I wasn't here

Pssst... I know I was supposed to have left in glory or in shame, but I was lurking and stopped by to check in.

Some personal news - defended my dissertation today and passed. Feeling pretty good about it. Been a long time coming.

Might roll a character to celebrate.

But you didn't hear it from me.

That sounds like a lot of work, aren't there like 93 official genders now?

63 to date as far as I know. Genders themselves would be traditional, it's essentially the birth of the term 'gender roles' in 1955, but it would also cover them as seen from ancient civilization. My belief is that by the time 2100 actually hits, the term 'gender role' in general will have no meaning simply because of how rapidly it has been changing over time. Men historically have been shown to have few feelings, emotionally or otherwise, which as time goes on, we are beginning to see this change. Where as Women, who historically have been seen to be more emotional and nurturing, are slowly gaining a larger role in society. This includes having mothers working and we now have stay at home dads, women who choose a career over families, and women also being allowed to join the military now. I expect it to be around 120 pages long or more depending on the sourcing and how much I actually go off on a tangent with it. I'm oddly looking forward to it though.

It was a much more diminished capacity prior though. It helped push through transgendered people to be allowed to join, but with their issues it made sense to me that Trump wouldn't want them in the military outside of the ones he stated. It depends on how you ultimately look at that though when speaking about women and the military in a general sense.
