 Panek took a visit to his shop the other day and got very sad that no one even goes by there anymore, I expected someone to take advantage of his good name and make some profit off it by now.  

Man, I wonder how Manek would feel about this.  Might have to do something about it.

Any attempts to do anything about it should have been done by both of them. Instead they came in hard and fast then left without so much as a whisper afterwards. They could've made it extremely interesting and added a MOB with some basic items, but I'm not sure what all they wanted in there. And considering what I've also offered in use of my RP points, I haven't even heard back whether it could definitely go in or if other tweaks are needed to have it implemented into the game. I'd honestly rather just have a detailed help file on RP rooms and MOBs of what we can and cannot have so that it's actually implemented quickly and not so slowly that it becomes disheartening. The RP points for the most part outside of two edges and the necklace, I'm starting to think it's not worth it at all beyond that point. They're always placed kind of out of the way of the normal flow of things too, so it's difficult to even try to make them a destination place too. The only one that I really like is the one in Fort Blackwatch because it's the only food shop that sells things really late and it fills you up quickly. Assuming I ran out of milk and need it now at least.

Tamara in Maelbrim is open 24 hours and usually doesn't take more than three muffins to fill yourself.

The Psi who had a personalized room has one in there I think 1 north and 1 west of the center village. I've never gone to Tamara for food outside of the muffin needed at least. I just try to make my way to Ralardia as early as possible to load up on milk and stash it in a bag so I can have food on the go.

I left a great many ideas that I brought up for mobs and items, hardly got responses.  And I put over 1000 hours in a good four or five months and trust me enough content in text to create a huge shared universe worth of backstory and ideas but basically got left in the dark.  Don't blame oanek for vanishing, blame the imms diminished interest in my ideas. That's the reason I quit him outside the other bs reason.  But I'm kind of butt hurt that absolutely nothing was added there, but I guess I wasn't all that influential

I've been left in the dark as well plenty of times and sure it sucks and is stupid overall, but for every one of your characters doing that, someone else is probably doing the same with three other characters a piece. I'd be curious to know what the bs reason was, but playing that much in that short of a time will burn anyone out. You should probably try not focusing so much on a single character and more focus on what you find enjoyable without the need or requirement of having any Immortal interactions. Influence can happen in many ways, and Panek had a good foundation for RP but was also prone to tripping over other issues. I seldom ever saw Manek about in the game a majority of the time, so I wasn't ever sure what his angle was completely though.

The imms try to accommodate all of these interactive plots and building, yet they are only so many of them. And they are volunteers "playing" a game too.  

I personally keep my expectations within what I expect is doable.  A custom room, maybe a mob, but the rest is up to me to do/carry out.  So if I submit something, and it doesn't happen, meh, its expected.  And not a negative at all, just the nature of the beast.

I tried to focus on another character.  I was forced to delete because I bought a broken Terminator off Manek and Manek happened to aquire it while with panek.  So I got to choose who I would delete.  I wanted to delete panek and then half the staff wanted to talk it out and begged me not to quit, maybe not beg but for lack of a better word.  So I got the feeling that they didn't want me to play anything else.  And tbh all the itch I had to play again is basically gone after taking a break stroll in game and in forum.  

And while some of you may think, oh well that is cheating.  Go back and imagine then hiw much of your eq you got from panek or someone on a trip with him then tell me how I'm supposed to use anything outside of cabal eq without being involved with panek.  I had to solo gear with my fg zerk because no one would go without panek.  How fucked is that? Sorry if you wanna go on a trip get on your other character so I feel more confident basically.  So in the current meta of staff and rules I guess I should probably be banned.

Pffbbtt...Panek got me killed at least 3 times. I would go without Panek before going with him.

I died about three times going on trips with him as well on a single character. Since I recognized the two characters being familiar , I'd purposely say I wouldn't go on those trips, but I honestly don't like going to Gear or any out of the way areas if it's going to be just two people. I've done it with a Warrior and a Paladin easily, a Warrior and Crusader combo pretty easily, and a few other combinations, but I absolutely hate going when there's nothing to gain from it and I already do not care for specific characters going. I liked Panek in certain aspects, and disliked him for others, but that was due to learning things about him both via him and other characters.

In that situation I could see it as a form of cheating if you logged off Panek and logged in nearly immediately (within an hour or two) of him gaining it if you didn't already have them yourself. If you could have gone through nearly as easily on your other character to gain it, you probably should've just gone as that character. I think the main reason people didn't want to go without Panek is because it was far more quicker to do it with him than the FG Zerk due to pets and the ability to put things to sleep if need be. I recall you hitting 50 and immediately wanting to hit all those same places Panek would frequent, and it's true you did help dress a lot of people in that time. People would've dressed themselves just as easily though, they just took advantage of that persona and character you portrayed. People knew they'd get things for free by just joining the Cartel or by going to the Nexus because you personally did that. I had a level 30 and was hoping to get Undead at some point even and I was decked out by both of you. I kind of lost interest though because I was being hand fed through bias and I dropped the character before rolling something else.

Should you have been banned for what happened? You would've if it were 10+ years ago in a heartbeat without any kind of chance of being forgiven. I had to fall on my own sword once after trying to convey how my character had been hacked and was told that it was impossible to hack into a game  like this. I happened to have given my password to someone else that I used for my forum access to the unofficial forum that I used for the game as well so I had to just say that I gave the character away and had my character condeathed that had nothing to do with any of it because I deleted my more successful character a couple days prior. I stopped playing for 2 years at that point because it was bullshit. In your situation you kind of did it yourself. You basically got the treatment you deserved for a bad lapse of judgement that you didn't see as an issue. That was how I viewed it too until I realized that had I not given the password away then for the forum, I would've never had the issue to begin with. A lot of things could've gone differently for both you and I in either situation though.

I'll assume you did exactly what I did though, which is get so upset/pissed off about it that you probably could've gone on with either character or even created something new to try and get you back into the game. I myself contemplated it and tried it, but I ultimately lost all interest in the game as well. Found myself taking an extended break, and after other issues that were far larger in my life came about later on, they ended up forcing other breaks as well that I've taken. Honestly anymore though, you could bounce back easily from minor issues like that whether you agree with the decisions or not. Panek still had a lot of life left in him, but you ultimately gave it up. Like almost immediately after getting Leader. Sometimes you have to roll with the punches and hope for the best. Giving up isn't something we can afford to do in RL, it shouldn't be something we can afford to IG when it comes to milestone characters. He had a lot going for him and potentially still can going forward. The choice is up to you on whether you want to pick him up again or not though.
