run home and get there in time for the second. Turn it on, settle in, bam, power out again. I just spent 17.50 on two beer + 5$ tip and wasn't about to do it again. So I prayed it came back on. To my dismay, power is out 5 hours. I went and asked the guys fixing it what happened. Get this. The entire city of Calgary, the bolt only knocked out power in ONE BLOCK. Our block. This block also had two transformers, so only HALF the block lost power. 8 houses, and mine was one of them. So I'm FREAKING out, and my roommate is telling me how big of a loser I am. And I'm trying to tell him to picture a GF you've had for 10 years. Now picture if my team loses, and I have to hear about it on the news. It'd be like that GF of ten years just dumped you on the news, or over the phone But we WON! So going to game 7 in N.C., winner takes the cup!
JJJon
But if they lost you wouldn't have had to have watched the crushing defeat.
