Bad weapon choice for a lot of reasons.  You've done fairly well in the past but you were softened up a bit this go around due to recent events.  PS: I was fully prepped minis that chant

I could have used the bardiche but thats even less offensive with less chance to cleave even with the added proficiency. Basically the skills I used to open combat all missed while everything you did minus that shin strike all landed, there really isnt much more that could have been done. I would have liked to have hit you at least a couple times, I did notice I hit you once, 95dr and all I got for my money was a MUTILATE, lol.

The night was a blast, lots of fights going on

If you chose path of Fury, doesn't cleaving weapons work far better while you double grip your weapon anyways? I've used the bardiche before against Devastation berserkers and won  because of its defense and the offensive output you have shouldn't significantly weaken you either. You can also get hasted if that is your worry so that you can go in with as much offensive as possible and still be pretty defensive. As a Storm Crusader he probably has some really good AC and hit/dam, so you're going to miss him a lot too even with your hit/dam being that high. You may have at least lasted longer, and you probably could've thrown in a good haymaker or two as well. Otherwise I'd say to start out your assault early, but don't keep spamming in commands if he's locking you down either. Enter a command and wait for it to go through. If after the first round he's still pushing you too hard or significantly out striking you, run away, reformulate a plan, and go back and try again. If you're beating him though with your defense with just a bardiche, switch it up and grab some decent offensive fire weapons. IE: Solar Mace or Solar Grasp.

In my opinion, 2H weapon is a bad choice vs. a crusader.  Especially a weapon that he knows.  I know your path is based off 2H weapons, but some times you need to do things a little outside the box.  Shield + offensive weapon to start with.  That extra defense will (hopefully) give you time to setup other skills.  If things start going your way, you can switch to dual-wield.  You're kinda screwed in that there's no weapon you can use that he doesn't know.  And I'm not even sure you can cleave a sader weapon beyond a certain level.  Also, were you using protection from good?  That looks like the damage my undeads would take to saders using all protections available.

I have had the most success with polearms vs the crusaders in melee.

I believe a staff warrior, or polearm blademaster with giant mastery, would give them a serious run.
