Seemingly sleek blackish plum-colored hair cascades down jus
t past the
midpoint of her shoulders.  Thick waves of hair outline a sharp featured
face, occasionally allowing a glimpse of delicately pointed ears to protrude
from within the nightly cascade.  Large, almond-shaped black eyes peek from
rogue wisps of hair and within their depths lay a hidden benevolence.  High
cheekbones caress a slender, smooth face, pulling at the ends of her thin,
crimson lips into a semi-permanent grin.  A petite, upturned nose finishes
her perky visage.  Bearing dark bluish hued skin, her calm cheeks don a
pair of perfectly symmetric markings, both of a dark fuchsia.  They stretch
from just above each brow straight down nearly perfectly with her lips.

Long limbs attach to a lithe frame lending a more masculine suggestiveness
to her otherwise feminine body.  Thin hips also lend to the deception.  Her
slight build, although delicate, still possesses marvelous curves associated
with a young girl.  This combined with her demeanor and manner of dress add
to her attractiveness.

A slightly tight-fitting set of leather fits the intricate curves of her
youthful frame.  Upon each shoulder she dons thin portions of leather
adhered by small rivets giving the utmost flexibility.  From shoulder to
waist, two thin straps latch on a holster to the midpoint of her back.
Exquisitely designed embossed leather bracers are worn upon each of her
slender wrists, grasping a pair of short razor shard blades.  A small belt
is worn about her waist carrying a pair of small leather bags.  Leather
pants corseted with fashioned boots finishes her dress.  A sense of
serenity is felt around her.

A blast learning how to play BLM again. Thank you to everyone. Just can't do it anymore. Yes, I can't play in this kind of environment. Yeah, sure I can sit and write tons of notes/journals. But at the end of the day, RP isn't satisfying to me unless im rping with real ppl. and that is just a massive lacking to the game right now. I have no doubt things will pick up soon. And I will then be back with something new and refreshing.

Alot of shoutouts to alot of ppl.

Agmeel I hate you because I never got a kill on you and you destroyed me too many times to count lol.

Bhesark, keep at it man. Loved the char.

Everyone else, keep being your awesome selves.

I'll be back soon enough.

Personally I find it weird that imms are Mia ic wise.  Then when you try to find them, or call to them, or whatever...nothing comes of it.  To the point of trashing the in game lore...lore you as a player build characters around to find it discarded.

Ulmusdorn being...gone. and rygothran taking over was so frustrating and weird.  I feel like my character at the time was robbed of the nature side of FL completely.  I had constructed a story set to be alive in the lore, to be a part of what I learned the nature aspect of FL to be, and in the end it was so uphill and everything was so arbitrarily ruined I ended up abandoning Melial much more easier than I would of otherwise.

I felt thrust into some pseudo uncomfortable space to grow in where if you resisted the sacralige you were given ic consequences.  The greed mythos was drastically misplaced.  I was always lamenting things, but with no real way to fix it.  To the point that it was a chore to login because the rp was just one frustration after another.  Then you would have some global things happen, or some imm emoting... but it was always short lived with no real conclusion or evolution.

I get mixing things up a bit, but in this case to much was just cast aside.  It was like nature religion is closed right now, unlucky you for rolling something conducive to it.

Now the individual stuff, rygothran by himself, the rp, that was spot on.  So dont het me wrong, I love rygothran as a character.  The execution though left me at a loss.  That part of the game became a dead end in my opinion. Maybe to be returned to later when the nature imm decides to actually play.

All my opinion, and in truth not meant to personally degrade anyone.  But I feel the entire locked away thing is just frustrating from a player perspective.  Give us benevolent l, give us vengeful, or like Anume full of cold wrath.  But absent? I'm sorry it just doesn't work.

Ahlana was a beast man.

I second the whole, where the fuck is the nature Imm thing.

Bhesark himself wrote notes asking for the treant to chime in at least once trying to create an rp within watcher. All that was gained was more silence. Watcher by far is my favorite cabal but every time I roll into it it's a snooze fest. Inactive Imm in watcher makes it by far the most stale cabal IG

I know some IMMs are trying to watch over multiple cabals, idk if that's the case here but it does suck to get so hyped up on yourself with your new character and all this RP idea you've got and get to 50 and it's like just RPing with yourself basically.

idk what the answer is.   i honestly feel like we need more RP staff.  Go recruit imms off TMS or something idk.  I'd love to just be a lvl 54 somewhere creating in-game environment for people, dont care if its 2 or 20 people online.  have imm vs imm controversies that players can join in on, etc.

idk.  i just miss my game :(

We could most likely have a very long conversation about my stint over Watcher. I understand the frustrations with that situation and some of the things you feel about I agree with but others I disagree with. The point was to bring a fun challenge but it had the opposite effect that was intended. I actually learned a lot from the experience.

Like players, immortals go on hiatus as well for various reasons. Obviously no one wants an immortal to disappear but what do you propose as an alternative for an immortal to do other than get "locked" away while on hiatus? The slack needs to be picked up somehow but that ultimately stretches everyone thin on all fronts. That is just the unfortunate reality of it.

I feel like Warder and Stalker should be separated, kinda how Merchant and Syndicate are. With Warder being able to 'watch over' forests and brand people enemies of nature. And with Stalker getting a useful skill to be able to locate there prey. Maybe even mesh them into the bounty system. Would make being neutral and in Watcher much more exciting and with more things to do in the absence of imms. Other cabals can survive without imm interaction, not so much Watcher in there current state.

