Solar mace typically isn't ever in though when you have 2+ Fire Giants at 50 that are active. They seem to love the hell out of it, and I snagged one a few weeks back, but chose other more important weapons over it in the end. Link to comment

I'd double grip the solar mace and open with a charge. Execute for the armageddon smash then follow up with a dirt kick if it didn't proc from Gladiator skills. Kotrag would flee at this point and knowing the player, he would vanish and run away, but if he didn't I'd chase with charge, then rage/bodyslam while he is getting eaten alive by a fiery weapon he doesn't know and armageddon smash is doing massive damage plus stunning him.
