Malchaeius
Well, after taking some time to reflect, I have found that my time perusing the forums is beginning to turn me into something that I know I am not - A very negative person. The combination of 160+ hours on test port fixing a plethora of typos and programs, working on incoming areas and RP plots, along with the 120+ hours on main working behind the scenes has resulted in some exhaustion. This exhaustion is not a bad thing, it feels great to accomplish tasks. I, along with the other members of the staff, love to work hard for this MUD. The problem for me is when I log on to the forum after all, or in the middle of, all that work and watch certain members of the community interact: From petty bickering, constant negative attitudes, flaming, flamebaiting, arrogance, disregarding of the rules, abuse of the shout outs forum, and more, exhaustion quickly turns into agitation. Blood pressure rises. I then find myself becoming more sardonic. Thus, in wanting to retain my air of proffessionalism, as well making better use of my time, I will follow in the footsteps of Virigoth. I will be dedicating most of my "forum time" to Test Port and Main Port and any other way I can think of bettering the MUD. Therefore, I will be refraining from reading the majority of the forum outside of the Newbie Section, Ideas and Suggestions, pertinent Shout Outs, and the Prayer Forum. If there is anything that specifically needs to be brought to my attention, the Prayer Forum is of course your most reliable outlet, followed by PMs, Emails, and In Game notes. -M-
mya
I understand you. You already have been very suportive reagarding the forums, i remeber the old foruns being nucked several times. As always when several people join and play they thend to behave as normal humans do, just look at children. You cant have more than 2 of them togueder before all hell breaks lose and you start to gain white hair on your head. If i was you i would take a week cool down time and just rest or do the stuff you like. After all you got the other imms to look out for the "kids". Anyway Thank you Malchaeius. Hell my keyboard just broke, half the keys dont work.

Icor
That's cool, actually. I'd rather hear that the staff enjoy what they do rather than hear that they somehow feel ... obligated. I makes for a better environment in game and out.

English lad
I would just like the player base to take a moment to think about this.... Yes Malch has...'followed in the footsteps of Virigoth'....Yes hopefully it will increase his enjoyment, and therefore his productivity in the mud. That said..why does he feel he has to make this step...Because of a VERY small...VERY loud minority who feel the need to bitch and complain about everything and anything they don't like. I refuse to name names, that isn't my game, and I'm not a judgemental person..but here it is folks - We know that the Playerbase has driven away Imms - Imps - hell virtually a whole staff - before. Lets all take a hard look at ourselves and wonder....'Hmmm could I actually be one of these people?'
