I'm glad everyone is getting to learn more of this place we've loved and frequented over the years and its founders.  It's just too bad, as it often can be in life, that we get in touch with these things after someone passes.  I always wondered who Alexander was, as I came to FL after he'd left, seeing his name every time I logged in.  I wish his family and loved ones peace and comfort and fond memories.

This is Liz, Alexander aka Christian's wife from 1997 to 2006... I can say this, you all know him from the characters he played on the MUD, usually some bombastic and powerful giant warrior, with incredible leadership skills. IRL he was very much the same in his principles. He lived by a very strict honor code, and was always the one within his group that everyone turned to for advice, for everything from problems at work, difficulties handling grief in life, to how to load a gun or skin a boar. lol... He was a genius with computers, coding, hacking... so I would classify him more as a mage type because of his high intelligence, but he was also a warrior, in that he loved to hunt, he was never a coward, and you he was the type who you had on your list to turn to if any apocalyptic event were to happen.

He loved his people, whether they were his fellow Warlords in roleplay, his fellow IMPS, or all the tech support underlings who answered to him as their manager at Red Hat.

There were times we'd have a cookout at our house, and it seriously felt like that wedding scene from the Godfather, with several people asking his advice. That being said, he wasn't perfect, but he came very close to it, and he became an incredible man within his alloted 41 years of life.

In other words...he really didn't roleplay at all. He *was* the noble giant warrior with an incredible honor code, just with INT 25 instead.

I have to go to work soon but felt the need to write at least this. I'm sure he's very happy you all remember him well. That's all he ever wanted.

Love for you all,

Liz
