Well that tactic is powerful and it would've worked again but you were coming back in too quickly before the air elemental's round starts. What I should do is flee alot sooner (when he rages I guess), move around more, not catch any raged murder rounds, etc. I feel like the Weapon Resistance from DI did a lot less than I'm expecting it to. I guess my main issue with WMs is that I feel forced to engage despite knowing I'm at an uphill battle from round 1. Just letting them take my standard would remove age, temporal storm, and reverse time, all of which are really important to my pk performance. At least in this battle I can recognize the mistakes I did. I was ill prepared and should not have tried to rely on the cabal guardian. Decimus is a monster, although I'd much rather fight him than Danpher. The Warmasters just have a strong lineup. Savants need a new spell to prevent weapon and shield cleaving, a mages defensive gimping at (105 prof) is enough to have them eat multitudes of melee attacks per round anyways, why cant the astral masters of time and space find a way to prevent weapons from breaking? Its complete horsepoop in my humble opinion, burnproof weapons should be (harder to cleave instead of only repairable) while savants should get a useable spell to prevent breakage entirely. OR have a purchasable non destroyable weapon in their shop. Link to comment

I don't think I have ever failed more than 1 in a real pvp situation. The improvements to eq, the plus skill proficiency eq, and the abundance of heavy 2 handed weapons means it almost never fails (5%>). Im gonna be submitting my logs as evidence once I get them all edited up properly. I would like to see maybe cleaving a burnproof only disarms, or disarms + does some minor damage that CAN break it after multiple successes. As it stands now fighting me is too expensive for anyone who isn't just after a friendly duel. You either spend hundreds of cp, then piles of gold, or you have to get new weapons constantly. I don't think you can make a weapon burnproof indefinitely though, I think it's limited to 20 IG days, which seems to follow only the progress of the IG timer and not a timer on your actual character. The reason I say this is I've made weapons burnproof in the past and it didn't remain only to log off soon after another instance of adding the burnproof flag to see that it was no longer burnproof after logging back in a day later. Not sure if that's intentional or not, but it definitely sucks. @Unknown Criminal I have to agree on this. With the change to defenses and the all around boost to Melee in general, it basically only made mages playable to select players to be able to come out on top consistently. That's just my opinion though as I know a lot of other people would say the opposite. The downside is that those saying the opposite are typically the same people that it works for in their benefit and not the average player. Kind of like taking Borderlands 2 and toning down some key weapons/armor because 300 people of millions could pretty much dominate with them, when others were still trying to figure out how in the hell they were doing it. There are so many other interactions that could be coded for fury cleave encountering a burnoroof weapon. As it is right now it's just anti fun. If it were to remain the same I would propose they add more repair shops and take away the bloody restriction to enter. Link to comment

Tiroq Anonymous poster hash: b1054...300 That's not a bad idea, really. The force behind the fury zerks cleave is so strong that it rips your enemy's weapon from their hand, if burnproof. Minister is great for attrition and should not be completely forgo'ed, however those affects will not be felt until the battle is more drawn out. Link to comment

It's not like breaking armor down removes the stats for it from what I noticed via identifying it after each time I repaired it, so until it breaks completely, it makes it rather pointless to repair it after just a little bit of damage. If it were changed to actually lower stats at each step, it would probably be used well before it became broken and unusable. Sure that means I'd only have to repair it once to become wearable again, but it's a bit odd for me at least to leave it with any kind of damage. Link to comment

Stats on the item won't change, but the effect to your score will. Link to comment

Says every other pvp game on the planet. The mean output was 10% of her life a round. It spikes to 20% at times Given maybe 7 to 10 rounds, that's it without fleeing. She should be able to count on debuffs. Like calm. And anything else. Why do we get offense from melee giants that can do that. But if a casters spell works to well its nerfed. Link to comment

I never really considered using calm because I figured at that point he just runs away and then we start over from the start again (perhaps I'm mistaken in my reasoning here, might try it another time). Like one of my first fights as a Savant, I think I even tried to curse him, but then never really saw the benefit of it — ended up wasting tons of rounds for a minor saves and hitroll debuff. I'm kinda curious whether the resistances from the Discord DI actually apply or not. This wasn't the first time where I felt like having the resistance up (instead of steel wall) still made me take same damage nouns as from before. Personally, I don't feel like it's the difficulty of landing spells that's making for extremely one-sided battles, but the sheer damage output against a class that's traditionally considered very defensive (clerics). Even if I break off and cure critical 4-5 times, I might lose all the health I regained in a single murder round. I'm trying to improve though. Calm was changed for this very reason. What I really don't understand, how are powerful crowd control debuffs supposed to easily land on those prepared for them? -70 -80 saves. If he doesn't and runs away like you're implying, you can recover your standard for free. If you already have your standard and this situation comes up, you can take standard and your next fight with him will be MUCH easier for you. I'm not saying it's just that simple, but using the the logic that calm is not worth the effort because he will run away is not exactly sound, since causing them to run away is LARGELY preferable to getting thrashed again and can net you some big advantages.