Honestly I prefer a Cabal with no Imm sometimes. WIthout a visible Imm, you get to enjoy some of the finer things in the game like self reign so that you don't have to adhere to their RP versus your own. That honestly clears up a lot of the issues with having the random Imm being assigned to the Cabal that doesn't seem to fit. I myself saw Rygothran in charge of Watchers and thought how in the hell does that work considering he's the Imm of Greed and Guile. The RP for Rygothran in general is top notch and it's understandable. His fast ascension to 55 probably had a lot to do with him spending mass amounts of time both RPing with other players, completing tasks assigned, and also having to bounce between Cabals to help when another Imm needs to take a break.

The breaks could be filled easily enough though by the temporary use of Cabal Leaders/Elders so an Imm can take a week or month long vacation away from FL. That ensures people are able to be allowed in, promoted, and depending on the player in charge, results in a lot of special ways to let people in that an Imm would otherwise never have thought of or it even going against  what the past "norm" of it was. IE: no kills to get into Nexus when the player base has shrunk again it seems. This happens, but I doubt it ever really happened prior to these changes. I know that getting those positions should be through hard work and dedication, but when a Cabal is empty and there's no other choice, that's probably the easiest way to go without stretching other Imms so thin. Spying can still be done by other Imms just in case to ensure that the person isn't just outright abusing the system, but I don't think I've really seen too many people willing to abuse the game overall either now that we've shrunk.

What people are failing to mention about Watcher though is that despite the fact that Ulmusdorn is "missing", life is still going on inside of it. I enjoy most of my interactions with Rygothran IG except for with one character and that is because the dynamic is different with other characters versus that one. I can never really guess what's coming next in any situation though which makes it interesting overall. You do not need an Imm to be there and visible for a Cabal. You still get RP points for sending journals and scrolls and the likes, and there wasn't even once where I thought, "Well, I'm alone and there's no point in going further because I need interaction with my Imm." The only thing that ever irked me was sending the notes  and never really seeing the results of them. Yeah, I got the reward, but sometimes the RP point awards are more fickle to me than the actual points of such scrolls. That was the only annoying part. You would get scrolls from time to time wanting progress to be made, and you either responded to them and got an answer within a few days, or you didn't do anything and ignored it resulting in demotions when only one person would contribute.

I can see where Kyzarius is going with his thread because the angle Watcher made during that time seemed very unWatcher like overall. BUT, what came of it added to the game that wasn't there before.  IE: the green plague which is still about, but how many people have attempted to try and remove this entirely? Berston caused a new spread, but it's like that one point is on stand still currently. Being an Imm to RP with players would be nice, since you see things from a different perspective and how badass would it be to get Echo or throw out RP specific happenings that are unique to your character? You don't need to have a fulfilling RP session with your Cabal Imm, you want it. I'd rather have an RP encounter with a different Imm in part because it pushes you beyond your point of comfort (which is probably what it felt like to some when Rygothran was in charge of Watcher). If you're high enough level in your clan you can also see when your Cabal Imm last logged on. Ulmusdorn was on fairly frequently, and watching one sect of people in Watcher wasn't his only task. He also approved a lot of other things along with reading RP logs to give people points for them. For every 1 high RP character there's probably about 10 more who submit a log to get RP points that can often times be extremely lengthy and time consuming to read. I don't imagine that is very easy or fast to go through either. I've seen people sit and RP for hours, and that shit is not only boring to go over, it takes forever to go through all of it even just editing. Thankfully there's replay command, but trust me, it cuts off after a certain point still so you have to go back and copy/paste what didn't get caught. In this case you have to pick and choose your battles of what you'd like from them because if I had to sit and read a log from the player of Obayana, I'd probably just use that material so I can go to bed without sleeping pills for once.

Add in the multiple characters you play and how many have a decent RP background, and you're looking at easily a few hours of reading a day if it were forced on a single person. RP takes a lot of time and attention to go through those logs. Sometimes I don't even read a PK log because @egreir keeps posting them with a ton of annoying spam commands and movement. No one cares you've scanned 14 times looking for a person you're in Elium with. Give me the good shit and get on with it. (Partial jab, because sometimes I don't mind it, but other times I really just end up skipping to the end to see who won if I have to go through 10 more pg-down prompts without seeing any combat still.) If people require a Cabal Imm to be chiming in just to make it a more enjoyable experience, you're playing the game wrong. Your experience should be enjoyed based on the people you yourself interact with and not just a single individual because you feel like it's required. Sure it may suck ass sometimes, but you got promoted extremely quickly, you've got the PK to back it up (if applicable), your character has solid RP, and you have the ability to do as you please essentially within hard coded limits and rules? I don't really see a downside to that. Now if you're in a Cabal and you've been stuck at V for a while, and there's no Cabal Imm at least stating somewhere IG or on the Forum as to the requirements to be promoted to at least a Trusted level, that's when things are stale. That is the reason people will decide not to play that character anymore. A player can only go on for so long with a character that becomes stagnant just because you're not sure what it is you're doing good/bad and what you can or can't do in order to get that promotion. And if all else fails, there is a Prayer Forum. It's the most amazing thing you have access to. If a Cabal Imm is on hiatus, and you post there, chances are they'll log into the forum when they have a spare moment, if it's not long enough to actually get into the game and play. If they see a post about their Cabal, they typically chime in on the topic if it's anything they can do to remedy the situation at hand.

I am sure we can agree to disagree on several things.

I honestly am excited to hear that all of that became a social experiment of sorts with takeaways on both sides and on to other stories.

Ahlana was awesome, we tangled a bit.  Had some great rp, and boy did you hurt.  We had a rather intense bout or two.  The Hunter was not prepared at first.  But learned the lesson, serving their time. 😎

That's somewhat offensive. I'm around often.

I'll tell you what - I'll just become visible. Easier all round.
