Ehh, regardless of if I’m playing or not, I always refer people to this game. I love FL, it was a great part of my childhood and I’ve made some lifelong friends here. Sorry I didn’t really answer your question but that was by design.

I concur  message is authentic.  I would like to point out here that I played my first several years on straight up telnet.  I think if we had a resources page that directly linked to individual clients, maybe with a little blurb about the features of each (I swear SimpleMU is more calming for me to look at, even if my tick timer is broken, compared to zmud with a functional timer.  I am a weird person...) to slice google out of our world domination plans?   I know at one point, TB sent me a fully hooked up zmud with timers/prompts etc.  I don't know if that would be well beyond the realm of possibility, but maybe a better than bare bones set up with a tick timer, a useful setmyprompt flavored alias with a good prompt or something.

Actually, I also used neon green on black. Definitely my favorite combination for MUDding. The thing that amazes me about F0xx's picture is that she is playing on a tiny screen in a foreign language. English was the #1 thing that stopped my referrals (bad enough being a foreign language, but also text only). Followed closely by the emphasis on PK requiring twitchy skills. Text and twitchy is a hard combination to sell.

The last part is why often my own referrals would get ignored.  When I would tell my friends of the RP they could enjoy and the PK, it is the FIRST question they ask.  Twitch mechanics are hard to sell to anyone who does not like FPS games or consoles.
