captivates you while her eyes keep an unwavering vigil in an almost
unnatural manner.  Her elven heritage is prominent in her regalia as well as
in many of her features, none more so than her face.  Gleaming swirls of
sapphire blue curl softly within her cornea like a perfectly synchronized
whirlpool, though devoid of any semblance of a waves crest.  Framing her
eyes are strong, but unusually high cheek bones which gives her a steely or
hardened look.  She has lengthy bladed eyebrows that position themselves
just below her neatly trimmed fringe while the majority of her mithril
coloured hair falls either side of her head, catching the wind as it spirals
about her figure.  

On her shoulders she a thinly layered set of shoulder plates that create the
illusion her upper body is far more broad that it really is.  Flailing in
the wind behind her is a darkened navy cloak that falls behind her past her
knees.  A polished breastplate is worn to cover her upper torso only, thus
leaving her well-toned stomach exposed.  A light glimmer draws your
attention to her bully button in which that is pierced by a small silver
charm.  The arms of this women that appear from under her shoulder armour is
lightly covered in a lustrous chainmail right down to her wrists.  Emerging
from underneath her armoured wrists is a pair of leather combat gloves that
are well fitted to her hands.  

Strapped tightly about her fragile waist is a whitened steel belt with two
sheaths attached on either side of her hips.  Each of the two sheaths are
occupied by two short swords.  The hilt of each blade has a violet ink
stained cloth wrapped numerous times around, with the excess hanging by the
exposed spiked pommel.  Attached securely to her belt is a shining mithril
girth which covers half her thighs.  Worn as a second skin is a tightened
white leather pair of leggings which appear from underneath her girth.  Her
boots are made of camel hide that appear moulded to her figure, which cover
just beneath her knees.  Embodied within the shaft of her boots just above
the vamp is several elvish designs, creating the image of expanding tree,
with a lot of emphasization of its leaves.  
Ivesianna currently holds the title of Master Questor of Aabahran.

When an Inductee beats a Leader one on one in a duel, as embarrassing as it is for the Leader, I think it merits a promotion to M.

The same character ALMOST beat the Elder earlier, and showed courage by taking on one of the toughest enemies around.

I am sure the reasons behind it all are legit. As I said, I was just asking for future reference, as the whole E/L promoting has been a little shrouded in mistery to me ever since it was introduced.

Back on topic - a nice log. Blm vs ranger is an uphil battle for the ranger. Especially if the blm is Ivesianna. And the ranger is a beastmaster. The lack of versatility in initiating attack, leaves the ranger with either opening with a murder eating counter dmg, or opening insect, lagging himself for 2 rounds and eating crits when dirt kicking has been predicted.

I have also noticed a werebeasts overall pluses on being a beastmaster. Like the extra hp you heal with your herbs...mammoth breaking his legs jumping infront of you all the time and behemoth procing more frequently and succsesfully. Guess its a beastman thing.

It's a pretty tough fight for even me, as the blm for a few reasons.

A ranger has knowledge of three offensive weapons like axe, flail and whip which I do not know. They are able to use thunderstorm which is difficult to deal with, and if I have to fight on their terms, that will destroy me every time.

I used to deal with other rangers with a polearm, when I had the strength to use the Tower Shield, but now that is not possible, so in order to avoid arrows,  I have to go kyousaken which means I cannot disarm weapons so easily by using ironarm. And insect swarm is a good opener, maybe the only opener unless I don't have predict up, but that tends to be often. And predict falls when I charge and critical strike, so more observant players will capitalise on this but it can be risky, especially if I flee, chances are, predict is back up. A fireblind would be pretty devastating with beast rescues.

Badgers seem to be very hard to hit, and that quick claw attack seems to garner some nice damage to wear people down. I reckon with some more cabal abilities and some eq upgrades, Gannikus will be very difficult to deal with, whoever they face.
