Dale
Where can I find the necromancer changes? I swear I looked everywhere
Pali
Fastest way to get a good picture of them would probably be just quickly roll one and check the help files.
Tantangel
There isn't a direct change stating what they had and what they gained in just a single post. If you click on the changes section though you'll find that certain spells were tweaked to make them less stronger than they were initially after their changes. But rolling one and looking at their help files like @Pali states, would be far more beneficial. The hardest choice is their selections though. Many seem far more worthy than others, but I would highly suggest that if you're content playing one, that you think a great deal about which selections you go with. f0xx
They can create their monsters now, who depend on the path you've chosen, and since we are not allowed to discuss selectables, you'll have to roll one to check them for yourself. Dale
Eh that'll be a while yet. I don't even have a personal laptop right now

Implementor Anume Posted August 7, 2017 Implementor Report Share Posted August 7, 2017 Nobody ever assumed it was a secret to say there are three ranger paths, one with an extra pet, one with special arrows and one who can track. I really wonder why you guys think you can't do the same with necros now. To clarify: talking about paths is perfectly fine. It's a matter of how much into detail you go. Let the players figure out some of the interesting fun stuff themselves or let them actually ask about it without spoonfeeding them / spoilering everything from the start. So, again, feel free to give an outline, feel free to discuss some strengths and weaknesses, but don't go into the code-deep detail of what works how. Kyzarius
lol i was about to say, i dont recall any such restriction. Just dont spoil the game..
Fool_Hardy
I like the negative path. I found it to work quite well with the current numbers in the game. Many people choose the path that claims its best against melee. Used properly, I am o the opinion that negative is best against almost anyone. The power of the negative path will aid you against ALL opponents. Just my 2 cents.
mya
Perhaps a Necro guide would help solve this. @Kyzarius New necros are insanely powerful and incredibly weak. They are like a glass Christmas ball dancing enchanted steel spiked balls. They lost their most of their pet lag (at least on mine), but gained many new things. I love the freaking mummy. It's so lovable to have a pet that instead of just being there to kill others, actually protects you. And it's a MUMMY!!!! Some of the pets can actually pass door. You still have Powerword kill, but now you have powerword Stun and powerword Fear. One of the paths, links acid blast and pet attacks with AC decreasing debuf. It's amazing. The skeleton/zombie path deals physical damage, but you have a spell that allows the pets to exploit any vuln of the opponent. So you can bypass Giants. The other paths suffer from magic mostly damage, a bad thing vs invokers. There is a pet that casts flamestrike, while attacking. It's amazing. Squids are no longer the most powerful Necros , and a H-drow can do amazingly against mobs. It makes getting EQ so fast. They pump so much damage, it's insane. I think they Necros, went from being a labor intensive pokemon game, to a static loaded class. Where you get all your power up front, and cannot make it grow (EQ only helps your defence, not offence), and thus are totally skill driven. The total antithesis of meeles. Dale
I like the concept. I do enjoy the necro class but only really played one for a lich. Maybe I'll give that a try.
